Brought my wife's explorer in it's a 2022 with 18,500 miles asked for the lifetime alignment. They told me they couldn't adjust the camera on the right side I needed to pay for a $56 bolt but no problem with the left side, same bolt same system come back pick the car up steering wheel still cocked to the right that was the original reason I brought it in steering wheel after a second alignment still cockeyed to the right this place is a con, they rip you off and I just paid 200 and some odd dollars for a scam con artists. I highly suggest if you need work done, find somewhere else to go. I would rather drive an hour away to pay for an alignment, then go back to Firestone this Firestone. Two different pictures of the same car different alignments different times one at 8:17 in the morning 514 2026 and one at 9:32 in the morning 514 2026 after the original alignment they put it in and said the castor on both the right and left side and the total toe was off after telling me they got it right after the first alignment so they didn't get it right. The first time didn't get a ride the second time the damn steering wheel still crooked to the right avoid this Firestone. read more

Staff not helpful. I asked if they can put 1 bolt on my wheel since it's missing one bolt. They said they don't do that because of " Firestone policy". I go across the street to another franchise tire facility, and no questions asked, they just put in on right away. They didn't even charged me. So it seems like Firestone has no customer courtesy at all even though I regularly bring all 4 of my cars there for maintenance and repairs. Got a quote to replace and adjust two tires and had an appointment set for noon. Dropped off the car and was told it would be about 30 minutes to an hour, two hours later I called and asked for an update and was told the same thing. Finally got the car into the building after three hours...still took an hour after that to get it done. WOULD GIVE ZEROS IF I COULD!!! Awful, awful service!!!! Took my truck in for an alignment and to rotate the tires (I have Firestone's lifetime alignment on both our vehicles). I got there first thing in the morning...7:30...and was the second one in line. I waited and waited AND WAITED...while watching other vehicles being taken in for service while my truck still sat in the parking lot. After inquiring, I was told they will get to it. Finally, they said that my vehicle was ready and gave me an $80 bill for tire rotation and balance! What??? I never asked for the tires to be balanced because they were almost new....AND they DID NOT DO THE ALIGNMENT!! I hit the roof and after speaking with several people who were supposedly in charge, they finally took my truck back for the alignment. I finally got out of there around 1:45. That's over 6 HOURS for an alignment and tire rotation!!!! I will not return to this Firestone!!! I will travel over 30 minutes to a different location for our alignments!! I would give no stars but not optional !!!!! I have a 2014 Kia Sorento and I took it to Firestone because my air conditioner was on the fritz, of course in the dead of Summer it would give me issues. So thinking that I can go to this corporate mechanic and get a reasonable price with reliable answers (definitely not the case). I was extremely disappointed! The initial issue was one side of my air conditioner was blowing hot and one side was blowing cold, they said I had a leak in both sides even though my passenger side was still blowing cold air. Among other things they said I needed to replace my actuator blend door (which I figured) and was quoted $1,700 which left me at a loss for words, but as far as an in depth explanation I wasn't granted and the tech seemed to be getting irritated with what little I did ask, I kindly denied service and I took my Kia to another mechanic. I was informed that it was my blend door that was causing me issues and only charged me not even a quarter amount the price for the full service. Such a drastically huge difference! Shame on them and all of that was still on top of the diagnostic test they charged me $160 for. Terry Cottle and the technician (Hunter) as well as the entire staff there went above and beyond to help us when I had a tire go flat after hitting a curb. They quickly diagnosed the cause of the flat and informed us that as the other tire in the rear was near the end of life on tread (which I had to agree when I saw it). They suggested replacements, but the service took much longer than usual as they had only one technician (Hunter) working (others had just not shown up for work, so Hunter was moving from one car to another as quickly and efficiently as possible). I am giving them a 5-star and kudos because they worked well with a bad situation and their patience and grace with another customer who expected the impossible made me glad we'd brought our car here. I took my 2019 Toyota Camry in for water pump renewal, that all went fine, kept my car for 2 days....I drove my car home (approximately 6 miles) and attempted to reset the TPWS system, didn't work, seems the sensors weren't responding, screen display was blank....took my car back today Tuesday after holiday weekend. I explained what was wrong with the TPWS system not working after the car was worked on a few days ago, I didn't drive the car much and tried to reset the TPWS system to no avail, I explained to Firestone that this has occurred since my car was brought in for repair, I told him it's probably the sensors because nothing is showing up on the display. After them looking at my car for almost 2 hours they finally "fixed" the problem....i had to pay even more to Firestone for something that occurred while it was getting repaired....seems when I pick up the car in the future I will have to make sure EVERYTHING is functioning before leaving the shop....the attitude with Firestone is we didn't touch your tires.....so....what happened? When will I learn? This Firestone location is among the worst I have ever dealt with. I scheduled an appointment for an inspection and an hour later, my vehicle had not moved from my original parking space. When asked, they explained that they only had one inspector. Then why schedule an appointment? No customer service focus, long wait times, no sense of urgency. I was told that it would be 45-60 minutes when I scheduled the appointment by phone and then told two and a half hours when I arrived. Unfortunately, this matches my previous couple of experiences at this location. So, I asked for my keys and then went down the road to Valvoline and was done in a "Jiffy." Do yourself a huge favor and save yourself time, money and aggravation. Avoid Firestone on Berkeley. You will thank me later. read more

Thankfully, I knew enough about cars not to trust them. I took in my car to fix two problems: the AC had started blowing hot, and an exhaust-based check engine light (the dreaded p0420). They came back at me with over $2000 worth of repairs, and tried to charge me before they even had the parts or did the work. Looking at the breakdown of their intended repairs, they were overcharging me (sometimes almost triple the real cost) for every part on the list. Sometimes it was for sensors which might not have even been bad. On top of that, they added in two other services (coolant flush & fuel system cleaning) that weren't related to my concerns at all. I paid for the diagnostic and noped right out of there. 0/10, will not return. I feel bad for all the people who go there, trusting the national brand, and get ripped off so egregiously. read more

This is the absolute worst shop i have ever been to. I went in for 4 new tires which includes a complimentary alignment check. Technician told me the alignment was fine and sent me off. After 10,000 miles my tires are completely bald and need to be replaced. Tech sited off alignment and said i would have to pay for brand new tires and told me that they never did an alignment check. I pulled up my previous work order explaining an alignment check was promised and i was previously told it was done, Service advisor GATZKE looked at me like a deer in headlights and couldn't explain to me as to why I was either lied to or the check promised was never done. This shop sold me tires knowing very well that they would go bad and i would have to come back. This shop also recommended me new struts even after knowing very well that mine were brand new, this is the most grimy business there is and will never come back. read more

Spoiler: get your tires at Sam's club. Or literally anywhere else but here, this place is a fraud and a joke. It is grossly overcharged and just as the stereotype goes, they will take advantage of women that don't know what price they should be paying. Besides that their wait times are no where close to accurate and will throw off your day if you are a busy person or need your transportation for work or family! You could try the victim blaming and say I should have brought a man with me. I say especially as a shop that serves the military community, I expect the technicians to have integrity rather than trying to cheat people with outrageous pricing. 1. Charged over 700 for new tires. When I said I would have to consult with my coworkers before I purchased, he quickly went on to explain very much in depth why I needed these add ins to ensure the longevity of my tires. Everything he said made sense to me so I purchased. When I went home my coworker explained to me that a couple of the "lifetime services" I paid for there you can get for free or close to nothing from most mechanics you build rapport with. He also noted that for much less than the price I paid for what i call "tire insurance" (they get patched and repaired if they are ever damaged) I could learn to plug a tire hole myself or even replace the entire tire for half of what they charged for that "peace of mind." Please note that the tires themselves were overpriced even without the addons- the same tires were $85 at Sam's club totaling $340, meaning no amount of addons/installation fees could total up to over twice that amount! 2. Alot of incompetence with wait times. I had an appt for 1, I was sure my car would be ready when I got off work at 4 because they said it was a 1 hr service. I called at 3:30 to check if they were done and they said they were about to bring it in the garage- they hadn't even touched it yet TWO AND A HALF HOURS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT. There was no phonecall to let me know my only mode of transportation was delayed substantially which was unbelievably inconsiderate on their behalf. I kept calling to check back and it was finally ready at 5:30- a whopping 4.5 hours after the appointment time. This alone is atrocious, but the fact that they never once warned me to be prepared that my 1 hr service would take 4.5 hours is much worse. read more

I dropped my Toyota prius to get an oil change and the hoses replaced. Was told it's a 4 hour job. So 11 and half hours later, I go to the store and they tell me they are working on it.. Then about 5 mins before closing the manager comes to me and say they can't complete the job. I ask why, They didn't have the experience to do the job. I said Ok, pull my car out and it took them maybe a few second to pull my car out.. They didn't even do the oil change.. The next day my brother and I completed the job by watching U-tube on how to change a prius water hoses. Yes, it was a hard job but we did it. And it didn't take 4 hours... The manager Heather was amazing! I had 2 smaller tubeless trailer rims with new tires already on them, but I had been to 6 other tire shops and none of them could inflate them. The beads of the tires just couldn't get set right to inflate and stay inflated. Sure enough Heather and team quickly got to work on my problem (even though they looked busy) and they were able to inflate the tires. I had almost given up on these rims and tires, but Heather and the Firestone team came through! They didn't even charge me anything for their time and refused the tip I kept trying to hand to Heather. I should have gone to them first, and I will moving forward. When I notified the Manager Terry Turnage that one of my wheel covers had come off the day after I bought my new tires, he was just great about it. I expected excuses, or an argument, but instead, he quickly offered to replace my 6 1/2 year old wheel covers with a set of four new ones, without hesitation. My son's truck tire had a nail in it and I brought it to Firestone to get plugged. While they were working on it the technician accidentally tore the bead seal, resulting in the tire being ruined. These tires had gone through about half of their tread life already, so of course replacing a single tire was not going to work. I received a call from the store that afternoon and they said they were going to replace all four tires and wondered when I could bring the truck in. I dropped it off the next day, they put 4 new tires on and I picked it up in the afternoon and didn't cost me anything.
