I'm upset at Dean for not following through with my bankruptcy. I reached out to him a year and a half before the date I wanted my bankruptcy to be filed and he kept giving me pushback. He knew how important it was for me for the bankruptcy to be filed before October 2022 & I even had paid in full. I kept reaching out and he kept giving me pushback. According to him, he wanted to delay it since I have student loans and wanted to see how it will work with the loan forgiveness. Honestly, I wanted to file for bankruptcy and deal with my student loan separately. I started to research other law firms but I have trust issues believing in lawyers. I'm upset that I trusted him and believed he will do his job. Now it stresses me more since now it's complicated to file for bankruptcy for personal reasons. I reached out to his former partner and he was upset and told me Dean makes promises and doesn't follow through. Dean finally answered my phone calls around May/ June of 2023 and told me he was going to help me. I gave him chances to work with him but till this day he hasn't answered my calls or texts. He reimbursed my money and promised he will file for bankruptcy 0$ cost. The reason I remained with Dean was because he was referred by a family member. Today I received a letter and texted and called him and he didn't respond. My experience with Dean in filling for bankruptcy has been stressful and has affected me in my personal life. I waited and waited and told him I will appreciate it if he can let me know he can't work with me but he hasn't respond. These people tell you something and then change it up, We are currently working with another attorney to have our case transferred. I'll get right to the point about 4 years ago I had an accident happened at Nordstrom's where a weighted purse stand fell off the top shelf and hit me in the face causing a concussion and facial nerve damage. Dean Hakkak and his team went above and beyond to get me the money I deserved. I was so happy that I got referred over to him from another lawyer that was in over his head. Ok, I can't speak for other people. But this law firm is a fckn joke. I had a case with them during the covid pandemic. At first the lawyer(Marista) was very nice and helpful, and the communication was constants. I came to FLG with a case I had where I had torn my left rotary cuff in my left shoulder. After providing some information as requested. Months had passed with no word from FLG. I then had to chase them down, with emails and phone calls, only to be told Marista was busy or out of the office. So I once abrasively contacting them. I was informed they were missing information, which I provided only to never hear from them again. My question was if you did not want to take my case, then they should have the decency to advise me, instead of acting like some little bitches and not contacting me. I would never refer this law group to anybody. I'm like all they had to do was contact me. So, here I am writing this shitty review about them.
