Then, while I am getting my tape measure and flashlight he backs up into my driveway. While he does this he hits a main branch of my well-established tree (1' in diameter and about 30' high) bends the branch back about 4 feet and literally splits my tree in half almost to the base. I could hear the crackling from inside my house! I run out and saw the damage and this guy, Chris, tells me it's my fault because I wasn't guiding him back. Then he tells me the crack was already there! OBSERD! After this he still insisted I buy the wood, there was no way to measure the cord because it was all thrown about in his truck. I ended up not buying the wood and he gave me attitude the entire time. PLEASE, never use this guy.

Alex was the site supervisor and he had a crew of about four people with him. They all went about their business and clipped, trimmed and chain-sawed to great effect for about an hour and 15 minutes. They put all of the materials they'd created into their chipper and then swept up the street before they headed off to their next job. All members of the crew were polite, self-motivated and appropriately dressed for the work done. They adhered to safety procedures throughout the visit. It was a super experience!

And they didn't need to take out my fence to bring in equipment like the other two wanted. Good old-fashioned tree climbing. A rather tall brooch ended up hoisted by my picket fence which save the day from getting roof damage to the neighbors garage roof top. Boy was I lucky! Katherine came in at a great rate. A quick phone call and I could tell that she had plenty of equipment, assistance to call upon, and know-how to get the job done. She even has the proper workers compensation for her assistants. This gave me a level of security that even higher priced bids could not produce could not produce from me. I think I asked pretty good questions including if she had any training on chainsaws. I mean, think about it. You're inviting someone to come work on your property with a chainsaw! This is serious stuff. I feel like she really handled herself well and have a very picky tenant who appeared to be super pleased with the work. I asked if I can keep the word for firewood and she neatly stacked it by the side of the house. Katherine was honest and professional. She knew that the tree stump was going to take some work to get it cut down to the size that was necessary for the dump. She knows where to take it and she priced it right without having to upgrade from the original bid. It was not a problem at all. I highly, highly recommend Katherine and her team to get the job done. Katherine and John showed up at the designated time, and even called prior due to another job. Professional and positive that they could remove the entire stump.. Due to our landscape area, it will be a little challenging with getting the machine to the stump.. I'm glad they came out! I have plans to put a preformed pond liner where the stump is .. but may have to rethink..if it gets too costly to remove...
