Brain didn't get completely poked during COVID test. Five stars…read more In all seriousness, though, I have been very happy with my recent care at this Norton urgent care center. I had to go on Friday after my persistent cough and asthma hadn't improved, following a visit and lots of meds from my primary care doc. I couldn't get back into that office until next week for a follow-up, so to urgent care I went. First, I like that you're able to save your spot in line by booking over the Norton site. There was a two-hour wait when I wanted to go, but I was able to wait it out in the comfort of my home. And after I arrived at my designated time, I only had to wait 10 minutes or so before I was seen. All of the nurses were great. See my first sentence about the gentle COVID test. And the doctor or nurse practitioner who I saw also took the time to talk to me and gave me great care. I'll admit -- I always have somewhat low expectations of urgent care because in the past at other clinics I've been hastily cared for and sent on my way. But at this visit, I ended up getting a steroid shot and more intense breathing treatment to help me breathe better, a chest X-ray (clear, thankfully!) and a referral for the pulmonologist. It took me about two hours to receive my care, but that was because the staff was so thorough. While I hope I don't have to go to urgent care again, if I do, I won't hesitate to come here.

Very clean place with fast wait times. It is also close to audobon ER if needed. The service was…read morefriendly as well. They have a new touch pad for more patient information in the room now.

**Covid-19 related post**…read more What a hard working team of health professionals! This past weekend my 7 year old was showing signs of what was probably a summer cold. Being that she's not able to get vaccinated yet, and we're reported surges in covid-positive cases in the area, I wanted to get her tested before considering any weekend plans. I called many different urgent care and local pharmacy options looking for a rapid test on a Saturday morning. Norton urgent care was the only place I found that was responsive over the phone, were administering rapid PCR Covid tests, and were accepting walk-ins same day. Yay Norton! When we got there the person at in-take was friendly and helped me understand the process. We checked in were told it would be a 2.5 hour wait. We were willing to wait and so I gave her my phone number and we chilled out in the car. (Pro tip - bring water and snacks, we were not prepared and had to have supplies brought to us.) Then when it was our turn for registration, the same person called me to get all the information and went through the paperwork I would need to sign. At about the two-hour mark, earlier than expected, the team was ready for us and I got another call to come inside. My daughter was seen promptly, the test was administered, and results came back within 20 minutes (negative). The urgent care doctor gave me follow-up suggestions for her cough and we were on our way. I want to commend the staff at Norton Urgent Care for their professionalism, kindness, patience, and competence during our visit. We always knew what to expect and felt like all safety precautions were taken. I was surprised at how difficult it seemed to be to find a testing location same-day with rapid results near me, but once we found Norton we were in good hands.

Nothing immediate about it. If you want to spend your entire day here despite there being very few…read moreother patients, then it's great. I spent a few hours here after being sick with fever and flu like symptoms for 4 days. The result was being prescribed a decongestant... THREE hours for something I could have gotten over the counter.
