There is also a toy twin and a treehouse like structure and a small trail behind all in the middle of an urban oasis! My son really enjoys coming here and we have spent many lovely days here. My suggestion to parents is to come before 10 AM if your child prefers a little alone time and has sensory needs, since after that time park tends to get crowded. All the best!

Lots of parking, walking trails and wide paths perfect for biking, jogging and strolling. Always be mindful of what you leave in your car as it can be hard to see the cars from the beach.

They have reserved picnic spaces but also lots of spaces where you can simply claim to use the day of your gathering. The bathrooms were not the cleanest nor was the lake water as my son left with a stomach bug the next day. The parking lot is a bit of a hike to get to the lake and picnic areas. I highly recommend using a wagon to transport food and drinks. Or you can have somebody pull up in the handicapped parking loop to drop off party supplies.

The playground although 2 small structures is great as theres a rock climbing wall and lots of swings for baby and big kiddos. Theres plenty of space to sit around playground too. Benches and cement large steps. Also not as crowded as lewis creek park during prime weekend hours but still in safe lakemont neighborhood. Although its not as shiny as the bellevue downtown park and The tennis courts could be a bit better maintained and the benches could use some cleanup -- it still is a good fun fill afternoon with a toddler plus walking distance to grab teriyaki or soft serve from store afterwards. Have frequented many times and the park-goers are well behaved. You see Kids riding bikes around with parents or a competitive tennis match in the court ( almost in the parking lot - cant miss it) or someone taking a jog with their dog. Playground tends to be younger kids and parents. Not so many past age 6 at least when i've gone. I also have found it to be pretty quiet and you're surrounded by trees -no busy street traffic. Great place for a picnic too!
