Those of you mathematically inclined will have worked out that this is seven visits. A lot of older clientèle there so it is a place to go to for a quiet meal with someone you feel comfortable with - and you'll both enjoy it.

We were a table of four dining on a Tuesday, and it was a laid back atmosphere. We ordered two appetizers (calamari and crab) and three mains. We had a grilled fish mix (pan seared sample of three fishes), cod with lobster sauce (Thermador style, this was off the menu because they were out of fish pie) and an impressive sea bass for 2 (with prawns, fried rice and vegetables). The photos speak for themselves; all dishes featured fresh seafood and were delicately prepared. Hints of ginger, chili and coriander, which are staples of Mauritian cooking. We ended our meals all very satisfied. Not to mention a very friendly front of the house who was also running the fish shop downstairs. Also, the chef and owner came out to chat with us and other customers as we were leaving. I would definitely go back to try the Mauritian fish curry. A) Food - still delicious. Fish is very fresh - fried & grilled to perfection. Chips - old-fashioned chunky. Fluffy inside - crisp outside. Very generous portions. Also I discovered why their hummus & taramasalata starters are so good. Handmade in the restaurant. Not supplied by an outside caterer or from a jar. B) Service - terrific. Friendly and prompt. C) Prices - very reasonable. Similar to standard fish & chippies serving rather standard fare. All told this is a superb choice for dining-in. (Tables well spaced apart. And always a quiet ambiance). And great for take-out. They seem to work with all the food delivery applications - so people can order through those. Unfortunately for me I live 6,000 miles away! So a treat only when in London.
