Much better than going to my parents 'too big to fail bank' where it's a non-stop headache for me to withdrawl money. Each time I go in with the required I'D. and the next visit they add another hoop for me to jump through! I'm running out of I.D., fingerprints, signature on a keypad at teller station, etc. It takes them well over five miinutes to process a withdrawl for me even though I have the checkbook with me with my name on the acct and all the identification possible! During my last visit to the 'too big to fail bank' the teller had to make a phone call to corporate to make sure I could have a print out of the statement! Anyway, today when I was unable to use a simple feature that I have been able to use on Bank of America ATMs quite frequently over the last 10 years, I went inside and politely asked for assistance to a customer service agent. I stood in line and waited to speak to a clerk. I began to explain but before I was even able to, she abruptly told me she would not be able to help me and instead I would need to call the "1-800 Number" for ALL ATM related issues. I have been a customer here for over ten years and for this young lady to not even listen to my issue and allow me to elaborate on my concern was extremely rude and shut me down immediately. I moved here from Asheville where there ladies there went out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. I have now been told that because of their own mistakes that my account is under review and no funds available until the fourteenth. I called the Hendersonville branch only to find out that they refuse to answer their phones, wonderful customer service, if you don't believe they offer great customer service look at the sign behind their counter, what a joke !!! When you contact the executive division you get the same run around treatment. do NOT bank at Wells Fargo if you want to be treated like a person. they don't care. they suck.

We'd had this First Citizens checking account for almost 45 years, and we had a First Citizens…read moreCredit card. We noticed that charges were starting to appear on our CC that weren't made by us. So we called First Citizens and let them know. They said they couldn't really do anything until the charges posted and were no longer "pending." We noticed the next morning the charges were still coming fast and furious so we called again. This time the person at least canceled the cards so no one could continue these fraudulent charges. They assured us we wouldn't be liable for these charges. After 2 months of investigating, FC finally refunded us for the charges (we had to pay them in the meantime) however then they charged us back almost $400 saying they think it really was us on some of the charges. Absolutely maddening! Suffice it to say we canceled the cards and our checking account. First Citizens no longer seems to care about their customers - we now bank at Champion Credit Union. So far, so good!

I tried to get a HELOC loan, but the bank smothered me in paperwork. I went elsewhere: no problem. Then the bank added new security measures, effectively locking me out of online banking. And now, I am told that the escrow payment check (not personal) we deposited won't be available for almost 2 weeks. Since we need those funds to pay a loan, I'm stuck. All in all, HT's not what it once was. We're looking elsewhere.
