Barb and I went to the so cal fair here in perris, the vendors at the fair wanted 4.50 for a taco at the fair and 5 dollars for a soda. we went searching for tacos on the way home and found fish taco express. OK i am always looking for a good fish taco, and have been dissapointed alot! Not here taco is good size, fish is delicious and not overcooked, sauce is great with a little heat, And a $1.50 a taco thats a deal!! I will be back and will tell anyone i know this place makes a great fish taco, and Barb and i got 4 tacos and a large soda for what one taco and a soda would have cost at the fair. Was looking forward to these fish tacos but unfortunately they didn't live up to the hype. The batter of a fish taco is supposed to be crispy and they were not that at all. To the owner of this rip off place, I spoke to 2 of your employees in the 4 phone calls I made right after my grandaughter picked up the order. The first one told me I had to talk to manager call tomorrow am called told he was not there call back at 3. Then told he came earlier and gone. Then called back again told to come on Saturday to have it replaced. Called Saturday and told the employee I was coming then. She said ok. Get their here comes Juan and sss as us they wanted 17.00 again. Obviously none of the 3 employees don't communicate with each . I did not eat the cup full of juice with hardly any menudo in it the foot they put in there was not done either. I was shocked at the service and attitude after coming there for 4 years. I left my number but of course I knew he did not give it to the owner. That should not been given to any customer. Just because I'm black does not mean I was lying. The food went in the garbage for the trash on Tuesday . I don't appreciate any business that takes in money and act like the customer is wrong when you try to get a wrong made right . My family was told and my friends I was telling was a good place to go I let them know not to go and spend one dime there. I was told to come back a week later because menudo was only made on the weekends. But if you been there robbing customers for 4 years I guess it was my turn. But it will never happen again. First time I reviewed this place over 2 years ago the owner was always there it was good. I've had 2 really bad experiences since than. A while ago I ordered Caldo de res and the rice they gave me Was bad like rotting it ruined my whole soup the owner was not there. I ended up going back because I know the food can be good the owner was there I ordered menudo it was good. Today I go back order a few things one being chilaquiles it was not that it was eggs on top of a fried tortilla with a tomato salsa I've ordered chilaquiles from there before this was huevos rancheros it also had double beans no rice not sure if they ran out? Also ordered menudo all the foot pieces are inedible super hard and took up so much room in the menudo that I'm left with not that much actual menudo I can eat. The owner needs to know things aren't the same without him there. read more

Just picked up an order for take out. Ordered fish and shrimp tacos and one asada torta. First off, I go to pick up my order and I asked to use the restroom after I paid because I needed to wash my hands. The girl tells me the restroom is closed. I want to point out that they're offering dine in. They had a restaurant full of patrons but a closed restroom. In a world where the bars are now open you're telling me you still refuse to open the restrooms for paying customers? Is this to avoid cleaning? I'm sure it is. I wonder if the restaurant owners know that if the hands are visibly soiled the hand sanitizer being offered at the register clearly won't work. Where are the dine in customers suppose to wash their hands?! How disgusting and unsanitary! Im sorry but it's time for establishments to realize if you're gonna open FULLY you need to open the restrooms. Thats ridiculous and because of that alone I won't be back. Secondly, over the phone the girl that took my order said they tortas only came with cilantro and onion, important because my daughter asked for it plain. The torta was not plain. It had cabbage and some sort of sauce. It went untouched obviously. On a good note. The fish and shrimp tacos were good but not great. Wednesday June 12th late afternoon I got a bean and cheese burrito to go. When I went to eat it at home, it was a long, skinny, greasy mess, and cold!! So I opened it up and I counted 3 beans total and just cheese. Called them up and said there are no beans on this bean and cheese burrito, only cheese. Person on the phone said:"She said she put beans on it" So I drove there with it and the cashier , who said her name is Sarah , opened it up. She looked really close and She said " I see beans, there are beans on it" So I pointed and counted #1, 2 ,3 beans.. 3beans , I said,don't make a bean and cheese burrito. To which she replied. Well, you only get one scoop. I said Great, give me a bean and cheese burrito with one scoop of beans. She said again, well there's beans on it. I said yes, 3 beans. Then asked her why are you even arguing with m A customer doesn't call and drive across town if its the usual burrito she gets. You think im doing this for fun? She replied.. im not arguing with you.. So she took it back to the cook. And the cook ( a younger sort of fat lady) is angry and looks like she's telling somebody off. I asked "what's the problem?" And the cashier comes back to me and says.. there's beans on it and you only get one scoop. I asked her Do you know how long I've been coming here to get bean and cheese burritos? And this isn't it! Now an older lady comes up and the cashier tells her " a bean and cheese burrito". She starts on the tortilla, and I make sure to watch so I don't end up with poisoning or something on my burrito. When the older lady is assembling the burrito she shows the 1st cook ( the younger sort of fat lady) how she assembles it. I see her put a lot more beans on it then the one I returned. 3 scoops. It looked like my usual burrito and the sorta fat lady cook gave the older lady an embarrassed laugh. It wasn't funny to me. She said nothing to me, no apology nothing!! Cashier Sarah comes back with my burrito and said " you got 3 scoops on it" and I told her " now it looks like the burrito I normally get" Cashier Sarah shrugs her shoulders and says Well, I guess she is new" ( the sorta fat lady cook) I asked her why she had to argue with me. I thanked the older lady for making my burrito. They also had cleaned the grill before my second burrito this time and thus time it wasn't dripping in grease. What a HORRIBLE experience and so much time and gasoline wasted for one burrito. I won't be back..dropping them after having been a customer for years. And I didn't appreciate being served the ATTITUDE from both the cashier and the sorta fat lady cook. read more

I'll start off by saying I used to love this place, especially when they opened their second location in sun city, which I might add was very short lived but after my visit to the Perris location recently, I see why they closed their second location. From the mediocre "customer service" to the hot uncomfortable lobby, no restrooms for customers to wash their hands yet the lobby is open, makes no sense to me. My last visit I bought a shrimp quesadilla with the shrimp shells still on ‍ I don't mind paying $13.60 plus a tip but I expect the cooks to remove shells from shrimp, the last thing I wanted to do was have to put food into a napkin I was previously chewing, I live in sun city and drive out for this place however this will be the last time. It's a shame because the food was so good, they need better more attentive employees and let's be real, you're already charging a pretty penny, for bad service and food with shrimp shells inside a burrito ‍ read more

Horrible horrible customer service. The ladies in the front had a horrible attitude. For starters, since the moment I placed my order one of the ladies working took a personal phone call as I was ordering my food. After that she remained on a personal phone call. All the tables on the lobby were dirty. We had to ask if they can please wipe down our table. The part that got me was they called our number and as my husband is walking up to get our food the same girl that made the personal phone call said "just call once if they don't come that's there problem." I found that extremely rude and unprofessional the fact that I heard that from across the restaurant was extremely upsetting. This restaurant has been promoting their business on all social media platforms making it exciting for people to try. However after this experience never again!
