I don't understand the good reviews. The sodas all had a faint taste of cleaner like they washed the soda machine and didn't rinse it out. The shrimp tasted funny, the Alfredo was gloppy mush with no flavor. The fried food was okay but you can't really go far wrong with that. Pretty sure it's all ordered from some factory made food conglomerate and heated up. If you cook from scratch at home you will definitely be disappointed. If you're a hamburger helper cook then you might like it okay. For the price it's a ripoff. I wonder if all the good reviews are just friends of the owner The only positive thing I can say is our waitress was sweet and attentive. read more

Excellent food and service! We were there at 2pm. Our Awesome Blossom was overcooked but they prepared another, with apologies. We both ate the lunch special: hush puppies, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, a roll, and cobbler for dessert. Atmosphere is relaxing, very family centric. This place is a gem! We are here for the diamond mine and asked a local where to eat. This place was so delicious. The steak was perfect. The salad was fresh and the homemade dressing was yummy (ranch), the potato soup was the best I've ever had! Our waitress was so attentive and the atmosphere was just overall pleasant. A Tuesday evening is a great time for dinner at Fisherman's Cove. It is not so busy so the service is great. It's actually great anytime you go. The grilled shrimp skewers with steamed vegetables were perfectly cooked, and the green salad with ranch dressing was especially good. read more

Good restaurant and great food. Only thing that bothers me is when I order fish and someone else orders seafood at my table (spouse) they only bring one bowl of beans, one bowl of coleslaw etc. I'm sorry I was not raised that way. This was a pretty good choice we made for dinner. The decor is really nice and blends perfectly to its menu of steak and seafood. Seat yourself , it's open and airy. Servers are quick and attentive. The Onion blossom (blooming) is quite good. Almost better than Outback's. They serve complimentary Hushpuppies with each meal. My at one steak was good. Add a dash of A1 and it was even better. Loaded baked potato?....been awhile since I've actually finished one. It was very good. Server did forget to bring me my salad, but I had enough to fill me up. The food at Fishermens Cove was prepared with skill and care. If you do not like what they serve it is because you don't prefer the flavor, not because it was poorly prepared. Every facet of our experience was positive and professional. My wife ordered the fish and shrimp combo. I ordered the regular catfish plate. We both ordered "setup" with the meal. Setup is hush puppies, pinto beans, green tomato relish and coleslaw. The coleslaw was creamy and well seasoned. The pinto beans were not cooked to a mush. You must try the relish. If you'd like sweet stewed tomatoes you will love it. The fish was crispy, tender and well seasoned. The french fries were REAL, fresh cut potatoes, not the bagged, frozen kind. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. A quick tip: It is easy to fill up on setup. Order a smaller portion to avoid waste. I cannot recommend this restaurant too highly. I love it. The food was excellent and plentiful. Did I mention plentiful? There was a lot of food. It was really really tasty. Aside from that, the people are really nice and helpful. If they ask you if you want "setups" you say YES. For those of you who come from locals where that means getting the ingredients to mix your own adult beverage, this is not the case here. The Setups here means a fabulous array of fixins. Get it. You will not be sorry. Don't assume that they keep hours like other restaurants. This is a really large and clean place to take the family. It's right off the road and easy to find. You swat yourself but the welcome was nice. The menus was just the right size with many Louisiana dishes to choose from such as frog legs and alligator . We had the onion numb for an appetizer and it was one of the best I've had with lots of sauce. I had the chicken breast with bacon and cheese on top with steamed broccoli. Wanted to like it. Just couldn't. The food tastes like it's trying not to offend anyone with too much flavor. The ingredients seemed very inexpensive resulting in what reminds you of institutional food.. hospitals, schools... The buffet is what we got. $15 for all you can eat- we didn't eat a lot of anything but kept trying different things hoping to land on something that would at least fill the stomach. There was a standard low cost buffet of salad misc, then beans and canned corn area followed by the noodle chicken and catfish area, then the hush puppy nuggets and mashed potatoes. For desert: strawberry topping with nothing to top it with so we weren't sure what to do with it. Cool whip and cinnamon rolls that taste exactly like honey buns and pudding that tastes exactly like snac-pac from a can. The best thing I ate was the noodle chicken dish and the apple cobbler- it was tasty. Service was friendly but we weren't offered any refills and couldn't ever see our waitress. It seems like a nice family style restaurant but the quality of the food was not what we expected from reading others reviews. read more

Came to this area for the diamond mining. This restaurant is well worth the short drive from Murfreesboro. Large menu mostly seafood and steak. We opted for the buffet. Very fresh salad bar and mostly fried seafood on the buffet. However, it did have pasta and baked fish over pilaf. The desserts were yummy. Would go back. read more

It was wonderful and horrible. After reading online reviews, we showed up expecting menus and walked in the door to see a giant buffet! ....but this was no 'golden corral crud'.... WOW. It was horrible how much food I ate...but it was wonderful. The fish was perfect, and those hush puppy things...wow...and green beans, okra, corn....a rib, or two...quick salad to look responsible - noticed cole slaw - so got a bit more fish. Apple cobbler!! Wait, is that fried shrimp? Rest...rest...can we nap here and go back? What are the unwritten "buffet laws" of this state? We discussed. We laughed and talked and laughed...but we all were just waiting for some relief...something to drop inside...a 'second wind' if you will...so we could go back for just one more plate. First time I've eaten at a buffet like that where I didn't feel ill later...yes, FULL..but not ill. Just one more rib. The Thursday night buffet was very good. I skipped the salad in order to try and taste a lot of different foods. My husband said the baked beans were good with green peppers in them. Peel and eat shrimp were fresh with tasty sauce. The beef rib was nice, not overly cooked,with a dry rub and sauce on side! Did I say a lot of different food. Dessert was cobbler, I got the last Apple and the waitress ask if we wanted ice cream which came in a paper cup. The manager C J stopped and ask if we were satisfied, oh yes!
