When I check out I have a rough idea of what I have spent. I try to keep it around $500, but always go over a bit. My total this time was $872.22. I was shocked that I was off that much. I reviewed my receipt with the lady checking me out and pointed out that I was not receiving the advertised discounts particularly on one product. She told me "their system didn't reflect the discount on the receipt, but it was there." This didn't make sense to me. I should have questioned further, but I was holding up the line. Once I got home I reviewed further and saw that I was way over charged. I can't help but believe this was intentional. The display screen shows discounts, but the printed receipt does not and that's what actually is paid.

This annual event provides plenty of food and free parking with a live band ! The Oracle Band performed from 4pm to 9pm singing some old and new school lyrics ! The fireworks started at 915pm and lasted until 10pm. The choreographed firework show was amazing with the lights reflecting off of Laurel Lake. The community in Laurel truly appreciates this family event as the entire firework show was funded by donors. 1. Arrive two hours early to stake your seating 2. Park half at least half a mile away if you plan to stay for the entire fireworks show otherwise you'll be stuck in traffic inside a parking lot for 1 to 2 hours 3. Bring plenty of food and snacks but no alcohol 4. Last but not least, have a Happy 5th of July in Laurel !

REVIEW FOR CABINS: Decided to rent out some of the cabins with friends during THE YEAR OF THE…read morePANDEMIC. We were really happy with the cabins - we stayed in the Chestnut cabin. Here are the pluses: Price - under $50 a night. Bargain! Inside cabin: Electricity - bring a long extension cord with multi plugs. Heat - Such a plus since we were in the fall. Fan - Very useful for the summer. Two bunkbeds with bottom bunks that are either a full or queen. Long table with seating Plenty of lighting Cleaning materials - they provide a broom to keep the floor clean. Outside cabin: Outdoor plug for electricity Two picnic tables - one under shelter (so so nice!) / also next to fire ring Overhang is excellent for keeping things dry and sheltered Fire ring Due to COVID, check in is not until 5 PM. Ugh, what a drag. They did let us get in finally at 4:00 PM - after all, it was a Sunday and hardly anyone was around. Check out is 9 AM. Stay for at least 2 nights. Firewood is $7 for a small bundle. Drive around - you might find better deals from locals. Bathrooms were toasty warm and cleaned daily. We didn't use showers, but other people said the hot water was plentiful and it was cleaned well. Utility sinks are behind the bathrooms and extremely useful for dishes and other cleaning.

Unfortunately we had seats in 5th row and mom couldn't get down to the seats so my husband and mom stayed up top behind the railing and my son and I sat in our seats for 2 innings then moved back up with mom & my husband. The mascot was walking around and mom said she wanted a picture with him lol. I asked him if he would take a pic with her & he did-made mom's night. The restrooms were clean and they were directly behind us. The gift shop has something for everyone & prices range from $1-$100+. The ladies in the gift shop are very friendly and helpful and they will tell you about anything they have on sale. I bought a bib for a gift & market bag. The food was good and not expensive. They have drinks from water, soda, tea and beer. The game is alot of fun and they do alot of games during inning change with the fans. Also the players are much more approachable than the MLB and they will sign balls, books, cards take pics with fan if time. Parking-handicap 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Staff 4/5 The seats-5/5 all good seats and alot of foul balls come into the stand Prices for tickets $$ (great place for scouts(we camped on the field with Boyscouts several years ago) They really appreciate their fans and support the communities and organizations for children. Definitely recommend 100% catch a game or 2 if you can. You'll be happy you did:-). Remember that these players are the ones who have a chance to get to play in the MLB so grab some signatures and pics... might be worth something someday:-)!

The food is okay. The whole facility is well kept. Everything is in very good condition and well maintained. I didn't see one piece of trash on the floor and if there was trash on the floor it was cleaned up quickly. There is not a bad seat in the house. You can sit up close or in the upper seats and still have a great seat, unless you are near the outfield. The staff are very helpful. The only problem with the stadium is the heat that gets trapped in the walkway on hot days. We stood in the concession line and my nieces and nephews nearly exhausted themselves because of the heat.

THE BEST!!!! I…read moreremember getting excited as a kid when we'd cross the bridge from the East Shore and start winding up the steep hill that leads to the park. And you know what? I still get just as excited making that ascent as an adult! This park is so beautiful!! You get THE BEST view you can possibly see of Harrisburg from this one little field. The playground section is well-kept with antique charm. The tennis and basketball courts give nice options for play. So does the baseball field. The picnic pavillion is a nice, shady place to take a breather. The bathrooms aren't even that shabby. And there's ample parking. I actually think Negley beats out Central Park for me. I just love it so much :-)
