HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! It's so hard to trust a daycare these days but after meeting with Patricia and Carla for the first time, my husband and I had a great feeling about them. My daughter warmed up so easily. I can't say enough great things about Patricia and Carla. They are genuinely caring, trustworthy women and provide such a loving and educational environment for our daughter. Our daughter is always so happy at drop-off that she doesn't even turn around for a second look! We love getting the picture updates and projects they complete at daycare. Horrible Experience She took advance payment and was very disrespectful when I arrived 5 minutes early as I have to drive to my work and said you cant leave kid 5 minutes early. I always had kids in daycare or preschool where they are kind enough to accommodate few minutes early drop of if needed ( off course for work) as no one will drop kids early for fun. She stated oh then everyone will come early. I was surprised by her response as she should understand the primary reason why I am leaving kid here and should be accommodative of my schedule or at least not disrespectful. I didnt take my kid there after that and she never bothered to ask or give money back for few weeks taken in advance. I don not recommend this place. read more

Words cannot express how happy I am with First Step Daycare! My child has been going there for a few months now and it has been the best decision I have made. First step day care has been phenomenal for our almost 3 year old. Our child started here when she had just turned one and has spent almost 2 years here. Patricia and Carla are the kindest care givers you will ever find . We felt so reassured when we first met them to learn about the daycare. They were so patient and worked with us through various phases of stranger anxiety that our toddler experienced . They maintain the daycare spic and span and are always sanitizing. They follow a great schedule every day and make sure to engage the toddlers in learning activities. They also provide all home cooked meals and snacks and will work with you on food restrictions if any. Honestly the only downside of this daycare is the day your child ages out! Putting our son in another school reminds me how fortunate we have been with Pati and Karla. You know your child is loved and care for with them. Also they run a very structured and a rich learning environment. My son always wanted to go to school and talked about all of his friends when he wasn't there. We all miss them so much. If you're fortunate enough to get a spot here take it!! The added culture and multiple languages and diversity of kids are also amazing. Even now as my son is attending a new school, he still cries for Pati and Karla daily. I have nothing but good things to say about this daycare. As a first time mamma, it was extremely hard for me to leave my daughter and get back to work. But to my good luck I met these lovely ladies at First step daycare.My daughter loved it! Patricia and Carla genuinely love the kids and take care of them like their own. I brought my son to First Step 4 years ago, still thankful to this day that I found this place. Patricia runs an amazing day care. After touring many other places, First Step is the cleanest and most organized. Nothing looked old or worn down, everything is well maintained. Patricia also provides learning curriculum, music, art, outside play, letters and numbers recognition. Meals are healthy and home cooked. The most amazing things about First Step is the genuine love and care they show for each child. Patrica not only watched my son, but also cared about his well being. Her and her staff show equal concern and love for every kid. They help them through milestones and become involved in the child's development and growing stages. They are great at catching signs of any concerns and not afraid to communicate with the parents. They understand the importance of the child's well being and leave no room for second guessing. As a new Mom, Patricia really helped me a lot through some learning stages myself. Patricia and Carla are so experienced they quickly became my support team when it came to parenthood. We love Patricia and Carla. They were the most loving and best environment for our little girl. Coming from another in home daycare that was very "business" like, it was refreshing to drop off our daughter at First Step Daycare and get hugs and kisses everyday. These ladies genuinely love the kids they take care of. My daughter started around 1 year and stayed for the entire school year. They provide a structured, hands-on approach to their day. They home cook all meals and they communicate EVERY DAY with you. Each day after I would pick up my daughter, I would get an email stating how much she ate, how long her nap was, her general mood, and occasionally some pictures of her day. I would highly recommend this inhome daycare to any parent! If we didn't move out of state, we would still be at First Step Daycare. Another plus..my daughter learned a few Portuguese words!
