This is the second time leasing a Ram from First. The first time went relatively smoothly. This time around, it kept getting worse and worse. We made an appointment in the morning with David Hamel. And when we booked said appointment, we stated we wanted to leave with a new truck same day and wanted this done as quickly as possible. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. We test drove the truck and things were going fine. We noticed some ants on the truck, but figured it was just from sitting on the lot. When it came to negotiations, there was a lot of back and forth, fine and expected. I basically had to push the paperwork along myself, asking what we could be doing to speed this along vs just staring at each other twiddling our thumbs. Numerous times David disappeared rather than work to finalize the sale. To this day I still don't have the registration for the truck I've now had for 3 weeks. The man in finance got us through very quickly and was pleasant to converse with. He was the best part of the experience. During this time David told us the truck was getting cleaned and would be ready at 2pm, so we decided to go to lunch to kill time. Back from lunch, we are waiting for our truck. While we waited I asked if I could test drive another vehicle as we were in the market for an SUV as well. David said yes over text but when he came back from wherever he went, he said no. At 4pm David tells us that our truck is getting cleaned now. Another hour goes by, my husband goes and tells him to just give us the truck and we're tired of waiting. He refuses and says it's almost done. At 5:30, we finally get our "clean" truck. The truck was rinsed off at best and looked the same as when we test drove it, but with more ants. When we drove off, insulation came flying out of the left corner of the dash, and now air comes into the cabin making an annoying noise going over 50mph. Turns out there was an ant nest in the truck. How did that not get addressed when getting cleaned? Either way we were so irritated with the whole experience, we dealt with the ants ourselves. We had no intention of writing a poor review, as even though these issues made for a poor experience, we ultimately like our truck. However, after the countless attempts from the dealership asking us to fill out a survey, we did. We were honest with our experience with David. Rather than attempting to resolve any of the issues we experienced or at least offer an apology, I received this text from David (attached). First Chrysler. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP !! I bought a Jeep wrangler and when I test drove this and looked it over it had an engine cover. I took delivery and a few days later I looked and the engine cover was missing. I checked with Chrysler Corp. and they confirmed the Jeep was built with an engine cover. I was told from the general manager (Dennis Freeman) that he would order me one but it would take 3 months, it was on back order. Then he informed me that the part was discontinued. Women beware! This dealership is extremely misogynistic . During the purchase of my jeep all questions were directed to my fiancé (a man) despite the fact that I clearly stated I'd be sole owner of the car. Post-sale they thanked and congratulated him multiple times and shook his hand, completely ignoring the fact that I was the one who paid them and signed all the paperwork. I continuously stated that this car was mine but they continued to address only my fiancé. It was appalling! While I love the car I purchased from this dealership, it's been three months since I bought the car and the dealership still owes me work agreed upon during the sale (chipped windshield and reimbursement for the inspection). I've follow up via email, phone, and even went back on site and everyone I've spoken to has been unhelpful or unresponsive. Don't waste your time with this dealership. I felt I was able to get a good deal considering the state of inflation right now. I was given plenty of time for two test drives during my visit to make sure I was satisfied. If I could give zero stars I would. Exactly 18 days ago I turned in my 2017 Jeep Renegade for a simple repair of the plastic front bumper that had fallen down and was almost touching the ground. I only needed the plastic front bumper reattached and a new battery. When I turned my vehicle in for repair, I asked for a loaner vehicle since I have young children. I wasn't offered a loner vehicle even though this is a car dealership with tons of cars just sitting around collecting dust. I was told I would have a loaner vehicle in a day or so. I'm a Marine with 2 small children at home so I needed a vehicle to get around while mine was being repaired. First the communication from the service department was horrible. Whenever I called to inquire about the status of my vehicle, or a loaner vehicle, I always got the run around. I never once Received a call from their service department and It was always me calling them. Whenever I did speak to someone no one gave me any updates on getting a loaner vehicle or any updates on the repair status. All I got was excuses and deflections whenever I spoke to someone in the service department. Something this simple shouldn't take half a month to fix. I called numerous times and didn't get a single call back from anyone in the service department. This was extremely frustrating since I have very young children and I need a loaner vehicle. As a U.S. Marine Veteran I find this kind of service unacceptable. A simple loaner vehicle and proper communication from the service staff would have solved this problem. I just couldn't get a straight answer from anyone at this dealership in regards to my vehicle repair. After 18 days of no answers and constantly being lied to about the status of my vehicle by the staff, I decided to remove my vehicle from the premises. I was concerned that my car has functionally been stolen by this dealership given their lack of responsiveness and inability to get things done in a timely manner. When I picked up my vehicle the bumper was in the exact same condition as it was 18 days prior! Half a month and no progress on repairing a plastic bumper is completely unacceptable! Terrible experience! After having some trouble getting a Sat. appt. online, I decided to try the Express Lane service. I brought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee to the dealership on 2/4/23 and arrived around noon for an oil change, tire rotation and multi-point inspection. The service advisor asked me twice if I had an appointment. I explained that I was there for Express Lane service. Another employee told my advisor that they should be able to get my service completed. The service advisor told me it would be 2-3 hours so I got a ride home. The advisor called me around 1:45pm to tell me that my car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I saw my keys sitting on top of a printed invoice on the counter and noticed some highlighting. One item said "rear differential is cracked and blown. can lock up rear end while driving rec replacing asap." The second item said "oil cooler leaning oil recommend replacing asap." Next to both of these items, the reason denied said "customer will have work performed later". I am not familiar with auto mechanics and was never asked about whether or not I wanted to make these repairs before looking at the final invoice so I asked the advisor about these items. She explained that " bad things could happen" if the rear differential gave way" and that while they didn't see any oil leaking yet, the cooler should be replaced before it started to. I paid for my oil change and tire rotation and went home. I ran a few short errands on Sun. and drove 22 miles to work public school special educator on Mon. My boyfriend talked to the automotive teacher at the technical high school where he works that day. I learned that I shouldn't be driving the vehicle, as I could lose my entire rear end or have my engine seize up. I headed directly back home and to a local service station next to my house (as First's service department was already closed). The mechanic looked at my car, agreed that the differential was cracked and said the car shouldn't be driven. Upon checking the engine compartment, he found that the dipstick wasn't registering any oil and that the area around my oil filter was completely surrounded by a nest. He cleaned a large amount of debris out from around the oil filter and ended up finding only 2.5 L of thick black oil in my car as well as a filthy dirty oil filter. He changed my oil and oil filter the next day. I returned to the dealership Tuesday night around 4:45 to express my concerns--both that I hadn't been told that the vehicle shouldn't be driven and about the nest/debris that had been found. I was told that they'd refund me the cost of my oil change and would let the service manager know about what had happened but that I'd have to come back on Wed. morning because he was the only one that could issue the refund and he had gone home for the day. On Wed. morning I arrived and asked to speak to the service manager. When I was introduced to him, I asked if he had been advised about what had happened with my car. He very sarcastically replied, "Oh, yeah..." After I sat down, he said, "What can I do for you?" As I explained everything, he became very argumentative. He told me that his service advisors told him I'd come in the previous night before admitting that I'd known the car shouldn't have been driven...told me that my warranty was out of date. I asked if there were any recalls on the differential. He just said no. When I addressed the concerns about the lack of oil in the car and the nest around my oil filter AND showed him my videos, he not only insisted that the oil had been changed but that the part with debris around it was my air filter and not the oil filter. After he continued to insist this, he said, "I hear you want your oil change refunded. I'll do that so you don't have to come back..." I couldn't believe he'd said this and told him so. He continued to argue that the debris was from my air filter and not my oil filter. Finally I just told him to refund me for the oil change and left. Very dissatisfied. We dropped our Jeep off because the radio was not working. We assumed it was broken and would need to be replaced. They proceeded to inspect the radio and confirmed it was broken. Jeep then told us they don't replace radios on that model year and charged us $130. Very deceptive, fraudulent business practice. We should have been informed before the service that if the radio needs replacement, they cannot do it. They the told us to go to a audio store for a new radio. I will never have my vehicle serviced their again. I tried calling the owner, but he refused to return my call. FYI, they did offer a used radio days later, but we had already replaced the radio. When we were negotiating price with the kind sales lady, it wasn't exactly where we wanted to be so we were ready to head off to our next dealer, but kind sales lady asked if we could wait one minute to see what she could do to make it work because it was close! This is where "sales manager" enters, he was confrontational and condescending, just down right disrespectful. It was suddenly very uncomfortable for my husband and I. I totally get that sometimes a dealer and customer aren't going to be able to negotiate successfully, but customers should still be treated with respect. This has got to be the worst dealership ever. I've had my car serviced there a few times because they were close to work. Workers left oil stains in my car when replacing my drains. I brought it back for an ignition switch recall and now I have some kind of electrical issue where they had to pull my horn relay. They told me to bring it back next week cause they were too busy and when I checked under my hood when I got home and they left two covers (electrical boxes) uncovered and just laying on top of the engine unattached. I went to a dealership because I thought they were more trustworthy and transparent. I had a major expense happen to my jku to which I am still making monthly payments on; and to which is out of warranty as of a year ago. Needed my head/values replaced (2000$) back in may of this year. The year prior had the cams/rockers/lifters (1800$) on the right done under warranty, thankfully. So I ended up having the work down in may to have my check engine light return just four months later, cylinder 2 misfire. I wait two weeks for the appointment and when I got the call to give me a diagnosis, well it really wasn't a diagnosis of my vehicle and what is wrong with it but instead they wanted to clarify the work they did previously wasn't the problem. And that was a 160$ fee for that answer but quite literally didn't help me figure out what is going on. Instead offered a diagnosis fee of 1500$ to check the cams/rockers/lifters etc.. So what if it were to be a coil pack; I'd pay triple the amount. No thank you and absolutely disgusting. You honestly should be ashamed of yourself. Absolutely couldn't pay me to bring my vehicle there. Thank you for proving once again mechanics can't not be trusted! How about some good old honesty and compassion for your career. read more

Zero Stars. This was the final straw of multiple poor experiences and non-existent customer service at First Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I brought my car in for a basic oil change last Friday. On Sunday, my check engine light went on. It turns out my oil was overfilled about 2 inches above the max fill line on the dip stick. Amazing that my engine hadn't seized. On Monday morning, my husband brought my car back to the dealership to have them rectify the issue. What did we get for the inconvenience of them almost ruining the engine of my 2 year old vehicle? Nothing but a shrug and a less than genuine "sorry". They claimed they thought my vehicle had a different sized engine. They weren't even going to document the service work until my husband insisted. Imagine my continued surprise when I got home from work that evening, we rechecked the oil level, and it was STILL OVERFILLED. Went back in a THIRD TIME, on Tuesday morning. The usual Blonde customer service rep wouldn't acknowledge or make eye contact with myself or my husband, though she definitely knew who we were, as we could hear her tell her manager "the guy with the oil change issue is here". (A side note I need to add is that this specific employee has had a negative attitude and terrible customer service skills every time we have interacted with her.) Finally, the service manager came out, again, NO APOLOGY, and had their "Ford specialist mechanic" come out to check my oil level. The mechanic decided to fully drain my oil and start over. He at least was prompt and polite. I will also point out that we never received an apology or explanation from the service manager or the customer service rep for the fact that they messed up twice. ZERO attempt at any service recovery. I have worked in customer service for over 10 years. I understand people make mistakes. But it's how you handle those mistakes and perform service recovery that matters the most. We would have been happy with an apology and a coupon for our next service. Or some acknowledgement that they messed up and could have ruined my engine. Or even if they simply offered to get us a drink while we waited. ANYTHING to ease the inconvenience of having to be late to work two days in a row due to this dealership's mistakes and the fear that my engine might have residual issues down the line now. Instead we were treated like a nuisance. This establishment clearly does not care about its customers or the service they provide. We have been customers of this dealership for a few years now. Even recently purchased a truck there this past May. I have had the worst experience of my life at this place. Let me start by saying that I did not buy my car here but am in the middle of having it serviced here. I came here because the place that I bought my car from 2 months ago said I needed to go to a Chrysler dealership since my warranty is still covered by the manufacturer. My journey with this company is I bring my van to be assessed with the multiple problems I'm having. I drop it off and never get a phone call. I finally call them at 3pm because I need a car so I need to find out what's going on. They tell me I can pick it up. Luckily I have a ride this day. So I go to pick it up and I'm told that it was recommended by the service technician that I leave my car at the dealership because the mechanism in my car that needs to be replaced could cause my car to just not start at all leaving me possibly stranded. They don't have any cars to lend so they call enterprise to give me a car. Enterprise picks me up and brings me over to their place only to find out it's on me to put a $50 deposit down for a rental. THIS WAS NEVER TOLD TO ME. I can't afford this right now in my life. So I go back to Chrysler just to pick up my own van which was recommended NOT to take. I schedule a service date. I come in on my service date have a shuttle bring me to work and wait for a phone call. CRICKETS. So again 3pm rolls around and I call. They can't tell me anything about my car yet. I have a shuttle pick me up and when I get there find out that my car wasn't even touched all day. All of this, for NOTHING. So I go back in because I would like a rental that Chrysler can offer me. Still they suggest enterprise.. AGAIN I tell them I can't afford that right now. The service manager has the audacity to look me in the eye and say well we are offering you a service you just can't pay the fee. HOW EMBARRASSING. WOW!!! I leave for the day in my van that has not been fixed just to be able to come back the next day and do it all over again. Oh BTW I am a single mom with 2 kids that go to camp that I need to now drop off early and pick up later than usual which means I'm already paying extra for them for after care expenses. One star for repairs done correctly thus far. I have no issues with repairs, and the mechanics seem good. My dipstick was missing (meineke forgot to replace) and they replaced it. Courtesy drivers were very nice My issue is the lack of customer service. The receptionist is perpetually on lunch break. That was the excuse every time my calls were not returned (at least 4 times). I asked her if she could send courtesy ride to my house at 2. She said to call at 1:30 to set up ride. I call and guess what. No answer. Why? At lunch. Literally the worst. Like why bother telling me to call if you're going to lunch. Never answers phone, straight to voice mail (they have caller ID btw). Doesn't return calls. I'm not sure why she's even here. Maybe someone owed her a favor and gave her a job. Lucky for her because I honestly don't know who else would employ this useless human. My 9 year old would provide better communication. After looking at the reviews on Yelp, I see now I should've looked at these years ago! I had purchased my Jeep from another dealer, however I lived in the area so decided to go to First Chrysler for all my warranty work for the past few years. Not terrible service but not overly friendly like I feel a business should be, but after running out of warranty I continued to get service there based on convenience. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change just a few months ago and had no issues. Last week I brought it back for an oil change and an inspection sticker. I was given a laundry list of "issues" with my vehicle with a total of $2500 worth of work. They made it VERY clear I cannot get a sticker without getting this work done. After feeling that I was being taken advantage of, I got a second opinion and had ZERO leaks and issues with my vehicle. In fact, I was told even if I did have these alleged issues, it would NOT prevent me from getting a sticker. Just got my inspection sticker today with no issues, interesting. I was so angry with being lied to and in my opinion being "tricked" into getting unecessary work done. I just had the pleasure of dealing with Mellissa O'Connell in service. Called for an express oil change was told I could come right in. Told her to check for antifreeze smell. Radiator on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler was bad. Replaced on the spot under warranty with an oil change in 1.5 hours. Wow!! She is excellent. read more

Horrible experience!! Called and explained that radio and Bluetooth were not working and corporate Jeep said it was the radio. Gave make and model when making appointment for the diagnostic test and replacement but told Jeep no longer services the radio for this year! No explanation on why not told when making appointment. Service manager tried to justify that technician spent an hour including "complementary check." Why charge knowing you can't service the problem?!? Basically paid $130 to agree "yes your radio doesn't work." read more

I don't know if I can even give a rating at this time! My 2019 Jeep Cherokee has been in their service department for over 6 weeks with a defective transmission. Has barely 14,000 miles. Chrysler blames the service department for not filling out paperwork properly, service department blames Chrysler warranty department yet I'm the one still making my lease payments and still waiting for my vehicle!!! I know with certainty I will NEVER do business with this dealership or Chrysler ever again!! The lack of communication, lack of knowledge is ridiculous. I can never get through to managers, they take days to get back to me (I'm assuming it's because they don't have the vehicle fixed) I made them give me a loner and it's a base model compass that is probably $200 less a month than what I'm actually paying!! I have even contacted Jeep to file a complaint and still haven't been taken care of! I think I've been pretty patient the last 6+ weeks but I'm done now!! read more

I've never written a review on Yelp before, so this should show how awful this dealership is. By far the worst dealership experience and customer service all around that I've ever had. I'm a long time Jeep owner with MOPAR Lifetime bumper to bumper Warranty on my vehicle. My car was towed there after breaking down near by. After leaving a voicemail and not hearing back for a week I called and was finally told by a sales rep Jillian that my car was still being looked at and to wait a day and she would give me a call with an update. 4 days went by and I never received a call. I then called there myself and was told I'd get a call back update that day. I never received it. Days later I got an estimate and it was 17k. Yes you read that right, 17k. They managed to add on as much additional maintenance/service costs as they possibly could to up the bill. Shocked by the total, I asked her to run the parts that needed to be fixed through MOPAR warranty to see what is covered, take off the unnecessary filler maintenance totals that I did not need or want to have done and please send me over an adjusted quote. She said she would have it by the end of the day. It was never filed or sent to MOPAR. I called MOPAR and they verified this. In fact, after another full week of calling with no updates or call backs I was told after going through new sales reps that she was no longer with the dealership she had either quit or was let go but no one told me or gave me any updates. 3 weeks at this point. I had to relay my information to a new sales rep who seemed new and didn't have an understanding of what was needed. After being on the phone with him after calling back after more days going by waiting for update he said "hold on one minute" and I was greeted by the sales representative Mike for the first time with the abrupt and rude statement "We aren't gonna work on your car you need to get it out of here and towed". Stunned, I had to explain the above scenario, how long I've been waiting, and how my initial sales rep and new sales rep have not entered in what was requested. Mike then said he would do it and he'd call me back with an update. Surprise....I never received an update and had to leave voicemails with another week going by. When I finally got a hold of him he blamed MOPAR and said the reps didn't do the evaluation. I called MOPAR and they told me they had. Another week goes by. I called MOPAR this time and they told me that the cash value buyout amount for my vehicle had already been emailed to them and to contact the dealership. After leaving another voicemail to the dealership and not hearing back for multiple days I called MOPAR and they confirmed the check was shipped. I called the dealership and finally at this point after another week Dennis the GM told me I had to pay a $150 diagnostic fee which I did not think was reasonable. After 2 months without a car I decided I'd just had enough at this point and wanted to pay the fee and get my check and tow my car out. I went in and all the sales reps were confused about where the check was. I was told to go to the payment rep to pay the fee. The payment rep did not have my keys or invoice and told me to go back to the sales rep station. The sales rep came back over with the invoice and said "So, you know you have to pay this in cash right?". Confused, I said I don't understand. He told me Dennis had told me I need to pay cash for the diagnostic fee, which he NEVER did. Mind you, I have my wife, 3 year old ,and 8 month infant waiting outside now for a very long time with our only car on the one day we could get off to handle this. I said I have a credit card here and will pay with that. He told me "the only way you can pay is cash" I asked why and he did not have an answer. I asked the payment rep if she had ever heard of anything like this before she said "no". The sales rep came back after talking to Dennis again to tell him I had a card and he said the same thing. At this point I'm very frustrated and asked to speak to Dennis because this was beyond ridiculous. Dennis circled the corner and started yelling at me in front of his entire staff exclaiming "You're not getting the check or your keys unless you pay cash, so forget about it!" I said why and where does it say cash only? He yelled "don't worry about it!" called me a "punk" and said "I'm the cash only sign!". I said I have a card, you have the credit card stickers you accept right on the window. He said "don't worry about the window". He told me to "pay cash or get the hell out of here". I asked for his last name, he again said "don't worry about it". When I left and came back with cash I was greeted by a snark, prideful looking Dennis saying "yep, going to handle the trouble" while giving his colleague a high five. Never go here. Never give them your service. The 1 star yelp rating makes sense now. I should have checked before I had it towed there. read more
