The food and beverages were great. The atmosphere was good for a late breakfast/early lunch.

My husband and I are really glad to be able to eat at restaurants again. We prefer restaurants that follow some measure of COVID protocol. We always go out on Veteran's Day because my husband is a Viet Nam veteran. We don't always order the specific special item, but we like to do business with restaurants that honor those who served our country. It makes difference in our choices for the rest of the year. Today, we crossed First Watch off of our list of choices. When asked if they had specials for Veteran's Day, the answer was a matter of fact, "No". Asked if they have veterans' discounts, the answer was another, "No". The placed was packed, as usual, and we put our name on the wait list. Then, I said I would rather go somewhere that honors veterans and service people on this day. We left and went across the street to Village Inn. We had the best pancakes and friendliest service we have had in a long time. My husband also received a veteran's special. We will definitely go back soon. As for First Watch, I can pour maple syrup on my own bacon in the future (that's the only dish that really stood out for me in past visits.) Judging from the crowd that is there every time we visited, they won't miss our business. read more

Our staff eats together here regularly. I think I've been here 4 times in the last 3 weeks. The food is AMAZING and the service is great. Ask for Jenny because she is hilarious and isn't afraid to give some sass back. Service is really an issue. Didn't get greeted until we flagged someone down, didn't get a checkback on the food, and had to flag someone down again to get the check. Food is fine if a little on the pricey side for what you get - potatoes have obviously been pre-cooked and held and then heated with some sort of wet process that preserves the charred flavor without also preserving texture. Salad I got with mine was largely wilted. Water glasses were dirty. Just a lack of interest in details with servers who have either not been trained, are not supported, or some combination of the two. There's a lot of competition for brunch in Denver - worth it to go somewhere at the same price with a quarter of the frustration. read more

I have been to First Watch three times now hoping each time for a better experience. The first visit was for breakfast and the following were both lunches. The food is alright but honestly seeing gallons of Log Cabin maple syrup and really low quality bulk foods in the kitchen from the dining area leaves something to be desired and does not marry well with the healthier approach of the restaurant given that Log Cabin is barely in the neighborhood of real maple syrup. Additionally, there are no milk alternatives for coffee (which is mediocre to begin with) which this day in age should be offered at all restaurants. Lastly, the service is very disappointing. From servers to register staff the overall attitude is just attitude. Snooty, disinterested, dismissive and slow. The staff really needs some training in how to serve customers and make them feel welcome. They also need to learn that everyone should get water upon sitting down, I had to ask for it at least 3 times each of the visits there. No intention of going back. Shame too as Arvada really needed a good breakfast spot. read more

I debated writing a review because I have mixed feelings but after reading through them I decided I need to. I don't usually do reviews and I would like to start off by saying I LOVE First Watch! I am from Florida and recently just moved to Colorado so finding this place was like finding a little piece of home. I sadly had the same server experience as another one of the reviews. I am not sure if it is the same server or not, but my servers name was Becca so I would assume so (long red hair in a pony tail) and was just as another reviewer on here said, she was slow in taking our order, forgot our juice, very rude, I even heard her swearing and talking poorly about I believe a customer to another server while walking past our table. My boyfriend and I were in awe of how self absorbed she seemed to be. Numerous times we saw her just run over other servers while it seemed like most everyone else was working together as a team. The hostess and even the bus lady were extremely kind along with the cute little server who brought us our food. All together we will come back but we will most definitely be requesting a different server if she is working. One bad apple can ruin a restaurant but luckily the incredible food and other friendly faces were enough to keep us coming back and excited to make this a regular place! read more

I frequented First Watch when I lived in Phoenix and was exited when one opened in Arvada. I finally had a chance to go this past weekend. Weekends are VERY busy especially if you arrive after 9:00 or 10:00. We were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes and within 10 minutes (possibly less) we were seated. After we were seated it took a couple minutes for our server to come and bring coffee but since my 10 year old wasn't drinking coffee he went without a beverage for at least another 10-15 minutes which was how long it took her to take our order. This was tolerable because she was at least personable and it's not as if we were the only table in her section. Wait time for food wasn't unreasonable once the order was put in. For drinks, husband had the morning meditation which is a kombucha and orange juice mix, the boy had the blue booster which is a mixture of white grape, blueberry and lemonade and I just had coffee (their coffee is always good). Food wise, kid had the chocolate chip pancake, husband had the roasted veggie fritatta and had the chile chorizo omelette. Everything was good but I thought the choizo was a little bland. All in all good breakfast/brunch/lunch place and we'll be back. read more

This place was amazing!!! My friends and I tried a few different items for their opening event today, and everything was SO good! The Protein pancakes were perfectly sweetened, had a nice berry compote and almond butter, and a little crunch! It was such a nice texture. The biscuits and gravy, my guilty pleasure, the gravy was so light and yummy! Eggs were cooked to perfection. The Kale drink was my favorite, it didn't have a harsh kale flavor, it had a nice balance of sweetness to it. Absolutely wonderful! You will love the items here, I wish I had tried the million dollar bacon, because that looked like heaven. read more

Worst service ever!!!! Waitress stopped by to bring our drinks and drop off a pitcher of water, never brought water glasses to the table. Took our order and we never saw her again until we were finished with breakfast. Our breakfast was really good, and was fresh. The food here was very good, but that was the only good experience we had visiting this restaurant. We sat down and no one greeted us for at least 15 minutes. We had to go up to the hostess to ask her if our server was coming, so she went and grabbed her. She never checked in on us the entire time and we were not the only table that experienced this. The hostess was picking up the slack for the server. One table behind us left because they were not even being acknowledged and the hostess goes "that's the sixth table that's walked out". My advice would be to pay more attention to your customers and their needs. Also, promote your hostess to a server because she was picking up all of the slack for the terrible ones and was the only one that actually cared about her customers. read more

We visited today (Sunday morning) excited to try a new restaraunt for breakfast. Initial impressions were positive, cool atmosphere, didn't wait too long to be seated. However, that's where my positive experiences end. We were seated in the middle of the place, and had many waitresses & hostesses walk by us and make eye contact without asking us if we had been helped, even without any drinks or water pitchers in front of us. After 20minutes of seeing multiple guests that were seated after us be waited on and be served drinks, we got up and left. Probably won't be back. read more

I can not say enough good things about First Watch! They were able to accommodate our huge party of 20. The server was incredible, punctual and cordial and made our experience even better. Don't come on a Sunday morning and expect to have a place to wait for 20 minutes. The tiny waiting room is overcrowded. I was made to feel like I should wait in my car or outside (28 degrees outside). This is not accommodating to your customers. Especially after having to shuffle all over the room. Guest need not feel like they are a burden. And after being kicked out of the 1st come 1st serve table, I really felt out of place. Unwelcome. Better organization and crowd control are needed. read more

Love this restaurant and this location. lots of parking , great fresh food and to top it off we had the best waitress, Valerie. She was outstanding, she never forgot anything. We recently had breakfast at a different breakfast place and I couldn't get butter or syrup for my pancakes, so when we had Valerie we were so pleased at how efficient and friendly she was. She made great suggestions as to what we should order and about their fantastic fresh juices that we didn't even know they had until now, and now I'm hooked to that kale tonic!!! The only thing that I would recommend if I could would be to get rid of all the hard chairs. I love to sit on something soft and feel cozy when I'm at a restaurant. They do have booths, but they are hard to come by on a weekend when you are a couple of two. Healthy menu options that are kept interesting by the addition of new specials every so often. My favorite is the power wrap with chicken added, it makes for an awesome full meal on the go. They always use fresh ingredients! Their juices are the best! I love their morning meditation, kale tonic, and red medicine. The cookies are also necessary for dessert to go on the way out of the restaurant, I get one almost every time! read more

Wow! My family and I absolutely love first watch! Great healthy food that taste amazing. My favorite dish is A.M super food bowl. It has yogurt that taste like whipped cream, fresh berries, sweet granola, and chia seeds. I also recommend the kale tonic juice. Food is really good, service has been terrible. I waited tables for years and understand things happen, but two different wait staff on two different days were slow and with attitude. Kind of like they were grudgingly doing us a favor to wait on us. The food was good enough I'll probably give it one more chance, but it's frustrating to pay $12-18 a head for breakfast and be treated to poor service. First Watch is my go-to place for a delicious and healthy breakfast. I chose First Watch to host a cousin's reunion yesterday. My husband and I were the only people in attendance who had been there before. It was a hit! But the standout of the morning was our server, Tyler. He was super efficient, courteous, and all of our orders were spot-on. My hat is off to Tyler who made this event even more special. Every eatery should have a young man like Tyler on their staff. I love this place, it's my favorite breakfast place ever! The food is delicious and the the place is super nice and the workers are outstanding! first, i ordered online for curbside pickup. i get there and i wait 10 minutes in the curbside pick up area. there are no instructions on how to let them know you're there! so i call them and it rings but then i get a message from verizon saying to check the phone number because it isn't working. i call back like 5 times. i ordered curbside because im high risk. i had no choice but to go inside to get the damn order. i got 2 bags and my drinks . i double check my order because i'm already not trusting that they will get things right. and i was right! my three brownies were missing good thing i checked before driving away, so at this point im frustrated and i have to go back inside again. the lady doesn't acknowledge me and instead seats another couple that came after me?! really?!! i was at the counter! so she comes back and i tell her their phone isnt working and that i came inside to get my meals but my brownies are missing all she says is how many brownies and gives them to me, she doesnt apologize or even say that she will check the phone lines nothing! sorry thats the last time i go there, and my pancake was hard :/ horrible service! read more

We were excited to go here since the Egg & I failed. After being seated, I asked for the hostess to turn down the music. She did. We ordered and our food came. That's when I noticed the music was up even louder than before. My mother couldn't even hear us speaking. My sister asked the server to turn it down. She said she had to ask her manager. My sister asked the manager to come to our table. She never did. As we were leaving we asked for the manager again. Katy said she was REQUIRED by corporate to keep the music louder than the talking. This makes NO SENSE! We had to raise our voices to hear OVER the music and so they just turned it even louder. Dumb! As for the food... my sons omelet was tough and chewy, my daughters biscuits were grainy and mealy, and my poached eggs were actually a stringy, slimy, runny mess. My mom and sister liked their food. We told the manager if they have to keep the music so loud, we won't be back. read more
