The teller…read more Andrea called me up to help me and ask how much did I want to withdraw , I stated $$, she looked at me , dropped her head , wrote the amount on a sticky note looked over at the Manager , showed him the amount Downny R. Gonzales (Branch Manager) and they both looked at me ,with disbelief in their eye contact towards me , he walked over and said they could not help me. Then Downny suggested that I go to another Wells Fargo bank or a bigger branch I ask why, he said he could not explain to me why. Now I am standing in my bank for 24 years or more where I have paid my mortgage to , car notes to, direct income deposits and I was told I could not withdraw my own money out of my own account. I was so hurt, and embarrassed amongst the other customers, as if I was doing something wrong as I was the only African American customer amongst the white customers inside the Mesquite Branch at the moment when I was denied services out loud. I had a contractor waiting for his payment, I had to go back to work. I did not argue or cause a scene. Mr. Downny said I could not be help and I said and felt like it was because I was African American and walked out the Bank with a feeling of hurt , disrespect , and discriminated against as I bursts into tears , because this was not right and I never have felt this since of discrimination before and belittled in a lobby full of white people who all started looking at me as if I was an criminal because that's how Andrea and the Branch Manager Downny was treating me. I went to my car and cried, I was calling the customer service # to complain and went back in to get their names. Now after I asked for their information, Mr. Downny can suddenly help me. I withdrew $$ I was asked several security questions, repeatedly. I was asked where I work. I was asked why wouldnt want I get a cashier's check. It was like a interview. I have been going to Wells Fargo Branch on ??? for years and the past couple of weeks making $$money withdrawals and it always be smooth in and out. But what I experienced today from two Hispanics that prejudged me and refused to properly help me the first time, is unacceptable. All I wanted was to get my money , pay my contractor and go to work, instead my time was wasted , I was disrespected , humiliated , embarrassed and now experience this horrible discrimination that my culture has fought and died for , to change is, still going on in 2026 treatment from Wells Fargo MAC t9206-010 1300 N Town East Blvd Mesquite Tx 75150. I do not want anyone else to experience this, because my whole day has been ruined as well as my trust in Wells Fargo Mesquite Branch for people of my color equal customer service. I would like action to be taking and Andrea trained better not to discriminate do to her judgement of what race of people can withdraw large amounts of money without being rejected or interrogated , and discriminated against .

We have never lost a dime. ANB Rockwall loaned me money when I didn't think anybody would. They make everything so easy. Finally, the personnel at ANB Rockwall are all friendly and professional. My account detected fraud so naturally my debit card was closed and a new one is to be mailed in 5-7 business days. The branch doesn't offer temporary physical cards, you just have to wait. A digital version is available for your phone wallet, which is a great concept except it doesn't let you use it at an atm to withdraw cash to use in the meantime! it flags as fraud. After waiting on hold forever & speaking to the fraud department, confirming that it is me attempting the withdrawal they said nope it shows fraud alert you have to use an actual plastic card for withdrawal. WHICH I DON'T HAVE. I was told to use a credit card or something, there's nothing they can do. Even though they're the fraud department blocking the transaction. It's a holiday weekend so now I have no way to withdraw my money at all until technically Tuesday when a branch is open, but I work Tuesday & Wednesday so I am SOL until THURSDAY! Now to research what bank to switch to the second I get a chance! Extremely unsatisfied.

We thought this was odd, especially since a Chase in the same city had no issue notarizing the papers.
