    Seated at the bar!
    Alexis B.

This place is an awesome addition to front street! The upstairs bar you walk into has more of a sports bar vibe with big tv's. The speakeasy of course the highlight though. You walk downstairs into a dimly lit room with a glowing bar. It is very intimate and romantic. You will definitely want to make reservations on the weekends because they have limited space but it adds to the experience. Most of the time they give you a little taster upon entering which I love because (who doesn't like a free little treat!) cocktails are well made by friendly staff. My fav is the sweeter heat! Note: they have a selection of different espresso martinis which I find to be fun! A spin on a classic keeps it exciting.

This is my favorite place on front st for a good martini. They have a great variety of drinks and the speakeasy vibe is super cool

The bar employees were quite rude when we asked for high chairs, snarking they don't have any available here. Looking around there were multiple families who both young children on their laps. Hard pass on this place. Used to be good hangout without kids but we won't be back if they cannot have basic accommodations for families.sad because we like the beers here and food is not terrible for bar food.

Not sure why we've never been before, but we finally checked out Missing Falls Brewery this weekend…read more-- and we're glad we did! The building was easy to find, and while the parking lot is large, it seems to serve several nearby businesses, so finding a spot took a little searching. Once inside, we grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted quickly. The bartenders were friendly and got us menus right away. I ordered a flight and tried Golden Zip, Mango Rx, Nice Pear!, and Get to Steppin'. Nice Pear! was the standout -- a super crisp, light cider with a ton of flavor. Mango Rx came in second for me: great flavor, smooth, and not too heavy. For food, I chose the New Kind of Kick sandwich, which features a spicy garlic crispy chicken breast topped with beer-battered jalapeño slices, bleu cheese, and peppered bacon on a ciabatta roll. It was absolutely delicious. The fresh-cut fries were great, too. We also grabbed the mozzarella planks after seeing several tables order them. They were definitely tasty, but the marinara sauce didn't quite match the quality -- pretty basic and a little disappointing compared to how good the planks themselves were. Overall, we really enjoyed our afternoon at Missing Falls and will definitely be back soon!

The weekend before Thanksgiving we were in town for a dog show and decided we wanted to reminisce and decided to dine at On Tap. I realize that three decades have gone by but the outside looks identical. I was happy. We went inside, not what we remembered but still nice, more a modern take on what it was and a bit more bar centric. The staff were friendly. We decided since we had dogs in the car, it was best to put in a take away order and wait in the car. As we looked thru the menu, we were a little disappointed to find that many of the menu items we loved had now been removed. Once this used to be a menu that was heavily weighted with greek items like souflaki, sauganaki, etc... those were gone. The menu was very americanized... but still had gyros! Yay us!! So that is what we ordered. About 15 minutes later our gyros with fries came out. Gyros were a good size and were pretty good, but weirdly had no lettuce. Maybe we needed to ask for it. Who knows. Still tasted great but not the On Tap of my childhood. I kean.. hey.. it has been 30 years. Lol.

The service is still great along with the environment they provide. Great location to sit and enjoy a drink, some friendly conversation with friends, and watch all the games on a number of TVs. Great beer and drink selection. However, I was disappointed in the gyro. It used to be very good. Now it is just bar food. Just some slices of gyro meat on a pita with a few tomatoes and way too many onions. It was not what i remember. The pierogi were very good and I recommend them. Fries were also decent. They also have a wing buffet on Monday. I am sure I will be back again, but will order something other than the gyro.

Firehouse Tavern - Honest Review…read more We stopped in because one of the ladies in our group was craving sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they're no longer on the menu--even though they still appear on the website. Our waitress explained there's a new manager and they currently don't have access to update the online menu. The atmosphere felt cold and very empty when we arrived, so we asked for something warm to drink. The only options were Coke products, so five of us settled for simply a cup of hot water. There were nine of us total, and the food came out sporadically. We tried to wait until everyone had their meal, but the timing made it a little awkward. On a positive note, I ordered the House on Fire Jalapeño Popper Burger. It came with crispy bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. The menu said the jalapeños were deep-fried, though I only received soft ones. However -- the burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium, and it came out pink inside, which told me the patties are made fresh. My side was the homemade potato chips, but they were just dry fried potatoes without much flavor or crisp. Once everyone finally had their food, the waitress disappeared. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask for water, and was handed a plastic cup with no ice. We didn't see the waitress again until she came around with the checks. The good news is: They do take credit cards The restaurant is wheelchair accessible -- but only if the correct parking spot is open. Once the lot fills (about 10 cars), the incline makes it nearly impossible for a handicap van to park safely. My burger, fries, and cup of water came to about $15. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but between the missing menu items, slow service, and lack of warmth in the atmosphere, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.
