This is the first Yelp review that I have ever left for anyone for any thing. I've had experiences, both good and bad where I could have taken the time to open Yelp and say a few things... but never did. First Service changed that for me. For what these guys did they deserve a good few words. In the past, whenever I had the change to leave a review, I didn't because I didn't think my words would change anything for anyone anyone. Today I feel differently... if I can do something to bring one more customer to First Service by telling my story, I'll do it. IN EVERY WAY, THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING... from start to finish. If you're looking for efficient, timely... workmanship to brag about... call First Service... if you're looking for someone with the experience to help you plan out your project... call First Service... if you're looking for someone who'll do excellent work and not take shortcuts simply because they need to get in and get out... call First Service. I could go on all night but a few more words isn't going to help you make the decision to choose Frist Service for you're plumbing needs. But I'll say this... the first thing I did when I came to the Yelp page was take a few minutes to see what others had said. I WAS AMAZED TO SEE THAT THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO COULDN'T GIVE THESE GUY FIVE STARS... First Service doesn't need the other four... trust me, in my book. there's only one choice for these guys... the one they deserve... the whole enchilada... the pie in the sky... FIVE STARS!!! I own a duplex (rental) in Crescent City and needed plumbing repairs in each unit. One unit had a faulty kitchen sink faucet and the other unit had a leak from the water connect to the bathroom toilet and also there was no hot water from any hot water spigot. The invoice on each unit was over $600 but did not list the materials used or the hourly charge. I paid the two invoices. I do not live in Crescent City and was not at the duplex when the work was done, so I requested new invoices showing cost of materials as well as hourly labor charges. I requested the new invoices twice via email and my requests were ignored. I then called First Service and spoke with a pleasant man who told me he would check with the owner and the person who did the work and return my call. He called back shortly and said the prices were determined at the main office and said I could call the owner if I wanted. I suggested to the man that it might be a nice gesture if the owner called me. I wasn't looking for an argument but was simply asking for more detailed information. I had already paid the bills and yet First Service apparently believes I am not entitled to that information. It is my opinion that First Service needs to upgrade their customer service. I will not be using this company in the future and would advice anyone else to think twice before calling them. read more

Professional plumbing service that was easy to schedule My phone call was answered immediately, and I was able to schedule an on-site inspection and receive a quote within 48-hours. I was in need of a quote for re-plumbing my two-basin sink with attached garbage disposal and automatic dishwasher. The plumber, Willie Blakley, arrived promptly at the scheduled time and was dressed very professionally with his name visible on his vest. He inspected under the sink and was able to give me a quote within minutes. I made the decision to have him do the work right then, and he was able to take out all the old, rigged parts from various decades (We bought an older home) and not only replace them but reconfigure all of the hoses, pipes, joiners, gaskets, and valves to make the under-sink area much more user-friendly going forward-- including adding those easy, twist-off pipe sections in case I have any clogs or other issues I need to deal with going forward. He even re-set the garbage disposal so that it was facing the right way. Willie knocked all of this out in under 90 minutes, leaving no mess behind. I can't recommend First Service Plumbing & Heating enough! I will be using them again as I move on to projects in the bathroom and the yard in the coming months. You get what you pay for and in this case, that was an incredible bargain at a great value! read more

The family run business shows thru their experience and knowledge and friendly service thanks to them not once not twice but three times they have been to my house to fix my water needs that very day and within the hour of calling . I'd rate Pat 10 stars if I could. He was the first guy that either cared enough, or was qualified enough, or both, to actually diagnose my intermittant heating problem properly. Others either couldn't figure it out and just said I needed a new heat pump, or even worse, they just started changing parts and sending me the bill without fixing anything. That is the mark of true unprofessionals. On the other hand, Pat exibited the mark of a true professional by listening to the complaint and sticking to it until the proper diagnosis was made. I've used First Service 3 times and each time they did great work. The last time was in November 2022 at my sister's home. They came out and replaced the leaking mainline attachments to the home where someone in the past had done a "hokey pokey" job. Unfortunately, the parts that they used were defective. They came out three days later to replace the defective parts under their professional warranty. No leaks now! read more
