He walked me through the process, explained everything that was going to happen. He was there when something exciting happened and there when some issues came up and I needed support. This review is solely for Deb Basler. While in town for the weekend (from Memphis...so not a short trip!), we got it into our heads that we wanted to see some condos, and see them, well, right now. The boyfriend made a few calls and got someone on the phone who promised to call around and see if anyone was available. Not super promising, but, well, it was the Saturday before Christmas -- what could we really expect? Shortly thereafter, we received a call from Deb, who said she could show us some vacant units later that afternoon. Not only was she willing to drop everything and come out on a Saturday, she was full of information about the area, low pressure, and surprisingly honest about what we were looking at -- no sugarcoating, "Everything's fabulous!" realtor crap. And thus we were off and running on a home search that took several months, while she patiently put up with our waffling between buying or renting, condos vs single family homes, and much more. When we announced that we wanted to come up for a weekend and see 22 homes in 2 days, Deb didn't bat an eye, but just asked for the list and planned out the showings. When we ran ahead of schedule, wanted second showings, and suddenly wanted to add properties we'd seen in the paper, she got on the phone and made it happen. I can't imagine spending 2 full days with anyone else -- Deb's low key, fun, and slightly irreverent attitude kept me going through far more homes than anyone should see in such a short period of time! Even the scads of paperwork required for an offer were made more bearable by Deb's approach. "This is just another stupid thing you need to sign" boils it down to my level -- I don't need 20 minutes of explanation about something that I'm required to sign in order to make an offer! And the fact that she was willing to come into the office at 8pm on a Sunday to write an offer, after a full day of showings, really meant a lot. After we moved into our new home, Deb sent us a lovely note thanking us and welcoming us to Oshkosh, and even included a gift card to Menards, which was just the cherry on top of a great experience. This review is for Bob McGuire; You will not be disappointed with Bob's dedication to sell or find your next dream home. Bob was AMAZING!! Bob made everything as easy as possible, he always took the time to ask for any questions we had. Sometimes my wife and I would be up later, and would get an email from him at 11pm, responding to questions that we had earlier that day. My wife and I would look at each other and be like, "should we tell Bob to go to bed!" (in a tone that we would tell our kids). Bob kept us up to date on current sales of homes in our market and price range, to make sure our home was still priced competitively. Also when looking at our new home to purchase, he did market research to make sure this home was price accordingly before we put in an offer to buy. We also greatly appreciated his dedication to finding our new house and patients with us as we had easily looked at over 50 homes between Oshkosh, Appleton and everywhere in-between. I was referred to Deb through my previous employer and a relocation program I was offered. I was impressed with her promptness and professionalism with the appraisals requested by Xerox. The other agents they referred were fine, but Deb was definitely heads above. I ultimately never did take advantage of the relocation program but a year later, when I was ready to sell, I had no hesitation reaching out to her on my own. After our first face-to-face meeting, I knew that I wouldn't need to vet any other agents. She immediately put me at ease with her down-to-earth personality and knowledge of the Oshkosh market. As a first-time home seller, I naturally had many questions which she patiently answered leaving zero doubt we could work together. Initially, I had a selling price in my head but I trusted her expertise with the local market and listed it at her suggested price instead. Lo and behold, I sold my home in 16 days with a full-price offer! The bank appraisal from the buyer even came in at that number, so I would say she knows her market. Of course, she also had an open house scheduled that first week and ensured the photos for the MLS/website were professionally done so my home was showcased in a way that enticed an offer with only 2 showings. Even though we had a buyer that quickly, Deb continued to support me through the selling process. She kept me well-informed as to inspection dates, questions from the buyer, appraisal information and loan commitment date. I was able to contact her by phone, email or text as she was readily available and very responsive. She even had a referral for lawn care that I utilized since I was living 2 1/2 hours away and mowing/trimming/edging was difficult to maintain. Two days before closing, we hit a bump with the buyer's financing but Deb worked tirelessly to not only make it so I didn't have to travel and take time off work to sign, but also that the closing actually happened! She was an advocate through it all and I would recommend her without a single reservation.
