Headline: Fence itself looks fine, but zero communication, lazy crew, and terrible management…read more To be fair, the fence itself was placed in fine once finished. However, the experience working with A Great Fence was a total nightmare. An installer broke a water pipe spigot on my property, said nothing, and left high-pressure water spraying across my patio for at least 20 minutes until I found it myself. When I confronted him, he told me it wouldn't be fixed until the next day. Because I couldn't be without water overnight, I immediately called and paid for my own plumber to fix it. It was only after I had already taken care of it that the company finally reached out--an hour after the incident--to say they could send someone that day. Had they communicated properly from the start, that expense wouldn't have fallen on me. The same worker returned the next morning, sat asleep in his truck outside my house for over 3.5 hours, and then drove off. While a secondary employee eventually finished the job, the company clearly knew they had messed up--they even mailed me $50 in gift cards as an apology gesture for the initial trouble. Despite that, the owner's final response was terrible. After promising to call me after his vacation to discuss the $340 plumbing expense, he instead sent a letter threatening legal action over the remaining balance. I paid the $340 in full just to end the headache and protect my peace of mind, but I will never use them again. A company that fails to communicate, sends workers who sleep on the job, and threatens legal action instead of picking up the phone does not deserve your business.
