In general, I would recommend Bank of America as an OK place to work or bank. B of A is quite possibly the most convenient bank in the US. They just keep on growing and growing and taking over other banks. They are kind of like the Cookie Monster of banks. While I am not at all an economist, and cannot speak of whether or not this is a good thing for me as a Customer in the macro sense, I like the growth as it relates to me being able to find a B of A ATM almost anywhere in the US (except New Orleans). You see, I really like using B of A ATMs because otherwise I get charged outrageous fees. It sure is a good thing they have them almost everywhere, including many airports. I was even able to use an affiliate ATM in Paris free of charge. Check their website before you go on a trip; you just might save yourself some outrageous fees. I also highly recommend their online banking, which is the best I've seen. You can use online bill pay to pay any bill (even use it as a way to mail checks to friends/family), or transfer funds directly to a B of A loved one. This is extremely convenient, especially if your friends belong to B of A and you lose to them at a late-night poker game. Um, not that I ever lose. Or gamble. However, they are a BANK and they like their money. The fees are outrageously punitive. B of A is a great bank if you will never overdraw your account, forget a credit card payment, or use someone else's ATM. Customer service is usually fairly good (sometimes scarily so on their help line), but as with any giganto-corporation, there are sometimes exceptions. My only advice is, if you are charged some outrageous overdraft fees, and it's a first (or almost first-) time offense, respectfully run it up the flagpole as high as you can and you'll probably get your fees reversed. They are a bank, but they also have interest in keeping good customers (even those who make mistakes). Bank of America = convenience with a price; did I mention the fees were outrageous?

Instead of going to help me at the counter he says "one moment sir" and proceeds to do something else in another business office for several minutes. He comes out and stops at another office and translates for another several minutes. I have no issue with him providing assistance but I was repeatedly not helped twice and had to wait over 10 minutes to do my transaction as the only person in line. Unacceptable! He eventually needed the bank manager to assist on the transaction for approval and he as well was not very professional and asked me personal questions about myself that was none of his business.

He told me if I could be there at 11:45 am he would be able to get me in. I show up at 11:48 am due to never been there and having to find parking. I sit and watch him talk to someone until 10:56 am and then walks over to me with a silly smerk and says yea I'll have to reschedule you because you came at 10:48 and not 10:45. Where in the world is the world class customer service? I was trying to bring them more business by opening a new account yet this gentleman couldn't make the time to get me setup with only being 3 minutes late. I'll never do business with this branch due to this poor experience. Very rude, condescending and politely unprofessional. Wish I could give him 0 stars!!!

I have gone in several times for deposits that were so easy, cashiers check purchase... easy and then when WF shut down my ATM card thinking I tried to make a fraud purchase they fixed that too. The poor lady was as befuddled as I was how they managed to change my area codes twice on my phone number and couldn't reach me! Now I won't talk about what I think of WF in general... but the service at this place is top rate.

Senior Abuse - A Former Long-Term Member…read more I was a long-time member of Resource One Credit Union, maintaining multiple accounts and an auto loan. Despite years of loyalty, I received no written notice of default, no Right to Cure, and no communication outlining my options before my vehicle was stolen. There was no outreach, guidance, or attempt to resolve the matter, only sudden action. Unauthorized funds were withdrawn from my accounts, causing overdrafts and significant financial hardship. Additionally, my vehicle was repossessed from within my gated private property, and all surveillance cameras, both at the community gates and at my residence, were taken offline during the incident. This left both my home and the surrounding community vulnerable and without the ability to monitor the situation. Police further indicated that they have encountered cases in which burglars use illegal Wi-Fi jammers to disable or interfere with surveillance cameras, raising additional concerns about how this incident occurred. As a senior member, this experience was dismissive, unethical, and deeply distressing. I now understand why this institution has a 1.6-Star rating. Had I known this beforehand, I would have never considered doing business with them. Supporting documentation, including account records, system logs, timestamps, and a police report, has been preserved. These issues indicate potential noncompliance with notice requirements, account authorization controls, and lawful repossession standards. BE AWARE OF WHO YOU TRUST WITH YOUR BAKING NEEDS!
