She took all my vitals and inserted a pick line for the sedation. During my wait for surgery I had three different nurses visit, the Anesthesiologist and Dr. Blair who was going to do the surgery. The operation was easy and I had no complications. After surgery they took me to a recovery room. The nurse there was very friendly and helpful. She explained everything I needed to know for recovery. In total it took about three hours. I look forward to returning there in two weeks to have surgery on my other eye.

Special thanks and a SHOUTOUT TO LEMOND, and JEN (both post-op nurses)!! Lemond was super fabulous, and I had to give him a hug for taking such great care of my daughter! The other post-op staff offered my grandchildren popsicles and skittles for being so well behaved. Even when taking her out to the car, Jen and another nurse were patient and helped her get safely into the car. I'm so grateful for everyone we encountered today (6/27/25)!!!!!

So when I was in need of immunizations for an upcoming trip to India, I was in a bind. I called a couple offices under my insurance, and the soonest I could get in as a new patient would be months after my trip. That was the case when I called Norton Community Medical Associates in Mid City Mall too, but the clerk there was able to get me in the following morning due to a cancellation at their sister site on Barret Avenue. And that's how I met Dr. Ana Overley. She was quick and efficient. Chatting with me about my overall health needs, while also getting me what I needed for my trip, which ended up being three vaccinations and some malaria pills. I also appreciate that she didn't redo a bunch of basic dianostic tests and bloodwork that I just had done at my ob/gyn. She just asked that I get a copy and bring the results with the next time I come in. Done. She was easy to talk to and put me at ease. And the staff person, who gave me my shots, also deserves some commendation. I'm not a big fan of needles, and I did not feel the needles go into my arm. Fast and relatively pain-free -- that's what I want when I must get a shot. The office was also immaculately clean. The front desk staff was courteous. I feel better knowing that I now have a primary care office near my home I can rely on.

I use the Oldham County locations as much as possible for convenience but have no qualms about visiting these docs in their Louisville offices when necessary. I have had only one negative experience over all these years and, while it was unpleasant, it was only with one medical assistant who was taken off of my visits after that. The doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and staff have been absolutely stellar! At the risk of making my own appointments harder to come by, I highly recommend the Gastroenterology practice. They are focused on the WHOLE patient and have diagnosed issues accurately and thoughtfully.

I received standard lab services for an annual physical and was charged $1500 for "hospital based lab services". My insurance company offered to pay 200% , or $450, for what Baptist receives from Medicare for the same service. Baptist REFUSED to accept the payment. After years of collection letters and phone calls I am now being sued for $1500. After this fiasco, I have been using Labcorp who charges $250.

This building has an ambulance only entrance and another entrance in the back. They do have metal detectors and do bag searches if you bring bag/purse in. My keys were held because I had pepper spray attached to it. Going to the front desk it moved quickly beings I have a mybaptist chart. I was taken to a room and triaged quickly. It did take some time to be seen by a provider. I was seen by RN for vitals and to be swabbed for Covid/Flu and strep. After that seen by registration. It did take some time to be seen by a provider. Once seen an initial exam was done and my swab results all came back negative. I was prescribed some strong cough medicine and went to nearest 24 hour pharmacy. When checking out, that's when I had to pay my co-pay vs paying up front. I did get my keys back and checking the time. I was there for only over an hour. I read other reviews where people waited longer. I guess it depends on how many people are there and if you're there for urgent care/ER visit. ER is 24/7 Urgent care 7a-9p. I had an excellent experience and couldn't ask for better quality of care. I'd definitely come back here.

Everyone that comes and goes wants to know if we need anything or help with anything. All labs results, X-rays, etc.... right there!! We are so fortunate to have this type facility near our home. Appreciate all the outstanding staff and the professional care given. The minute you step into the waiting room/reception, you feel comfort and assurance that you selected the best facility to handle your issues. Thank you!!

I've been here three times over eight years now and it's okay. Not great. Not terrible. Make sure they're in network in your insurance or you'll get a $30k bill from them. Just FYI. But if they're in-network, it's easily affordable depending on your plan. Be prepared to have to stay alllllll day if scheduling is screwed up and they don't know what they're doing. Bring a snack in case you get canceled. Definitely bring headphones and something to keep you busy or you will lose your mind waiting. Hope this helps!

COMPLAINT.....My son was scheduled for surgery 11/13/23, at 3 pm, at Metro. He received a call from…read moresomeone on the Friday before, saying his surgery might get delayed, but if he didn't hear anything, to be there at 2 pm Monday. He did not here anything so he arrived at 1:45 pm and checked in and they said nothing to him about it being delayed, they did make sure they collected his balance due though! He and my husband saw his name, Tyler Simms, on the surgery board and it said his surgery was now scheduled for 4:30 pm. They patiently waited, and he was finally called back at 4:45 pm for prep. At 5:30 pm our son walked out from the back telling us his surgery had been canceled because it was too late in the day?!?!?!? Did they not know this any sooner, we truly feel they did!! What reputable facility does that to someone?! He had not eaten or drank since midnight, only to lose an entire work day of pay, and so did my husband, since they both had to take off work for NOTHING! They told my son to just call the office in the morning to see when his surgery could be rescheduled. They have since rescheduled his surgery, but not offered anything for their lost wages. This is not right for a facility to do that to anyone!!
