I went to have a duplicate made for my safe deposit box key. The person there was less than…read morewelcoming and not at all gracious; surly, in fact. He took my key to the back. Since he wasn't wearing a mask, I went outside to wait. When he came out of the back after several minutes (which I guess was for show), he quoted me a price of $45 for a single key because, he said, it was a safe deposit key. When I tried to ask why it was so expensive and whether that was an industry standard, he became defensive and said, "That's what I charge.", handing me back the key. I went to 2 other places. One was $15. Another was $7.50. I got it made for $7.50 at Brothers Lock and Safe, in Edison, an 84% discount from the Firstline price. Draw your own conclusions. I was wearing my BLM mask and t-shirt. Maybe that had something to do with the price and demeanor.
