***THIRD AND FINAL UPDATE***…read more Today is October 14th and still no outreach from our church regarding the issues I have listed. We received a second survey several weeks ago about our thoughts on meeting in person (which just started two weeks ago at the Katy campus). We answered the questions in a similar fashion to the first survey from May including expressing disappointment in how the church has treated us during this time. I guess if you don't serve on the "Dream Team" or give a certain amount of money no one will help you when you go through a tough time. We as a family have made the decision to not attend services here any longer.

They're inspiring, motivating, funny, entertaining and all while teaching us the word and showing how it relates to us in today's world and in our society. I love how he stands by the entrance both at the beginning and at the end of the service, making time for people in such a personal way. Today after 12:15pm service, my father and I were waiting to greet him. I dreamed about him last night, so it felt important to at least shake his hand, introduce him to my dad who is visiting from out of country. Pastor Brad was in conversation with someone else, and because of his kindness and desire not to be rude, he continued to give them his full attention. My dad grew a little impatient, and we were about to leave, but just as we were walking away, Pastor Brad noticed us and called out with such warmth: "Hey!" He greeted us so genuinely, as though he had been aware of us the whole time. That moment carried such light, humility, & thoughtfulness- it reminded me of how Jesus notices people, even in the smallest details. It may seem simple, but it meant a lot to me and my father. Pastor Brad's example is a true reflection of Christ's heart. The worship here is my fav. It's powerful, uplifting, Spirit-filled. I've also been deeply blessed by the Freedom Group. Although I haven't quite found close community yet, I still love attending service because of the worship, the Word, and Pastor Brad's Christ-centered leadership. Such a great welcoming team and praise God for the parking team.

The inside of the church is beautiful and has lots of artisan stained glass to stare at. Sermon was good. The whole church stops and says the St. Michael Prayer after Mass, which I grew up doing as a kid in PA but I have never encountered in a TX parish. I suspect a lot of people who go to church here are Czech and Polish descent but you don't need to know how to make pierogies to go to church here. (incidentally we found the Brenham Grill inside of the Ant Street Inn for dinner by using the back of the church bulletin.)

As we get older, we need help to point us in the right direction especially being such a large facility.
