We were in the process of looking at existing homes and even considering building a custom home. We were already pre-approved with a local lender, but just weren't happy with the options he was recommending to us. I went out to lending tree and submitted a request for proposals. Initially, our phone/emails were flooded with messages from probably 15 different lenders. However, First Ohio's response to me was very different and seemed so genuine. Calling them was the best decision we made throughout this process. Kemp Taylor was our mortgage banker and we were so impressed with his knowledge and responsiveness right from the start. Kemp gave us a variety of options that our prior lender never bothered to explore. He was so knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process. He made us feel like we were his #1 priority, always responded to calls and emails promptly, and even worked on our loan after hours (and made himself available to us after hours). I'm sure the new regulations make this process even more painstaking, but we would have never known it. Kemp was so calm and made everything so simple.
