No communication between appointment scheduling team and service team. Made an appointment which apparently was double-booked and thus the service was denied. They opened at 7, I made my appointment at 8, showed up on time at 11- told to come back next week! I had taken time away from work only to be turned away. Told me the staff was calling others appointment holders to cancel "20 other double-bookings". Wish they took the 2 minutes to call me sometime in the THREE HOUR WINDOW prior to my appointment so that I didn't miss work and waste my time!! But alas, my time doesn't matter to them, an their apology didn't hold weight. Corporate wasn't any help either. 3:20pm on a Saturday. They close at 6. Had a nail in tire that needed to be fixed and am from out of state. They said sorry but couldn't do the job today. Come back Sunday. Problem is, I'm not staying in the area. Asked if there was anything they could do to help, but they said try someplace else. Great customer service. Tire Warehouse on Merril said no problem. I needed an oil change on my Jeep Liberty and my usual place had 5 vehicles ahead of me at 8 am in the morning so I decided to give another place a chance. I went to Firestone and asked how long it would be until I could get an oil change. Interestingly enough they open at 7 am a whole hour earlier than several of the other shops locally. He said a half an hour but it only took fifteen minutes. Very friendly young man was running the counter. I overheard several interactions with male and female customers during my wait time and he was extremely friendly and informative. He was calling customers and informing them of work being done and letting them know if their vehicles were finished. He presented me with a possible concern about my vehicle that could become an issue down the road abit if it is not dealt with... not overly pushy just informative. As a female I hate getting the "oh you are clueless about cars talks and you should really get this done now talks..." He was good about the issue and said if I wanted I could set up an appt to have it serviced later. Overall I was there less than an hour and before I knew it I was on my way to do other things. Overall I would come back again... clean and comfortable waiting area for customers. read more

These mechanics are skilled and, what's even better, *honest*. I went to Jiffy Lube 2 years ago and they told me my battery had tested badly and would die very soon, insisting I needed to purchase a new one. I decided to have my battery replaced at Firestone. After a battery test (and for much less expense,) the Firestone technician informed me there was nothing wrong with my battery. Two years later, and my "bad" battery is still working just fine! Crooks! Tried to charge me almost double of what other shops would charge. Had them install a new starter and they wired it incorrectly which made it appear that the alternator was bad.
