Ordered online pick up and waited at the speaker for 5 min drove to the pickup window and the girl with a cocky attitude said we close the drive thru at 8:30. None of the lights were on including the menu which was disturbing considering it was pitch black outside. This store needs to be shut down or its franchise license pulled because it's shaming firefighters with its name. If the owner doesn't see this and take action then I will. For at least the 2nd time in the last year, the dining room is closed with no sign, no notice. The last time this happened, I had called in an order, was unable to go in to pick it up. They wouldn't answer the phone and I had to wait in the drive-thru for over an hour to pick up an online order I had already paid for. I was told then, that they didn't have enough staff come to work to open the dining room. I can only assume that was the same situation today. But again...put a sign on the door! Instead, while eating next door at Freddy's we have watched countless people attempt to go in, attempt to call and then walk over to Freddy's or leave. Though I guess it's better than the time the door was open and they flat out refused to take any orders inside. Very poorly ran location! This place is an overpriced subway. Though the food is not memorable I ordered online, yet the service was still slow and bare minimum.

Ordered a small wheat sub with turkey and American cheese only, they even repeated the order back. Waited for about 20 min in drive-thru. There was a car in front of us, so we thought maybe they had a complicated order. Since we had a long drive ahead, and a small child to feed, we pulled into parking after waiting the 20 minutes to go in and retrieve (what we believed was a very simple) order. Waited another 5 minutes and finally someone addressed me. It was then that i was told that our order was being prepared. 5-10 minutes after that i received the small sub, walked out to the car only to find that it was completely wrong. At this point, our child was hungry and we were frustrated, so i walked the order back inside, only to have to wait - again- for the simple order i had placed an hour ago. The staff did not seem concerned, have any sense of urgency or even apologize. There was only one car i. The drive thru, and one person waiting inside. This location was not currently short handed as many other places. There are currently 4 people working. And one small group of three that just ordered. Made an online order at 6:10. Was told it would be available for pickup at 6:30. I arrived at 6:30 and informed them of my name. At that time they decided to start making my order. I then waited another 10-13 minutes for my order. Over 30 minutes total to make three sandwiches. Employees seem more interested in playing with each other than working. I'll drive to Warner Robins next time I want a firehouse sub. read more

As I am writing this I am sitting in the drive thru line, I am the only car in the line and I have been at the window for 15 minutes, no one has yet to come to the window. The food is amazing though so it's somewhat worth it. It's the only Firehouse in Warner Robins that never gets the order wrong and it always comes out hot. UPDATE To the review below. Firehouse corporate replies to the posts but the franchise owner never reaches out. It is clear from his operation that he does not care about the customer. Changing my review to a 1. This place is awful. The food is their only saving grace. Can we get some adult supervision here, please? It appears to be run by kids. Nobody cares. This is consistent. Tonight, I placed an online order. The girl was sweeping the lobby when I arrived. There was nobody else to be seen. Evidently they were all outside smoking because about seven minutes later, 5 more employees showed up coming from the direction of the back door. They were taking out the trash because they did that later. The girl sweeping came to the register and asked what I wanted. I told her I had placed an online order. She looks at the receipt and then says "they haven't started making that yet". Then she goes right back to sweeping. No bother to tell anyone that my order needs to be made. When are the other employees finally came back in, none of them washed their hands. It was ultimately the girl who was sweeping that ended up making my order, also without washing her hands. They didn't close for an hour but had already emptied all the tea. Additionally, the open sign was turned off. Since I ate inside my car because they clearly don't want me in the building, I heard the guy at the drive-through tell the car that they closed at 8 PM. And to top it all off, I did not get a pickle or napkins in my to-go bag. To the owners: your employees do not want to be here... not even the ones that are in charge. Find new help or close the place down is my suggestion. This behavior is not limited to tonight's visit. To other potential guests: make the drive to Larry's, Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, or heck... even Subway would yield better service. read more

The place was empty with a large red bucket in the middle of the dining area catching a dripping ceiling. We were the only customers and the manager had to bellow for his employee to take our order since they were fully staffed but not paying attention. Spent $50 in the drive thru Sat Aug 6 around 5pm (dining room not open at the Lake Joy location, I guess due to staffing). They didn't have ingredients needed for 2 of their main sandwiches so I had to revise my order. Drove home to find 1 sub missing. Left the family eating what I had ( why should their subs stay in the car getting soggy?) and returned to the store in less than 10 mins from the order time. When I presented the receipt at the window I was told since I didn't have the bag of subs, they couldn't help me. The manager was rude, unprofessional and after I voiced my disappointment in his management of the location, he told me to F off. I nor my family will return to this or any Firehouse. They lost a good customer over a $7 sandwich mistake that was totally on them. read more

How many people does it take to make a veggie sub? I don't know, I left after six hours! Seriously though, this place needs to hire some workers that know how to make a veggie sub. Hint?: All it is? a sub without the freaking meat, how complicated can it possibly be?! There were four people making subs and all four were stumped when we ordered veggie subs. Good gawd! Firehouse subs on Lake Joy never again will I ever visit your nasty establishment!!!! For one I find a long piece of brown hair in my food that is CLEARLY NOT MINE!!!! Two I call up there and the manager MELISSA has a very snappy attitude on the phone when I tell her what's going on ( keep in mind I took one bite, I still have the whole sub) then this Girl hangs up the phone in my face!!!!! So I take the trip back up there, sub and receipt in hand and ask for the manager MELISSA by name, show her my sub with the hair still in it and what does she do... SNATCH THE SUB OUT OF MY HAND AND THROWS IT IN THE TRASH!!!! Then continues to tell me that she's not going to help me because I HAVE AN ATTITUDE!!!! THERE WAS HAIR IN MY FOOD IN MY MOUTH.... AM I SUPPOSE TO BE HAPPY!!! Well I ask for the sub back and she tells another employee to fish it out the trash and walks away. So not taking no for an answer I call the corporate office just to find out that they are privately owned and that they will notify to owner. Well I'm still in firehouse voicing my complaint to the lady on the phone and MELISSA calls the police on me because I was still there . So me being me...I WAIT... they never show up I ask when they are coming because all I want is a new sub or my money back.... it's was that SIMPLE! But no it had to be this big ordeal. Well I had no more time to wait I had to leave. Thankfully the people at the Firehouse on Watson (Owned and Ran by different people) were nice enough to make my sub for me and even offer a full meal for free because of how poorly I was treated at the other location! Ordered double meat on a Hook and Ladder Salad, for takeout. Cashier didn't know how to ring up double meat. Called the manager (who looked like she was 17 but seemed very nice). She didn't know how to ring up the double meat, though they always have rang it up in the past. I was patient. Two other single customers and I waited 20 minutes for our minor food orders, while five people behind the counter seemed to walk back and forth, but accomplish very little. The last customer got their order first. When I got home, we opened the bag and found that the Hook and Ladder Salad had absolutely no meat. Zilch. The plastic (see thru) bowl was half full of greens. I feel like calling Wrigley's Believe It or Not. I am in my early 60's. Never had this happen in my entire life at any eatery whether good or bad. I would say that the service here was alot faster than most places, cause most places I can sit down and eat all my chips way before I get my meal..Another cool feature is that I was able to use my Amazon Pay from my phone... One star because I can't go lower. I'd give this place pass because it's people need new attitudes. I made an online order for lunch today. I got there before it was ready, not unusual and not a problem, but after I waited for 15 minutes and watched people come and go with their food, I asked and found that they hadn't done mine. I received no explanation or apology. When I finally got my sandwiches after a 22-minute wait, I said that this was unacceptable and that I was going to complain to management. The response I got was basically to go right ahead. I'd like someone to explain to me why I should spend another penny there in the future. read more

I go to firehouse at the corner of Lake Joy Road and 96 because it's convenient and I like the food. However, all I ever see there is a bunch of kids with no proper supervision. They are always jawing and goofing off with one another and not much emphasis is placed on service. Nothing wrong with enjoying your work, but it appears that some proper supervision would go along way towards making service better. I'm over 50 and would just appreciate seeing someone who actually knew how to interact with customers in a proper way. read more

I usually don't write reviews but this is an exception. I work right down the road from this firehouse subs and I go here on break to eat. I've been and the last 2 times I've been they have been out of lettuce and this last time out of lettuce and tomatoes. You are a sandwich shop and you don't have 2 key ingredients to make sandwiches. I totally understand that it isn't the employees fault but a manager should do something about that. Other than that the employees are always very respectful and nice. I give them a 5 star on employees but a 3 star on food. read more

The place was nasty there was roaches everywhere. This firehouse is new. Just opened. Went the first night they opened and the people I was with all got there food except for 2 of them. Meanwhile the people who was behind us got there's. We sat there. Everyone finished there's and they finally bring out the missing one. It's ok because they got a coupon for it being late. I went back the next day for lunch. It didn't take long but you could definitely tell it was rushed and made quickly it was sloppy made. Sloppy cut and everything fell apart. If I pay that dang much for a sub it better be done right. Thing is they had about 15 workers there. Why did it take so long and why was it sloppy. The last few times I have visited this location (based on convenience) I have had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the order to not even be correct. No one can ever get your order correct here. Always missing item. The highly unprofessional staff here is astonishing. Always with attitudes and personal problems and complaints!
