As a first time homebuyer I was new to the process and looked forward to all that came along with it. I heard many a times that it can be a stressful process but I was not prepared for this at all. I was given an approval letter that contained a rate. Moved forward with my home buying process. I was told that if I needed anything I should contact him but when it came time to contact Marcus he was unavailable and constantly reminded me that his mortgage calculator is available on his website. That's one way to make someone feel like a number. Then my rate changed again and my realtor and I celebrated my new low rate. I continued my home search hoping things would get better but nope. Marcus informed me that on weekends when most people are out shopping for homes that he will not be available to price quotes or anything of the such. My calls and emails went unanswered, but thank goodness for my realtor who was able to help me along the way. Then my rate and downpayment changed yet again because Marcus and I quote "was unable to get me into a program". Now having worked in customer service for a very long time I have learned to never provide information unless you can guarantee it. So now my rate has gone up and so has my down payment, Do you think Marcus called me to tell me this information, NOPE! On one of my many calls to him he just threw it out there as if it was some small thing. Do you think I was given an apology? NOPE! A higher rate means higher monthly payment, higher downpayment means more money from my pocket. But hey no sweat on his back because he will still be paid at the end of the day. I was even told to "find a new lender if I was not happy" instead of apologizing. Now three days before my closing I was told I'd have a certain downpayment, two days before closing I was given the same number. The day before the wire is sent I receive an email with a number that's $5,000 more than what's discussed. I'm upset so my realtor being the Godsend she is contacted Marcus and he told her the number was wrong and it would be no more than a certain number again. YET ANOTHER LIE! I should have went with another lender but I didn't feel like starting again and possibly loosing the house I loved so much or getting the same results with anyone else. I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life. During a time when I should have been celebrating this is what I dealt with. If you want to feel like a number then this is the company for you! If you want to be given the run around and lied to pls by all means give it a go! But if you prefer to be spoken to and treated like a human being then this is not the company for you. Also, I don't want to seem like it's all bad, after all the hell I was put through Marcus managed to get me a $1000 credit which only made me have to bring $4000 more to the table then expected and a higher rate that came along with it! This caused me to have to move in later then expected because those funds were allocated to my moving fund. As a single mother I do this on my own, so unexpected funds don't come easy. But hey, so sweat off your back right. Do your research because everyone is not treated equally with this company. Unfortunately as a single black woman my experience with terrible. I was spoken to as if I was less than by two people at this company and I hope nobody else has to go through this.

Update on the service that I received at the Glenarden branch of Navy Federal Credit Union. I…read morereceived a call from the Branch Manager Michelle who wanted to reach out to me because I had sent a online complaint. The Manager wanted to know what happened with the member representative Aerial at the branch. I had explained that the member representative stated that she couldn't accept my $10 in coins for deposit and stated that they had to be wrapped. I pointed out that the $10 in coin consisted of $8 in quarters, $1.10 in nickels and .90 in dimes all of which could not be wrapped. The Manager stated that the member service representative said that I didn't want to give the employee the coin and had a change of heart. "This make no sense because I wouldn't drive out of my way to make a deposit and then have a change of heart and then make a complaint". Needless to say the Aerial lied to cover up her incompetence! . The Manager assured me that Navy Federal Credit Union does take coin that can not be wrapped and that the employee has been advised that she was in error for communicating the wrong information. I just wanted to Thank the Manager Michelle for addressing my concerns so quickly!!! .

I contacted Mortgage Experts after being pre-approved for a home loan with Rocket Mortgage and…read moreafter getting under contract on our dream home we were told that they could not move forward due to something that didn't make sense. I decided to try several other lenders because I knew that we should still be able to be approved and the thing that was stopping Rocket Mortgage would not stop another lender. Marcus was very understanding of the urgency to get approved and on to closing as soon as possible as our closing date was less than a month away at that time. I got everything to him right away and he was able to get us pre-approved with another lender. Throughout the process, however, the communication definitely left alot to be desired. In some ways the communication was great (website to check status, weekly email updates to all involved parties, direct phone number to Marcus), but in other ways it was not great as these things only work as well as they are setup or he's available so I would have difficulty getting in touch as the contracted closing date was approaching. The sellers gave us an extension and as that date approached I had difficulty reaching Marcus or was told that we'd get approval or an update over and over and over and over and we still never received it. It felt like we were being given the run-around or generic answers even though things were obviously delayed and not the way he was updating us that it would be. The lender that he chose for us just so happen to be taking longer than they had before, apparently, and his answers were not expressing this, maybe because he didn't realize it until we were delayed more than he expected. All in all, eventually we received the approval and closed on our dream house. The anxiety was already at an all time high because of the unique situation we were in and fear that the sellers were about to move on if we were delayed any more. The lack of communication and and lack of being honest about what was really going on would normally make me never use a company again, but I could tell that Marcus and his partners meant well, and his personality was bright and optimistic despite, which is why I'm rating them 3 stars instead of 2. With a different communication approach they would have easily been a 4 or 5 star rating. But with this being the biggest purchase we've ever done and stress level on ridiculous I really did need that better communication. I may try them again to refinance since they were aware of these issues and may have made improvements since then. If so I'll review again. -Lovergirl654

PNC also has several banks within Wawas they help ATMs much easier and I was talking to someone getting money out as well but He had used his Independence Card which was interesting and different! . So if you have that card you can use it at any PNC ATM that's inside a Wawa. The Value is community and customers they are fair and honest in that and make sure you return as if it's a store!

I had an issue with a PNC cashiers check from out of state not being signed by the teller that…read moreissued it. The manager at this location refused to help me and said I would just have to mail it back to the person that sent it to me. It had already taken me a week to receive it via priority mail and cost $10. It would cost another $20 to send it back and receive it again after my 90 year old mother that does not drive took it back to the bank. I explained all of this and he shoved the check back at me and refused to help. He was African. I left there and went to Bowie PNC, explained everything to their African AMERICAN manager and he immediately called the issuing bank, confirmed the check and signed it for me. SIMPLE AD DONE. The manager at the first branch had no compassion and was just too lazy to help. Thank god that the Bowie manager was willing to go the extra mile and was very nice about it.
