Cons: Made an online appointment request for 11am the next day. Received an email back with a confirmation. It recommended I arrive a few minutes early to discuss transaction which I did. I was then told that I wouldn't be able to get my oil change until approximately 11: 35 as there was a car receiving that service now.?? I was also quoted $120 even though it was plastered all over their website the Feb special was $59.95. I was told I was supposed to have called in to confirm my appointment which was total BS as nothing in the email stated that. My car was taken in at 11:55 and completed at 12:40. I made an appointment to have my serpentine belt replaced with a new belt tensioner. The charge for replacing the belt and tensioner was $725.16! They used Auto Zone parts. The cost of an Auto Zone belt and tensioner is $44 and $132 respectively. Firestone charged me $116 .99 for a serpentine belt and $267.99 for a tensioner. My appointment was at 10:30. Repairs weren't completed until 2:30. Four hours to change a serpentine belt? The mechanical work was good, but not at $725 for a belt change. read more

Manager Romeo of the store location in Harlingen made a video of my vehicle, laughing and saying that this is a car on drugs. I guess he was supposed to make a video of what my vehicle needed for repairs. But recorded and sent the wrong video. I needed ball joints, and possibly tie rods replaced. Originally sent my vehicle in for an alignment, but it couldn't be done due to those parts of my vehicle needing service.instead I received a laughing video of him saying that my car was on drugs. I've had many years of experience with Expert Tire and fire stone, but never this. Made contact with the area supervisor CHIRO and informed him of what happened. I didn't even bother taking the car in. The young man "knew everything" I knew my TPMS were not working and he kept on saying "they could be. Customers don't always know." I'm thinking I don't have any on because the last place stole them, but "he knew". Then I asked if they should be needed can I have an estimate on about how much this will cost along with 4 new tires.... Again with blah blah. This is the place to go to when it comes to your tires. The agents are usually very knowledgeable about the products that they sell. They were very helpful when it came to advising me on what was the best product for my vehicle and the kind of use that I required. Some of their tires might be a little high-priced but I think you get what you pay for. Even though some of those tires might be high-priced they are worth every dollar. What sold me on the product was safety since this is always the most important factor in any decision I make specially when it comes to my love the ones. On 7/31/20, I attempted to get an oil change at another place. Within a couple of minutes of them checking my vehicle, the mechanic informed me that he can't do the work because my oil cap wasn't screwed in properly by whomever previously did my oil change (Firestone in San Benito). Allegedly, the correct tool wasn't used and there could possibly be damage to my oil housing. They took pics and showed me that my vehicle had been leaking small amounts of oil. I then took my vehicle to firestone to explain the situation and right off the bat, the guy gives me attitude and says, "How do we know the other place didn't do it and is trying to blame us?" I tried to explain that I was watching while they were checking my vehicle and that I witnessed that no work had been done. Well this cashier kept cutting me off and giving his dumb attitude so I had to tell him to shut up because I was talking. It seemed like he tuned me out but I still proceeded to tell him how in the past they've told me something was wrong with my vehicle, quoted me an arm and a leg, and when I took it to get checked by a trusted mechanic, was told that it didn't even need all the work I was told and quoted me about 1/3 of the price that Firestone did. Purchased a set of tires about three weeks ago; set an apt to have them installed. It took 3 and a half hours for the install. After that they put the wrong old tires in the bed of my truck ( they put a set of 20's when my truck uses 17's). I called customer service and was told II would get a call from the store manager (Dan) in 24-48 hours; six day later I called back because no one had called me back. I was told they were escalating my issue to the regional (Richard) haven't heard from him. After 8 days I did get a message from the store manager. I would think someone from Firestone would care enough about their customer base but I guess not; the tire were already purchased so no need to keep customers happy and satisfied. Again 3 and a half hours for a tire install smh and no apology, no discount, no nothing other than poor and unprofessional customer service from this place. Unless you are comfortable leaving your car for 8 hours, don't go to this establishment! The customer service is pitiful and there is no organization with this business whatsoever. I have given this establishment numerous chances but finally had the last straw. I dropped my car off at 11 am to get my tires balanced, rotated and aligned and at 7 pm when I arrived to pick it up, it STILL was not ready. Now the mechanics with years of experience have been sent to other Firestones further away. Management does not work with you. I purchased my tires at a different Firestone location. Came in today to get a nail removed and the tire patched arrived at 3:30. I'm still sitting here at 6:30. I am new to the valley, so I am unfamiliar with good local mechanics who are cheap and honest. I took my vehicle to a few other shops, but like their name, they were a real pain! I needed somewhere open on Sunday for a quick repair. I've used other Firestones in the past, but was very dissatisfied with the service. I gave the Harlingen Firestone a chance and they redeemed the giant company. Joe was awesome. He got me in right away even though I was a bit late for my appointment.. When I first made the appointment, they gave me an estimate. When I got there, the estimate had fallen off by about fifty dollars because of a small error in the information. I signed for my work and left for about an hour. When I returned, the repair was done. It was also cheaper than expected. Joe informed me that when they purchased the part, it was fifty dollars cheaper yet. They passed that savings onto me. I already signed the old estimate, I would have never known the cost of the part to them had they not been honest. They could have easily profited the extra $50. I will definitely take firestone on a store by store basis, given the horrible experiences in the past, but it is a big thumbs up to the Sunday staff here at Harlingen. The worst auto care service I have encountered in a very long time, the corporate people do not return phone calls, yet the have signs talking about integrity and professionalism and a customer care phone number to contact them. Replaced the tires on my vehicle, they did the alignment, while the car was raisedI asked them to check my shocks, I was told everything was In great shape. Following month I had to take the care in to be realigned, and had to return this month again, my car had never pulled in any direction until they did the so called alignment, now two of the brand new tires are worn, not to mention that soon after they did the second alignment, I went to Midas for an oil change and they mentioned my shocks needed to be replaced.
