As a tenant in the Texas summer (current) in one of their rental homes, they have left my family (pregnant wife, 2 year old toddler, dog, me) with no functioning AC for now 10 of the last 14 days. When I call, the operator is extremely rude. We move out next Friday (thank god), but now are having to be forced to pack up our home in 89 degree heat as it stands right now in the home. It is clear this company doesn't care about a pregnant woman and their toddler, all they care about is ignoring messages and service inquiries and being rude when you call. These people should be ashamed they would allow a growing family and pregnant woman to have no AC in the Houston summer for this long, and it is still unresolved. -100 stars if possible, never do business here. read more

If you are considering doing business with this company, I encourage you to please look at all the negative reviews as they share major commonalities amongst complete strangers; lack of professionalism, poor communication, extremely rude, untrustworthy, and more. My first encounter with with the owner herself, Trish. As a brand new landlord, unsure and nervous about the process, I was really looking towards the professionals to guide me in this process. As I was connected with Trish, I had explained what I was looking for. Her response was, "YA", followed by a long pause. I continued speaking to fill the blank space. I rationalized this by telling myself, "she's probably had a bad day, we've all been there." Wrong. This was only a small preview of what was to come over the next year. Every time I had to call this business, the team made me feel like such a burden. It was constant unprofessionalism for the entire year that I was with them. I felt bullied by the very business I hired to help me! I had to inquire several times as to when we could get with the tenants to renew the lease and I was given a generic answer, "we will do that 45 days out". Fine. As my tenants were getting ready to move out, I kept asking this business to renew the listing on HAR. I was given the same answer, "we will do that 45 days out". I had to follow up several times to get this done as it was NOT done when they said it would be done. If I was managing my own process, what was the point of a management company? Once they finally posted my listing, they purposely chose the absolute worst possible photos. Yes, on purpose, as retaliation for me asking them to do their job. The photos consisted of blank walls, windows, and cluttered spaces. I'd like to add that I had previously staged professional photos taken but they CHOSE to not use those. Extremely distraught over the last year, I had to fire them. Of course, I was met with extreme hostility. Not one person ever asked what happened or why I wanted to leave. They let me know that I could figure out the rest on my own in terms of finishing up the process with my tenants. That same day I had connected with my tenants. I was shocked to hear their experience. They said that 60% of the reason they didn't want to renew was because they couldn't handle the abuse of this company any longer. They had a horrible experience and felt bullied the entire time too. I could hear in their voice that they were sad to leave the home as they had fallen in love with the home and the neighbors. They were extremely kind and we both apologized to one another for what the last year had been for us. Had these tenants been treated with any kindness or decency, they would have renewed their lease. I won't mention the rent amount, but the rent amount x 12 months is the amount of money that this company cost me. Do yourself a favor and move on. Choose a different company, literally anybody else. My husband and I moved into our first place together, and we unfortunately weren't aware of the absolute mess that First Class Realty was, and apparently still is. We moved out a month early due to the hall bathroom not having a working shower, the kitchen ceiling leaking into the light fixture and then pouring into the middle of our kitchen for days, the detached garage having to be repaired countless times for roof leaks and the garage collapsing on one side (yes really) during our one-year rental period, the backyard drainage system always being clogged which resulted in the downstairs of our town home to flood several times, once during the Memorial Day flooding. This is the biggest joke of a company and I cannot believe that they are still in business. They put my husband and I through actual hell for 11 months. I had to take off so many days of work for repair men to NOT show up and when they did? They didn't fix the leaks, they didn't fix the drainage system, and so on. They only put a band-aid on things. These people are vultures. Don't risk your belongings and overall health by renting through them. Property owners should be informed to avoid them as well. read more

Went to see a house they were leasing... IT WAS DISGUSTING! It smelled and was obviously dirty and full of trash, I decided to walk in to see the layout thinking they will be changing the carpets and cleaning. There was trash everywhere and poop! Imagine my horror when i walk out and my realtor says to check for fleas as he was swatting at his pants.. FLEAS!!!! They were EVERYWHERE! ALL over my pants and shoes, as well as my father in law who was also covered. It was the most disgusting thing not to mention I had to go back to work. I locked myself in the bathroom and took off all my clothes and made sure I didn't see any more but I was itchy all day. I have bites all over. I can't believe they let us walk in there! How can that even be allowed! I have kids and dogs if my own to worry about. read more

No other applications were in when I put mine in. That don't base it off whether you're qualified or not they choose! Horrible customer service. Every time there is a maintenance issue it is difficult to schedule a repair person. I'm a single parent and disabled veteran on a fixed income. The manager is unwilling to be flexible with my schedule. When I told management that I cannot afford to miss work to have the fan in my kids room fixed they responded "most people make time for that children". I have had a few repairs done by a 3rd party maintenance company that will bend over backwards to help me. I was told by management that there is an extra fee for weekend repairs but the repair guy told me that he doesn't charge extra for weekend work. read more

Unfortunately I hate to grade the entire company for one agent but as an employee or even self employed you represent something or someone. I contact First Class Realty via a property I saw for rent. Angela Starnes contact me via text message because when I call the number on the listing her voicemail was full. She informed me she was on appointments and that texting is faster for her to reply. I sent her my criteria. She gives me some information about the market and we go back and forth with more details. I informed her that I had not so perfect credit and my husband would be primary. She text me around midnight telling me she's getting my paperwork together and other details. Next day she tells me there is nothing available for me because my monthly rent is too low for the zip codes I chose and I had bad credit (she hadn't run my rental history or credit, just based on the information I gave to her). I told her that I wanted her to search within 1-3 miles of that particular zip code. Since I was able to find some properties I sent them to her thinking she would give me more details about them since she's a LICENSED REALTOR. Well to shorten this up she started telling me she won't be able to get me a house only apartments and that my husbands good credit wouldn't matter. I told her there are those that are willing to work with us so that wasn't a fact in all cases. She sends me a text back telling me good luck and don't contact her again and go bother someone else. I sent a text back saying "Wow! I like the go-get-attitude and that I would pass these text along to her employer. I told her to take care and she tells me to go F*$K myself. She continued to text me saying I'm harassing her. If you decide to use First Class Realty please avoid Angela Starnes. She's not a people person and doesn't work hard for prospective clients. This is the worst company to rent from. Unless you're going to be homeless, it would be best to avoid it all costs. They refused to do any work orders, the house was infested with mice and bugs (we had to pay for extermination), we were robbed three times, they denied our rent check several times, even when it was sent certified. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY WANTED ME TO SAVE THE CARPET AFTER HARVEY TO SHAMPOO AND REINSTALL!!! It had been sitting wet for 2+ weeks when I finally called them and put my foot down, it smelled so bad in the house from the carpet, not to mention the carpet was is sorry shape with a huge hole when I moved in. My friend and I removed it and dragged it out to the garage where it sat for quite a while. During that time I enjoyed the bare cement with nails till they agreed begrudgingly that the carpet was indeed ruined and would need to be replaced (this was just the master bedroom FYI). And that isn't even the start of it. They're sweet when you're signing the lease but will pinch pennies and do not care about their residents' safety. My house was 90*F when I moved in, it took over a month to resolve the issues, there were multiple issues with the plumbing since the house sat vacant so long, loose screws and a giant gaping hole in the master bedroom carpet (which looked filthy and when I requested they clean it JUST THAT ROOM before I moved in they replied the last tenant had it shampooed upon move out --uh when was that? 1989?), most of the blinds were on the floor instead of the windows or broken or missing (I was told they had been painting and would be reinstalled before my move in --HA! I'm a fool for believing that one, then someone tried to break in through the trash door on the garage and I had to fight them (with the help of their handyman, who was a rockstar) to get a lock placed on it and the trash door reinforced (I also made a police report and had provided them that information as evidence that there was indeed an attempted break in). The lady in charge (Trish) is pretty good about getting things handled once you get a chance to speak with her, I will give her that. But her little gargoyle Liz is beyond rude and difficult to get past. They fine for everything and threaten to fine you if you decline even one showing once your lease is ending. I'm a critical care nurse, & Liz texted/called threatening to fine me saying I was declining showings when the problem was that I was with patients and had missed the calls from their scheduling agency, who called me a total of 32 times in a 12hr span and left 18 voicemails and 22 texts. Liz said that she knew what I did for work and if I didn't reply within the window (2hour in most cases) I would indeed be fined. If she had just called her showing service she would've had the updated information (I had used my break earlier to call and ask the showing agency to please contact the realtors trying to show to resubmit their requests now or if I had missed the time they wanted to show to please request another further than 2 hours out so I could approve it IMAGINE THAT!) not that she seemed to care but whatever. I've never been so glad for a year to be over. read more

The first year I lived in the house I had no issues. I then had a leak in my ceiling due to there being a crack between the tile and tub after putting a plastic faucet protector on the faucet so my one year old would not hit his head on it. This caused the water to leak between the structural damage of the tub that had previously been there. I am now being charged 125 dollars for the plumber taking hair out of the drain that had been draining fine. I was not only ignored for weeks about the dispute of the charges but they refused to listen to what caused the problem since the plumbers one sentence report said what he charged for sealing the leak and cleaning the drain. When the drain wasn't even the issue it was draining fine. So because I was trying to provide a safe place for my child to bathe I am being charged. As soon as my lease is up I am moving. Does anyone have a suggestion on a better real-estate company to rent a house through. On top of all of that they agreed to put new carpet in before I moved and never did. I brushed that off as no big deal. * Update! after doing a little research the "plumbing" company they sent out was not licensed. They promptly dropped the charges when I brought that up, after weeks of them treating me horribly. read more

I rented a duplex in Conroe from First Class Realty. I'll say first that the person who answers the phone (Ruth I think is her name), is extremely nosey. When you call and ask for someone else besides her, she asks what it is regarding. She shouldn't ask that because I didn't ask to talk to her about private matters. Also the young lawn guy is very bad at cutting the grass and very disrespectful. He never came as much as he should of or cut the grass short enough. He also likes to move things in the yard that are not his and NOT put them back. Also Maricela, who is the supervisor, has very bad communication skills. I had an issue which we resolved, but she failed to let other employees know, so they would contact me about the same issues due to her lack of communication. read more

First Class Realty has put over $6k charges on my credit report after I put in my notice to leave due to them not fixing anything that I asked. They patched the issue up and I am now inquiring as to why I was never informed as to what these charges were for. I was not late with my rent and I was not in a lease. I moved in the time that I put in my move notice. So now I am getting a attorney to help me with this because this is not right for them to do this. I WOULD NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN AND THEY MAY BE UPSET BECAUSE I CONTACTED THE OWNER AND INFORMED HIM OF WHAT WAS GOING ON. He ended up selling the property after my family left. read more

She is fast, available anytime and incredibly efficient. I was inspired to leave this review after calling the office to get some numbers on my properties and their team member, Elizabeth, blew me away! After 2 rings, she picked up my phone call and knew exactly who I was. I told her the data I was looking for and she had already pulled up my file! What could have easily been a long phone call to collect data took less than TWO minutes!! Words cannot express how much I appreciate the fast response time, efficiency with getting things done and great team members, such as Trish, Lisa and Elizabeth. This company is a joke, and their application process is a rip-off in itself! They have it set up almost like some kind of "reality" TV show. They have you pay a $50 application to be thrown into a pool of "potential" tenants(who all have also paid the $50 app fee) for the owner of the house to choose from. The property had a repair and i wasn't notified for two weeks, after being notified of the repair price had exceeded 1600!!The manager had no experience. She was unable to locate anyone to handle repair start to finish. Ultimately, tenant decided to leave property early.And once again, I was not notified of his notice for two weeks. This company is a joke. I was leasing one of their properties for almost 5yrs. Never did i have a problem renewing a contract til this year. They always sent me notices about anything what a coincidence that this year they emailed my husband for renewal. My husband doesnt really open emails then they sent me the package to renew on paper as i emailed back and forth with Trish who is in charge she said it was ok to mail her the renewal as i sent it before the week ended by tuesday of the following week they were calling me that since i didnt renew when they emailed me the owner decided to sell and i basically had 30 days to move once the house was sold. They said they could help me find another house but i need to pay them $100 to submit and application i said but what if i dont like the house she said well u loose the $100. Isnt that dumb? I contact a friend of mine who was is a realtor and she said they do that because you dont have an agent representing you and they like to keep your money. I left the house in a good condition after living there for so long i still took care of it as if it was mine. Well i saw that they didnt end up selling the house they pulled it off the market. They used all my deposit money to remodel the house, so sad that they are money hungry, they basically kept all my money.The charges on there were ridiculous,all i can say is that i will never do business with them. This company is horrible when it comes to customer service. My husband and I rented a property which was not rented out in years. We put a lot of money into the property fixing it up. They never fixed any thing when we would contact them. After we fixed up the property to look nice they wanted us to move stating the owner wanted to sell. Which was a LIE. I have since went by the property and they rented it to someone else. They then turn around and say we owe them thousands for a property we fixed up. This company is a joke. Nothing first class about it. If you need things fixed like air, toilets ext. they get upset and don't want to fix it properly. I hate we choose this company.
