YW for the time we spent writing this to you as we have so many important things we would rather be doing than communicating with the parents and athletes. Like counting our trophies; or reminiscing over the tears we have collected of the many who have tried but failed to exist in harmony with our toxic gym philosophy. They couldn't cut it here, but you (probably won't) can!!! You could set your money on fire or give it away, either way say adios to your pesos Next up, For an unconfirmed fee (we have had 3 different sources quote 3 contradicting fees...everyone is NOT confused, we are all right in our own way so it's nothing we can help, we are victims to the process we designed.) We will get back to you on that number- PSYCH! We probably won't actually, but we include that so you think we are trying to be communicative. Remember it's all about how it SEEMS, reality is irrelevant! We promise to prioritize seeming like we care, YW! So for this fee we will give you 10 of the secret-unwritten-rules for you and your parents to follow while you are molded exactly into the shape WE have chosen for you. We do have a very extensive preferential system in place that has taken years of cunning darkness to make perfect. If you utilize these tips you probably still won't avoid the merciless tantrums of our King. But you could try...and maybe they'll work!! Positivity is our #1 priority, so don't look at this as the King's heart and soul as being empty, he just doesn't have either to begin with! See how I made a positive out of that!? He doesn't have them to begin with, so they can't be evil! Are you catching on yet, cheerleader? YW! Furthermore, you may encounter on your journey here the whispers from those burned by the passive aggressive drama that we keep under the rug in the office that we don't organize. These poor unfortunate souls are why we can't even have a Yelp. #Can'tEvenHaveAYelp. Some people can't cut it here so they leave us honest reviews and we hate that sh$t, so now we can't even have a decent way for people to learn about our flaws. The flaws we spend so much time covering up. GEEEEEZUS! It's always someone else's fault and even if we lose we find a reason that we didn't win!! Score!! Don't worry you'll either be a winner or you'll at least be able to explain why you didn't win without taking one ounce of accountability. ‍ Which brings us to Unwritten Rule #1 It is your fault, and it always will be. THE GYM is never at fault. THE GYM does no wrong. THE GYM is perfect. And if you think otherwise then you can happily leave. We are perfect! "Welcome" to our perfect gym family. #gymily We do not like people who have minds of their own and that sh$t will not be tolerated here. Period. Even if we have to twist everything we can to make it look like we did no wrong. We have no bar too low for that my friend. Oh cheerleader, you will get in line or get out. ***But it's a perfect line and MUST be straight at all times.*** Like the stiff pasta we let you buy for yourself at the End of Season "banquet". Unwritten Rule #2 Win at ALL Costs BUT don't expect to be trained based on your individual needs OR as a team member. NO we will put you on the team WE need you on so that OUR Gym wins, this is not about you, cheerleader. No dear, you are just a pawn we move around and place where WE need it so can hang the glory trophies on OUR walls. They really shouldn't even be called teams really. We have scenes like in a movie and if we cast you to play a part you will play it and we may move your part, delete your scenes, replace you, etc however we deem necessary. This is about us remember, THE GYM. Not you. Side Note: Your safety is our utmost concern though, so we will have decent coaches that are not certified at no additional cost to you, those are included with your monthly "tuition". The coaches ages may vary from 15-45yo; coaching experience and/or formal training for the coaches isn't exactly necessary. That's what sets us apart from other gyms!! No certifications needed here. We'd lose the documentation of it anyways, so why bother? ‍ Cheerleader, I know you *thought* you read it here that I would give you 10 unwritten rules, but I think you got so excited about the rules you largely inflated that number. Nobody answered when I called twice and I registered for a class online said I was in the books…read moreshowed up and no one was there. Different stations around the room with instructions using bands weights and yoga/Pilates type movements, some cardio. Five minute intervals then one minute break. I got a good work out. The instructor was completely unqualified and unable to give any example. He was unfriendly, did not greet us ever, did not learn our son's name, yet yelled at him calling him "boy". His demeanor was awful and he should not be working with children. My son became very anxious at this behavior and ran away crying, only to be grabbed by the instructor. We left and never came back. This was a horrible experience!

We set up a trial class for my team gymnast as we moved to the area from out of state. We come from…read morea gym and a coach who is very big on safety, technique, and skills. The coach/owner here Stephen is extremely egocentric and arrogant. He likes to look good in front of the parents and not too focused on the gymnasts. I noticed my daughter doing skills that needed correction, and when you look for a coach, they are either talking with each other or other gymnasts like they wanted to be their friend rather than a coach. They are NOT very particular on safety which is a huge issue especially in this sport. He mentioned that my daughter would be a great fit for his team but when I mentioned that we would be trialing other gyms as well, he flipped a switch!!! Started saying in front of her that "well actually she is not good enough to be on my team and In fact she is not good enough to be on my preteam". It completely broke my daughters spirit!!! How dare someone have this kind of childish behavior especially from a coach who is also the owner of the gym!!! Started out with a good experience here until my constant concerns for my daughter being bullied…read morewere ignored to the point my daughter finally stuck up for herself and hurt a girls feelings and in turn was the one then suspended for 2 weeks regardless of the fact i went to her COACH- JUDY multiple times prior to the suspending concerned for my daughter and how she was being treated by her teammates as well as and most importantly by her- her own coach who is supposed to encourage, to teach and to love!!! judy only showed a lack of respect and compassion for my daughters' well-being and self-esteem as a gymnast and young human being. My daughter started out with a great coach who was fun, cared for her, and encouraged her, but once the coaches changed,(good one fired) I saw a negative impact on my daughter and her self-esteem and love for the sport. The cherry on top of my constant concerns for my daughter and how she was treated by her coach and teammates was an incident during practice where her coach humiliated her in front of all the other girls after she asked her if she was tested for covid, the rest of the practice she was teased and the girls continued to assume she was just a liar and shouldn't be at practice after the coach was negligent and asked her a private question in front of the whole team where my young 7 yr old daughter felt she had to lie and say she was tested because she felt she would be wrong if she wasn't and would be asked to leave. Karen didn't address this with the coach and nothing was done here, her coach went on like this didn't happen and from what I'm hearing from other past gymnast parents is that they too have had bad experiences with this coach in the past, their fun gymnast loving child went from happy and loving of the sport to burnt out and unhappy due to the lack of nurturing and encouragement from a non family oriented coach. That all on top of the fact there were girls on the team calling my daughter fat and asking her why her legs were so big!!! - nothing came of any of that! After my daughter's 2 week suspension I had reached out to a second gym -eastern shore, about my concerns and my message was ignored and relayed to Karen the gym owner of baycity, yes, my private conversation with one gym owner was ignored and shared with a second gym owner whom I have/had 2 children enrolled with(baycity). Karen calls me and immediately unrolled BOTH of my children from her gym without any consent from me. This whole situation with both gyms was so very unprofessional, and it showed me that they do not care and have never cared about my children. I am still very upset and there is most definietly some unfinished business here and when she called me, In regards to the other gym owner who shared my private conversation with her i tried to touch on the situation again and why I reached out to another gym but I was only shut down. I was shut down by Karen, and her only response (very snotty) was, have a wonderful rest of your day, and we wish your daughter luck and the best. I'm appalled and completely heartbroken as a mother, my poor children one who has been in gymnastics since she was 3 and is now 8 is being punished and shunned from a sport she loves because two unprofessional gym owners! You know your daughter is hurt when she falls asleep in her bed, holding all her gymnastics medals she's ever won! I'm so hurt we left an amazing gym in AZ to come here with high hopes to be a part of another gym family with higher hopes for great coaches only to be very disappointed and hurt. I never thought this would happen to our family, but it has, and my poor daughter is the one punished.
