The rocks in our front yard had been there for 30 years and were definitely begging to be replaced. I wanted something more attractive and updated, and that is exactly what I got. Angel came out, measured everything, and within a couple of days sent me an estimate. I received three estimates, and his was not the least expensive, but after talking with him, I felt confident that he was honest, knowledgeable, and knew exactly what he was doing. It took me more than a week to make my decision, and then I had to wait my turn. About three weeks later, they were ready to begin my project. Angel was extremely patient with me because I could not make up my mind about the rock colors. My husband and I went to Cinderlite and brought home samples, but I still wasn't sure. Angel even made another trip to get additional samples and brought them to me. I finally found the colors I wanted! The crew worked in extremely hot conditions, yet every day they left my front yard clean and orderly. They did not install the rock until I had approved the design, which they first painted out on the weed barrier so I could see exactly how it would look. I was also concerned about my trees getting enough water. They checked each tree before putting the rock down and then checked them again afterward, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. They came with a crew. Had all the tools they needed. Took all the weeds (including the ones in my garbage) to the dump. They made sure the existing drip system was not harmed, removed dead trees, trimmed remaining trees and bushes, removed pine needles, removed sagebrush in the back driveway and raked everything well. They trimmed and cleaned-up 3 large, mature trees (Spruce, Cedar, Sycamore) around our property and all 3 are looking much better. I have to admit, I was really anxious about getting our trees trimmed after reading several horror stories online about tree-trimming gone wrong, and a terrible experience we had last year with a non-arborist landscaping firm that wrecked two of our honey locusts so badly that we had to remove them. All my fears evaporated when we met with Ronald (a certified arborist) to get a free quote. He was super-friendly, took the time to explain what the work would entail and what we needed to have done, and gave us a quick and reasonable quote. I was able to schedule within 2 weeks, and the work was just completed today. The trimming itself was completed quickly, efficiently, and the cleanup was top notch. The improvement to the tree canopy around the property is a noticeable and they even agreed to leave the woodchips behind for mulch! We did have a minor scheduling issue, but it was quickly and fairly resolved and I'm so grateful to Healthy Trees for all the work they did. I have recommended them to my parents and sister-in-law and look forward to working with them again in the future!
