Nestled in the heart of charming downtown Kent, this hookah bar is the perfect place to relax after a long day. They have many mixes and flavors to choose from and I've never been disappointed. The vibe is very trendy and chic, with wood paneling and accents that are just awesome. My sister and I enjoy going here often. Even though it is a little drive for us, it's worth it every time. I love this place, I go almost every week. The people who work here are all very kind, caring, and sociable. I haven't had a bad experience with any of their employees and I have met them all. The place gets packed on the weekends and it wouldn't if it wasn't a great place. They offer drinks including Coca-Cola products, coffee, Starbucks frapuccino's, and Red Bull. The place is clean and well kept. The only downfalls are that on the weekend you are required to purchase a drink with your hookah order, meaning everybody in the group must buy some kind of drink. You cannot get free water on the weekends, only water bottles. They now limit each hookah to two coals, extra ones would cost as much as a new hookah, which is down right ridiculous. Also, they only really play one type of music on the weekdays, which is the angsty music most of us listened to in middle school, basically a My Chemical Romance Pandora station. All in all it is vary cozy, has a wide variety of great tasting hookah tobacco, and has some of the best staff of any place around! I definitely recommend it. read more

First of all, they get one thumbs up for being the only hookah bar in Kent! Second, for being awesome. The atmosphere is very relaxed and people sprawl out on those couches for hours while the smoke. Firefly has a ton of great flavors and house mixes, and of course, you can always mix and match to your hearts desire. They also have a few desserts you can choose from. When you walk in, be sure you have your I.D. with you because, unlike others, they always check to make sure you aren't a teeny bopper. The wait can be lengthy (there are, afterall, only so many couches), so call ahead to see how long the wait is and put your name on the list. Always do this on weekends. There is a 1-drink minimum Friday-Saturday. So don't be surprised. They can accomodate groups small and large. They have loveseats for two and couches arranged to fit ten times that. A dark, cozy, and interesting change of pace. The Firefly offers a unique environment from your typical bar-like scene. The staff is always super friendly & very knowledgeable to you first time hookah smokers. They have a huge menu of different flavors of tobacco you can try (the spiced rum is a personal fav) & some really good cheesecake too. I also enjoy their chalkboard tables that are fun to doodle on & the music selection is pretty damn good. Not sure who's art they display but whomever it is is a genius! Some of the paintings they display speak volumes and I like that they offer to display local artists work :) A great place for someone who wants to try something new and different in a controlled environment. Firefly is a nice hookah bar with a decent selection of flavors. The price is fairly standard for a Hookah bar (roughly $12 per hookah). Very kind and courteous staff, and the environment is very chill. I wish they had a bigger venue as it's sometimes hard to get a seat for a group over five on the weekends, but that's my only real complaint. I wish they could get a liquor license so you could have a drink while you smoke. read more

This place is really just horrible 99% of the time. The hookah heads are very small. You're only allowed two charcoals before having to pay extra. You aren't allowed to use their wifi. The workers are always sitting in the last booth smoking and ignoring customers. They hardly ever card people. I brought in food once (not realizing you aren't allowed) only to be given a nasty look by the worker and scolded like I was an idiot. Then the next visit, the workers were eating inside from an outside place! Used to be a very cool place a few years ago but now it's just awful. I'll never return. read more

I would write zero stars if I could. When we entered we were greeted by very rude staff. Management was smoking with guests and it was very hard to get help. At one point we were actually asked if we were trying to "show off" for other patrons- as if this were some high school talent show! To further our outrage, as we were trying to get our hookah started while asking for help, this staff member specifically stated "no one wants you here"! Something a business should never tell it's paying patrons! We left in outrage and needless to say will never be back. read more

Recently visited Firefly for the first time with a few friends, and will never be returning to this business. This place is taking advantage of every customer that they receive. The hookah heads are extremely small. After using 2 coals there is an additional charge for coals from that point forward. Secondly if you would like a head change once your head is exhausted, they are charging the entire price of the hookah for the second head ($9-$15 depending on flavor),compared to the average price of $5 at most other hookah cafes. Service was terrible. Was asked if we were splitting the bill, server said she would be back with a new bill, and never returned. read more
