This place is an awesome addition to front street! The upstairs bar you walk into has more of a sports bar vibe with big tv's. The speakeasy of course the highlight though. You walk downstairs into a dimly lit room with a glowing bar. It is very intimate and romantic. You will definitely want to make reservations on the weekends because they have limited space but it adds to the experience. Most of the time they give you a little taster upon entering which I love because (who doesn't like a free little treat!) cocktails are well made by friendly staff. My fav is the sweeter heat! Note: they have a selection of different espresso martinis which I find to be fun! A spin on a classic keeps it exciting.

This is my favorite place on front st for a good martini. They have a great variety of drinks and the speakeasy vibe is super cool

It was picture perfect and I am still missing it. Our server was attentive and kind, the food as always delicious. Overall a huge success, Thank you Darby's. I will be back. wish you would change the front steps, I'm handicapped.

Met a friend here. Her suggestion to come here for dinner. This was hard to score. A lot of good…read morebut a few bad. It was crowded on a Tuesday. They have a taco Tuesday thing but it's not a discount it's 3 tacos and you can mix and match from what they make. Which is not really a special in my opinion. The place has a nice patio and inside can fit an about 10 tables of various sizes. And the bar has seating. Cute place. I see it can get crowded on a Friday night or Saturday night. We got the green bean app for the table. They are cooked perfectly with teriyaki glaze and some tempura but not a lot. They have a sauce that has a bit of a kick but not bad. These are good and good to share. Good portion. I ordered the steak and gruyere sandwich and chips. Sandwich was good. Not big but very flavorful and good. Would have liked a bigger banquette for the sandwich. Ok amount of meat. It was good. The chip side was very crunch and good amount. But to me the chips were a bit greasy tasting. Needed more salt and a bit of flavor. It was a ok meal. The friend that suggested the restaurant got the Ohio burger. It was huge. She cut it into 4's and only ate half. It was big! She also got the chips. Again chips were ok just a bit oily tasting and need salt. The dining area is loud. Lots of people in close proximity talking. It's hard to hear and sound is bouncing. That was a bit of a bummer to try and talk over all the noise. Server was good very attentive and helped with suggestions. Bill for 3 sandwiches, including a burger, a water, coke and cider with green beans appetizer was $81. Not including tip.

Love the wood floors and high ceilings. The panels really helped keep noise down when it became full.

I hate writing bad reviews. It sucks the cool right out of me…read more Let's start with positives. Great parking lot. It was very busy but still plenty of parking. My soft drink was cold and wasn't flat We walked in to the restaurant and the waiting area was packed and people who were waiting for open tables as you try and seat yourself. We decided to go sit at the bar to eat. The restaurant is nice. Somewhat clean. Bathroom could have used some tlc We ordered our food, which for me was fish and chips and my friend got a club. BTW I was on the fence between the Reuben and fish chips but the waitress recommended the fish and chips so I went with that and I also ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. The soup came and I was starving so I dug in and after the first bite was looking for my drink as it was salty as heck. At this point I started having a bad feeling about the food and when my fish and chips showed up my feelings were unfortunately correct. The fish was drenched in oil that was burnt. It was so bad you could smell the burnt oil and even though my plate was full of the oil residue from the fries and fish I tried it. I was totally disgusted and even offered my friend to try it which he did and immediately spit out. I caught the waitress and showed it to her and she immediately apologized even though it had nothing to do with her and she got me a Reuben ordered. Btw the staff was great. The gal tending bar and the waitress who took care of us were great. I also want to add that my friend who ordered the club said it was good. I got the Reuben and again wasn't happy with how it turned out. At which point I asked for check and decided to leave as my stomach was doing hula hoops in disgust. Idk if it was an off day. It is a Sunday around 1pm but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Came out to $50 and imho I could have spent it way better. Idk if I will give it another shot, but who knows. Maybe Jersey Mikes would be safer......

Firehouse Tavern - Honest Review…read more We stopped in because one of the ladies in our group was craving sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they're no longer on the menu--even though they still appear on the website. Our waitress explained there's a new manager and they currently don't have access to update the online menu. The atmosphere felt cold and very empty when we arrived, so we asked for something warm to drink. The only options were Coke products, so five of us settled for simply a cup of hot water. There were nine of us total, and the food came out sporadically. We tried to wait until everyone had their meal, but the timing made it a little awkward. On a positive note, I ordered the House on Fire Jalapeño Popper Burger. It came with crispy bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. The menu said the jalapeños were deep-fried, though I only received soft ones. However -- the burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium, and it came out pink inside, which told me the patties are made fresh. My side was the homemade potato chips, but they were just dry fried potatoes without much flavor or crisp. Once everyone finally had their food, the waitress disappeared. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask for water, and was handed a plastic cup with no ice. We didn't see the waitress again until she came around with the checks. The good news is: They do take credit cards The restaurant is wheelchair accessible -- but only if the correct parking spot is open. Once the lot fills (about 10 cars), the incline makes it nearly impossible for a handicap van to park safely. My burger, fries, and cup of water came to about $15. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but between the missing menu items, slow service, and lack of warmth in the atmosphere, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.

It's a small place and we thought we'd have to wait but luckily a couple were leaving so we got seats at the bar. It would have been worth the wait. We picked a couple drinks off the menu and they were incredibly beautiful and tasted divine. The pizza we ordered had anchovies and pepperoni and I swear it's the best wood fired pizza I've ever had. I wanted another drink and asked the bartender to make me a rum drink of their choice. Within minutes some amazing concoction, it was smoking inside a glass dome of some sort. The garnish was a flamed cinnamon stick and orange rind that looked like a sword. It was incredible. The vibe is nice and patrons are friendly. It's not loud, so you can carry on a conversation, and the music was nice. There is a cute little back room with tables too for groups of 2-4 people. Parking is plentiful on the street and nearby parking lots. Within walking distance of other bars and restaurants. Up and coming area. I can't recommend the Oak & Olive enough and I can't wait to go back.
