Well I tell you what.... This place was broken down today!! The waitstaff was terrible... the chicken came out STILL RAW IN THE MIDDLE.... And we sent it back to get it cooked a bit more.... And they forgot about it... we left another 15 mins later.... Not their best night-FO SHO!!! read more

They should rename it the catfish hut because that is the only fish they offer. Also bring cash, and lots if it, kind of pricey and they don't take credit or debit cards (at least they have a sign warning you when you walk in). The house salad was really small and $5. I got a double cheeseburger, tater tots, side salad and a drink and it was over $20.00 and no refills on the sodas. Next time I'll just go to Wendy's next door. read more

Excellent catfish, solid service and a very busy community hang-out for lunch when a daily buffet gets added to the short order menu. The locals mostly went for the buffet and it looked ok--did have purple hull peas, a fav. And a group of guys next to us went for burgers, which were substantial and looked tasty. We live just over the TN line in MS. We drive up to Savannah several times a month for one thing or another. Today, we decided to eat a late lunch while taking care of some business. The hubs was craving catfish so I got on my phone to see if there were any restaurants we weren't familiar with where he could get his fish fix. I read good reviews for the Fish Hut so we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The building isn't anything fancy but its casual and cozy. My husband ordered the Large (6 pc) fish plate and I got the Small (3 pc) fish. We both about fell out of our seats when we saw his plate and the size of the fillets. I struggled to finish my 3 pcs and we ended up taking half of the other plate home. If you haven't tried it; you should, great folks there. Definitely a new catfish go to for us. I love their catfish and slaw. Their food is delicious and service is awesome. It's been here so long and they haven't lost their touch. I do recommend this place because you get your money worth. Visiting Savannah and ran across this little place. Nothing fancy at all but the food was good, service attentive, portions adequate and if you are a local....your sweet tea was at the table by the time you sat. Servers were warm and friendly but I can't say the same about the young lady at the register. Guessing she was having a difficult evening. Hubby had butterfly shrimp and said it was good. I had grilled lemon pepper fish and was pleasantly surprised. Noticed a lot of regulars ordering the soup and the to-go line was continuous. My only hesitation is most everything is fried and I can't do fried due to reflux issues. read more
