From my first conversation with Chad, I was impressed with his ability to explain and patiently answer all my questions regarding hail damage to our 18 yr old roof. He came out a few days later and did a very thorough inspection and explained the situation and all our options. There was absolutly no pressure and he knew we already had another bid. I am impressed by how this company began and who they are. They are firemen, first responders, and military men who provide a needed service for others with pride in their work. I initially reached out to Firefighter Roofing because of damage a raccoon did. It was a time sensitive fix. The person I spoke with via Yelp was so incredibly nice and personable. They are what made me really hopeful about going with this roofing company. The person that came to do the consult said they weren't trying to sell me anything... but then proceeded to go into specifics as to why I needed a full roof replacement soon. While this may be the case, I had a pretty pressing fix that needed to be done before the weather turned. I did like Kelton, the person that did the consult. They were very kind and thorough. His rough estimate was the highest of all the bids that I received for the job but I felt a little more confident about the work with Firefighter Roofing than anyone else. Kelton told me that I'd hear from them within 48 hours. I received a contract with no additional information in the email over 72 hours later. I had to ask follow-ups with Elaine. Elaine said that we could book the job as soon as the next day once we signed the contract. After signing the contract, I heard nothing. After a couple hours, I reached out and Elaine informed me that I was booked for the next day. Might seem odd but I really did need confirmation that I was scheduled after agreeing to pay $900. The person that arrived the next day at 8AM was quiet and methodical. He finished the work pretty quickly. I'd say it took about two hours. The repair is pretty seamless. I do wish that I'd known when the job was complete. He just left without telling me he was done. At almost 4pm, I received an invoice via email. The payment was to be an ACH withdrawal from my bank account. This payment method was not discussed. My husband called to speak to someone regarding another form of payment. When he discussed using his black card, he was informed that there would be a 3.5% fee for using a credit card. This would have added an additional $30 to the bill. He refused to pay that and they waived it. I believe he spoke with the same person that I initially spoke with via Yelp. He said she was very nice. In addition to an estimate for the job, Kelton had spoken in detail about possibly replacing the roof. We asked for an estimate and never received one. I'd say that my initial thoughts of Firefighter Roofing cooled after so-so customer service on the part of Kelton and Elaine. The work itself, again, was very good. That said, I'd be hesitant to use them again. read more

Extremely professional! They did an excellent job with repairing a water leak in my roof that was discovered a little over a year after I moved into my house. Anson the project manager did a thorough inspection of my roof and attic and explained the problem very clearly. I got three quotes total and Firefighter Roofing was the one I was most comfortable with using. The two young men that did the work did a fantastic job. I'm seven months into the repair and haven't had any problems . They recently called to follow up with me to make sure I wasn't having any issues. That's what I call great customer service. Brent and his team did a great job recaulking the 750 louver vents and fixing the leaks in our roof. His communication was great, and his on-site inspection was thorough. Their pricing was fair and the roofing techs took photos to show me before and after, so I felt good about their quality and workmanship. Even despite days of crazy storms in the area, Roy was able to squeeze us in and was at our house in 48 hours to check on a potential leak. We had this roofer out to fix a minor leak, and deselected them based on an excessive quote ($750, vs the $150 route we selected.) The guy who came out was a nice retired policeman, but knew very little about roofing and was poorly equipped to diagnose our issue and provide a fix for the minimum possible expense required. read more

Phil also gave us two options to choose from which was great and when we chose what we wanted, he was able to get us on the schedule quickly even though they're super busy. I requested an inspection of the Ridge Caps on my roof. Roy Metcalf came to our house; went on the roof to check Ridge Caps. Came down, said they looked fine, were not "loose" and in danger of blowing off (as I had been told by another roofing company). He said there were a couple of shingles that the nails were loose; he said he was going to re nail them down & apply some sealant to ensure they were not going to leak; He also re-checked the rest of the roof, said it was looking ok for a 7 year old roof. After the 3/16 storm - high winds, hail and rain - we had a leak that came into through the kitchen ceiling. I contacted Firefighting Roofing to look into a leak and sealing up holes where animals might be getting in after hearing some sounds. Another roofing company had told me all my flashing needed to be replaced and quoted me a very unfair price. Feeling like I may be working with a dishonest roofing company I called Firefighting Roofing and they picked up right away and were super friendly. Jeremy Edgar came out within the next hour and told me the animal noises were most likely coming from the top of the roof rather than from inside and did a demonstration to prove it.
