Today was my final draw for spectrum mobile, I can not even report a power outage from my home on their network. I will be traveling around tomorrow too, so I'll get to see how good the T-Mobile service really is, but they did share I'm SOL when In Klamath. They also shared that they are working with Elon Musk to get coverage via satellite, so that's cool. Great team down at our local T-Mobile and we got free phone, free service until the we end our service. they took our iPhone 12 Pro Max as trade in at $250 each. In the end we walked out with three phones, bunch of promotional items (free Netflix and Apple TV and discounted and short term offers of AAA and Sirius XMRadio and I think couple more). We are locked in at $130 a month for three lines unlimited and so I'm saving $50 with an extra phone on my plan. It's crazy. Jay is the boss and got us hooked up, but we also got to meet our sons friend from High School Diego. Great overall experience with many perks.

My experience with them over the last two months has been nothing short of a nightmare that has actively cost my business time, money, and clients. It started in mid-February at the Crescent City, CA store. I spent 9 agonizing hours over two days trying to open a business account, which they incompetently set up as a personal account. I handed physical copies of my previous carrier's bills directly to the Assistant Manager for their "Keep and Switch" promotion, with the promise that they would handle the submission and pay off my $765 balance. When they finally tried to fix my account type weeks later, T-Mobile completely botched the network routing. For a critical period, I received ZERO inbound calls. All of my business text messages and security codes were routed to my partner's phone instead of mine. Their "solution" to fix their own massive technical failure? The Store Manager told me I had to pay $667 out of pocket for a device upgrade. Unbelievable. To make matters worse, I was locked out of my account, and a rep promised to call me every day to fix it--he never called back once. Now, over two months later, T-Mobile is still holding my $765 "Keep and Switch" payout hostage. Executive customer service continues to claim they "can't see" the documents I physically handed to their store manager, and the online portal says my number was never submitted. They will promise you the moon to get you to switch, destroy your business operations with their technical incompetence, and then ghost you when it's time to pay the promotions they promised. Utterly predatory and exhausting. Do not trust them with your business.

However my experiences for the past year with Optimum have been quite good. They are polite and professional; also very prompt in solving any problems that come up. The price isn't bad either Almost 135 stations pus Internet with a really good fast connection for under 100.00. Yes I know we can all stream. I see your point with that but I happen to like the stations given that are very entertaining and educational. No I am not affiliated with Optimum in any way as sales or employee. I am disabled, and was told I had to go down to the office to clear it up. I get to the office, the girl at the counter has attitude before she even offered any help. I explained my situation, she gets defensive and tells me that she didn't do it to me. Customer service did. I proceeded to tell her, that it is her job to fix it. She said she's trying her best but she isn't the one that made the mistake. I asked her why she's getting defensive and rude? She was writing something on a piece of paper, she proceeded to rip up the piece of paper, and throw it at me. I am obviously upset, I asked to speak to the manager, and the guy at the counter tells me his manager as at lunch and told me to leave. I was absolutely shocked and flabbergasted at how quickly everything escalated. The thing that really gets me, is that I didn't even need to go down to the office. I was told that customer service wasted my time and gave me the wrong information, when I was asking well why would they do that? That is when the girl started getting defensive and had a meltdown at the counter. The manager came out, like 2 seconds after the guy said that he wasn't in the office. He lied and said that he was at lunch when he was actually sitting there listening to the whole thing! The manager came out with an attitude, and told me that the girl at the counter was giving me the wrong information!! So pretty much if I would have questioned her, I would have been sent out of the office with a bigger headache. It is blatantly obvious that people at this establishment hate their job. It has been reported to the optimum office for review. Shame on optimum for treating their customers like this! If you don't like your job, then find another one and stop taking out your misery on your customers!

But when…read morewill businesses learn that they lose customers- AND money- if they employ people who are just nasty & hateful right from the get go? Like I KNOW, masked up dude wearing a mask in an empty store (?), that NOBODY likes their job, especially in this economy. I get it. But that doesn't mean you need to take your hate out on a customer who simply walks through the door and says in a friendly manner "Hey, how's it going?" (A friendly customer who has always, always, without fail, generously tipped previous employees of this establishment who were, ya know, basically nice & decent?) SO... if you like being glared at with the most hateful expression ever for 10 seconds before being spoken to like you've just killed their grandma with a lifeless, affectless, "How can I help you?" THIS is your place! For all the masochists out there... So, I tried again... "Hi!!!!" and again was hatefully glared at, followed by "How can I help you?" with the MOST disdainful, ugly tone of voice. As me simply opening the door and walking in was the bane of this person's existence. Yeah, bro, that's a no go. At that point I might or might not have said something rather cheeky and rude in my shocked and appalled state. In hindsight, I wish I would've said something along the lines of "You could 'help' me by treating me as a human being, please." But maybe, I should think positively, and give this biz the benefit of the doubt and some props? Maybe they're employing people on the autism spectrum who can't help they don't follow polite societal norms? If that's the case, then the owner really ought to give workshops on how to interact with the general public for these employees. As for me? I also slave at a job I'm not too fond of, but I would NEVER in a million years dream of taking out my disdain on an innocent customer. So I happily drove to another iPhone store in Eureka where I plopped down $150 for what I needed as there was NO WAY in hell I was going to give this business money after being so atrociously treated. No way.
