The visitation and funeral service were conducted by two pastors. They did a really remarkable job of bringing comfort to the grieving family. Blakely Funeral Home made the arrangements and orchestrated everything from start to finish! This is a rural Southern Baptist Church that mostly caters to the local community. Just good country folks for the most part. A lots of history at this place of worship.

I decided to come to this cemetery this morning and have a look-see. Supposedly there's three…read morehundred thirty two gravesites here. I'm not sure I saw that many. I did see what's typical in a lot of the local burial grounds and that is a large number of the older tombstones are pretty badly worn and it's almost impossible to read what's inscribed on them. I didn't see any really old tombstones that I could verify. Unfortunately, I saw a couple of monuments that had fallen over and have not been picked up. Overall, the grass in this cemetery is pretty acceptable and doesn't need much weed whacking.

Everyone regardless of their religious beliefs are welcome! I'm not sure how a pastor would be able to lead such a diverse group in the same direction! Nevertheless, it somehow works for them! People are invited here who otherwise might not feel comfortable in a more established church.

There's lighting for nighttime baseball games too. Also there's an adequate amount of seating for fans. A concession stand is in place and looks good.
