If I remember correctly you drink your prep the night before and morning of. The prep phase is the hardest because of the water bloating you feel while trying to down the liquids. The day of -You will arrive to the office, they will take some basic information, take some vital signs, change you into a gown, medicate you and you're off to the procedure. When I arrived I was checked in fairly quickly but then the wait started. It took about an hour to get called out from the waiting room. But once I was called back the doctor came very quickly. He was personable and was able to identify my issues and provide guidance on next steps. Part 2 I have to go to a surgery center to get the colonoscopy. I walked in and felt like I was in Havana. The staff did not transact in English. The girl at the front desk was not very professional as we could hear here personal conversations with other staff members from the waiting area. I luckily am bilingual but I worry for my friends who are not that they would be able to get the same level of care/communication. Dr. Valladares was the only person who spoke to me in English all day. He explained the procedure and what to expect next. Post-op he came and talked to me about the findings. I think the doctor is good and knowledgeable. I didn't rate him based on the surgery center service as that would have been less than 3 stars but that is not his staff.
