I…read morewanted to provide my son quality time, because I was so, so busy with his younger brothers, premature twins. Not only did Vernetta fulfill this need, etc. for him (his time), but she also included my twins. When the twins got old enough to climb out of their play pen, Vernetta was not only very understanding about it, but she and the other moms were very helpful. There were times when the kids in the dance/gymnastic class would sit in a circle. Yes, this was the time my other two sons would join in and sit with the group and they would be excited when their brother would win "dance bucks" to redeem for prizes. Ms. Vernetta was so positive, patient, empowering, etc. I can't say enough about her. Yes, indeed, she influenced their lives a great deal. Mike Jr helps out the Chicago community and also teaches (at the catholic university) and our twin sons, David and Robert, also do comparable work /help with the community and work in Washington D.C. Although our sons live so far away from us, we are grateful they had a nice, positive beginning and were around such positive people, like this dance teacher/mom group. Thank you so much, Venetta. You have touched our lives and continue to do the same for others.

The studio graciously allows children to borrow everything needed to participate (ballet shoes, tap shoes, leotards all in various sizes). Young children receive "ballet bucks" for class participation and doing/bringing back "homework" (a coloring page). She has older students help teach the younger classes. This allows for a much larger teacher/student ratio needed for the "littles" to have a successful class. This strategy also provides older students with leadership skills and practice with asserting themselves and directing others! I am thrilled to have found this sweet little neighborhood studio. PS the music is darling!

This play has mature subject matter and is all about mercy And redemption, which are your themes, but my grandson loved it. The sets were amazing and the voices were all incredible. Most of the leads were 18 year-old actors in many of them were going on to study drama in college. Junior theater is a quality program and I've been going since I was a young girl. If you've never been before, you need to check it out. Tickets are so reasonable for a first rate play that you can't go wrong. I think I paid $22 for my senior ticket. They always have a 15 minute intermission where you could go outside and stretch your legs and purchase candy and snacks for three dollars as well as drink drinks. I appreciate a family friendly, cultural event to go to that doesn't cost an arm and a leg like a ball game or a concert now. Thank you, San Diego Junior theater for being an excellent value and excellent quality. I hope you are around for another century. It doesn't matter whether you're just starting to learn the art, or getting back into it after years, Nico is there to support your growth. Would absolutely recommend taking a class from Nico and the Break-5-8 organization, they know exactly what they're doing, and you're for sure going to receive value!

It was our first time taking dance lessons together, and she made the whole experience so much fun. We got to learn some of the basics while also working on a fun choreographed dance. Liza also joined us at our wedding reception to lead line dancing, which was such a fun addition to the night! She led our guests in dances to songs like "No Rompas Más Mi Pobre Corazón," along with some Bollywood classics. It was a huge hit and such a great icebreaker for getting everyone out on the dance floor. We're so glad we worked with Liza and would absolutely recommend her!

We were stressed because we only had a few weeks left before our wedding, but they were able to make it work. Liza and mark are amazing choreographers that taught us our full 2 minute dance in 4 sessions. They listened to our song the first day we went in and were able to choreograph 45 seconds on our first lesson off the top of their heads. It's nice having both Liza and Mark there to show us how to do the coupley moves and bounce ideas off each other. They were great at breaking down the dance into easy to digest steps. We are so happy with how our dance turned out. I like that they come up with the entire dance for you but that they are also very open to your ideas too, for example we saw some cute moves on tiktok that they were able to incorporate into our dance. Highly recommend.
