I fail to see the difference between DCCU and a big bank like Bank of America. The "help" line is automated and the employees act like big bank workers, faceless and impersonal. While shopping for a mortgage, several realtors told me "dont go to DCCU." I've had troubles using their credit cards, and nobody cares. The phone support isnt local, but an anonymous overseas call center. I've supported credit unions for many years in many different communities, but not anymore. I'll go back to a big bank, where at least they are honest that they dont care and you know what you are getting.

I am going to have to change banks because it seems that when it comes to bills being paid quickly, either by check or electronically through the bank, they are very, very, slow. Sometimes it seems as though the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. This month because my rent payment kept not showing up on the statement on line from them, I actually paid it three times! That's ridiculous. So, I will be leaving and moving to another bank ..... they need to be able to move things along a bit faster to keep up with the times. BB

DuPont uses DISGUSTING business tactics. They will send a blank WARRANT in the mail to an account…read moreliterally 7 days overdue- an account that has never once been late and made frequent early payments. When calling to try to come to arrangement they will refuse any payment plans or deferments. All of this to a LOYAL customer who has NEVER missed a payment or been late. Absolutely appalling.

All branches offer members Coffee or water in the lobby area. I appreciate that DCCU prompts good health by having tellers stand, but hope they get frequent breaks. The Fishersville location has beautiful decor with white brick with banks correlating colors and logos. They hosted an absolute great Open House and I will be sure to be back. If it's raining no worries, this smaller location offers to ATM machine lane's right outside their doors.
