Rep had me sign the electronic display saying it was for my accepting loan. Never saw what I was signing. I actually told the rep I don't know what I am sign by not seeing terms and just signing the electronical pad. Red flags were there, and had if I had been younger I would have insisted on the hard copy I requested. Asked for hard copy. Rep stated it had to be emailed to me. Never got the email until Fairlease sent to me today. Long story short rep had me signing for a leased vehicle. Now having trouble resolving this since rep sent my daughter to Fairleasing in Allen Texas for a 5 year leased car instead of a loan. Met with CUTX customer service manager who said we could rectify this matter, and he would get back to me at a particular date and after noon, but did not, and now is not not returning my calls. I believe reps did this for the commission they received, and no one EVER gets a 5 year lease. My daughter and I were clearly used as an easy target. Have your lawyer check out any thing you sign at the DeSoto location. Been with CUTX 50 years, and never had a problem till we worked with this particular dishonest rep. Also Fairleasing which is a part of CUTX has all kinds of negative reports. Reports of over charging to unforeseen fee charges.

I've been a customer of BOA for almost 30 years. When I have had a problem with BOA in the past, it…read morehas always been with an individual employee, not the institution itself. This time, it is BOA's practices at fault. I deposited a check for over $7,300 this afternoon. When I looked at my receipt, it indicated the funds would not be available until next Tuesday. Today is Wednesday. I was so irate, I forgot to take my debit card out of the machine. I started to head home, but was still so incensed I pulled over to call. Reaching a live person was frustrating. The bank's automatic system proved to be a hurdle. When it claimed to have sent a verification link, nothing appeared in my texts or email. By dint of sheer perseverance, I finally reached Jenyce in Alabama. We first addressed the captured debit card. Jenyce was professional, goal-oriented and very nice, which helped my blood pressure. She said it would take four to six business days to get a new card or I could opt for expedited service for $15. I have received new cards in two to three days before without expedited service, but did not quibble. I accepted the fee. Then we addressed the "hold" period. In almost 30 years, I have never had a deposit bounce, I have deposited larger amounts with a lesser hold time. I had no problem with a one-day hold, but five days! Jenyce insisted this was bank policy for amounts over $5,500. I said this was hogwash. The check was not drawn on Popeye's Gun and Drug Emporium; it was from Fidelity. And we both know good and well, in these days of the Internet, BOA will have their funds by tomorrow. I repeatedly told Jenyce my problem was not with her. I believe BOA got their hand slapped for unacceptable fees and turned right around to see where they could make up that loss. Expedited fees and time use of consumers' money seem to be the new issue. I told her if I did not get those dollars in a timely manner, I would contact the FDIC, which is exactly what I plan to do. In addition, I will take my business elsewhere and repeat this story on NextDoor and Facebook and wherever else it occurs to me. Banker's greed is a trope, but to do this to a long-time customer is unacceptable.
