I rate CSJ four stars as there were no communication in reaching out to alumane or current students to request financial assistance as on one fine day an unexpected announcement was dropped during an assembly in October 2009 for the Stella Maris High School's closing. As a SM 1993 alumane I am completely heart broken as I entered my freshman year as a painstakely shy girl yet four academic years later became an outgoing young lady with much aspirations. CSJ did not choose to host any fund raising in any attempt to save Stella Maris after sixty-seven years of all-women RC secondary education, which is utterly disgusting disappointing to give up without any motivation or attempt to survive 2010's ailing economic state. Despite not being Lutheran, I immediately felt at home. The church has a strong children and family program, with weekly Sunday school and regular activities for kids. I love the focus on community, fellowship and service - it's been a great way to instill important values in my kids. But even if you didn't have young children, there's something for everyone here. The music is a highlight too - I love hearing the beautiful performances by the choir, organ and soloists each week. On holidays, they bring in additional instruments and it's a really lovely and moving experience.

Beautiful church from the 1960s. The altar is gorgeous with gold accents. The walls are mainly…read morewhite and gray color scheme which really highlights the stained glass windows. The vaulted ceilings makes the choir and chorus sound divine. Unfortunately it also makes it hard to understand the homily when the priest uses the microphone there's a bit of echoing happening. About six years ago they renovated some parts of the church and it really looks great. And conveniently, they have a huge parking lot on one side which also features a flea market on most days.
