Yelp needs a zero star option. Very popular among many people in the area, but i was very unimpressed with my visit. Ordered a cheeseburger- tomato, mayo, cheese only with curly fries- received cheeseburger with nothing on it and crinkle fries. waited 25+ minutes and no waitress or waiter checked on us, my significant other needing a refill as well. When i finally received my correct order, my burger was very dry and burnt, and the fries were stale as if they had been sitting since i ordered it. Service was not well either and the salad bar was very unkept and empty. read more

Update: Couldn't wait to eat the fried shrimp again! Also ordered fried okra and subbed onion rings for other side option (with no problem). Everything fried was AMAZING! Now, the downside: my husband ordered the chicken breasts with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese. Two tiny breasts layered with overcooked bacon, CANNED rubbery mushrooms, and two slices of American cheese fresh out of the cellophane wrapper and not even melted! Totally disgusting! (He ate it because he'll eat anything, but YUCK!) If the fried food didn't get 10 stars this restaurant wouldn't even rate one star (good thing for them it averages out!). read more

All fried food on the buffet & the food was mushy it also lacked any kind of spice. Very bland not worth the $15 for the all you can eat.

First off, maybe I just caught them on a bad night. In town for a tournament and it was recommended that I try this place for some good fried catfish. I arrived and the place looks like it was packed a little while earlier. Big line to pay. I wait to be seated and the lady points me to an open table. The table was dirty and they never came over to clean it. I ordered the Cajun Catfish Special. The food came out and tasted really good. Unfortunately I lost my appetite about a quarter of the way in. Next to me sat down a couple of the young employees. A couple minutes earlier they were the bussers. There job was to take clean silverware and put then in a little paper bag for each customer. First off I watch the boy who was doing it drop some silverware on the floor, which was filthy. He picked it up and sat it aside on the table. Then his partner came and sat down. First thing she does in grab from the floor silverware and stuff them into the paper bags. I saw the boy look over but didn't say anything to her. When I saw him casually put them aside, I decided to keep watching to see where it would end up. Meanwhile I watched a little longer as the girl was playing with her phone in between bags, and kept wiping her nose. Pretty gross. A few minutes later more utensils were dropped. The boy picked up a knife and set it aside. He reached over for a fresh stack of bags and reached directly for the floor knife. At this point I was pretty disgusted. I got up and asked him if he really just did that. Of course he said he didn't. I pushed my food aside and got my ticket. Walked up to the front to pay asking if there was a manager present. The cashier said no, and I explained what I saw. He said he'd mention it when he sees a manager. I then asked who was in charge for the night while another lady happened to be standing behind the register with him and she asked if she could be any help. I again explained what I saw. She said she'd immediately take care of it and walked to the table where the employees were doing the bags and collected what was left of the utensils. At that point I left so I don't know what they did with the floor utensils that I already saw them mix into the regular silverware. Overall, the food tasted good. Service was fine. Just the overall lack of cleanliness, and what I saw with the utensils made me give this a 1 star review. Pretty rough. read more

I ordered stuffed crabs from here and I've gotta say they were barely edible. In fact, the crabs tasted more like nearly spoiled fish than crab. I only wish I had tasted it while I was there instead of 20 minutes later when I arrived home. read more

Had a great lunch on Wednesday October 13, 2016 so we decided to go back on Friday night the same week for the seafood buffet. Big mistake! I dare say the only item on the buffet that did not start out processed and frozen was the catfish and fried oysters. This was pretty much the only restaurant we could find while on our way to the Bassmaster Elite series tournament. It was a Friday night and they had their normal seafood buffet on special. It was all fried. Catfish, oysters, shrimp, etc. Even the corn on the cob was fried. We enjoyed it! :) We went back 2 mornings later to have breakfast. Nothing fried this time though. read more

We ate here recently & I just had a baked potato which is not much to review but it was fine. Hubby had grilled catfish & said it was average. He said the mashed potatoes & gravy were cold however. Hubby also commented that the vast majority of menu items were fried. Somehow the bill was close to $30. I agree with someone else who said the restaurant is overpriced. read more

We visit the Toledo Bend area at least once every year, since 2002 we have never had bad meal here!!

Ate here last Friday night with my family of 4 and my brother and his family of 4. Place was busy we called from the parking lot to ask how long the wait was and the said there was no wait so we walked right in to find a table. The place had a local flare about it with a fisherman's cabin kind of feel to it. Four of us had the buffet of seafood and salad bar. Four ordered from the menu. The seafood buffet was well done mostly battered and fried with the exception of a baked filet. I found the stuffed shrimp and crab balls to have to much breading and didn't taste like much other than breading. The frog legs were well seasoned with very little breading. Catfish fillets were also about right on breading and well seasoned. The entire buffet was stocked several times with freshly prepared items. I would echo others reviews of the gumbo. Very well done. The meals ordered from the menu came out quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. The waitress that took our order said that we should order as quick as possible since she wanted our ticket to beat the table of 20 that sat at the same time as us , to the kitchen. My wife had butterfly shrimp fried okra and a sweet potato nice size portion and she said everything was really good. Kids had burgers off of the kids menu which were also very nicely portioned with what looked like a house made bun. Overall four stars because I wasn't really wowed by this place. It appeared that the place was dated and that they had started renovations but then stopped several times. No points for food poisoning! My buddy and I, fishing the Big Bass Splash on Toledo Bend this weekend, ate there Thursday evening. Right after we left, we stopped by the Grocery store. I got sick and had to vomit, barely made it to the bathroom in time. My fishing partner got really sick, vomiting and 'ing all night and into the next day. He could not get out of bed all day the next day, and we missed fishing the 1st day (which we already paid for). He was better by Saturday and we fished. Another guy fishing and at the same motel got sick after eating the catfish, on Saturday night, and missed fishing the last day. Stay away from the catfish, for you own good!!! read more

Do not eat the eggs in the salad bar ever I have been here in and off for about 16 years and every time I go I get eggs and every time when I get home I have an upset stomach and those nasty egg belches and we all know what follows that. I grew up in Many so I have been eating here for nearly 16 years of my life I moved away for a few years and came back with my husband. I told him such good stuff and was so excited to go back, the food is mediocre at best. Not very good. Service was absolutely slacking! Having grown up in Many I knew already interracial couples get stared at but jeez the server barely even spoke to us. Took our order then brought out food never came back until we were done she brought the check and that was it. Didn't even give us an opportunity to order dessert or refill my husband empty drink that he had been slurping on since it was completely empty. The entire experience was just wrong and shows just how far behind small towns are socially. Midway through our meal I looked up and 3 out of the 5 tables in the restaurant were staring at my husband and I. It was an awfully eye opening experience for us. I will never ever go back and am very displeased at the servers lack of professionalism. Had the eggs not caused me to be in my hotel 2 days out of my 5 day vacation I would have given 3 stars. I go fishing at Toledo Bend once a year. There are about 10-15 in the group. Our big treat is to all load up on Friday night and make our annual trek from Holly Park Marina to Fisherman's Galley. We all have a blast. I don't waste time, I order a platter of oysters and frog legs. It don't get no better than that. We were in a particular good mood one time and everyone around the table cut up with our waitress and left a nice tip (400 dollars). We are by no means rich but come to find out this waitress needed repairs on her car ----- yes it was $400 dollars. Thank you Lord and praise you Jesus we all left there with a big smile on our faces. I am sure the blessing received and given will always be a fond memory. read more

I had the 10oz rib eye. I know this is not a steak house but still they should have been able to serve a descent steak. Not good!!

Our family of 5 has eaten at this restaurant on several occasions but we do not plan to return after today. My husband had seafood buffet (everything fried). Three kids & mom ordered off of menu. Food is always mediocre at best & tonight much of it was cold when brought out. Salad bar was poor as well. The menu has always been overpriced, too. We received one refill of drinks each. When ticket was placed on table, the total included 15% gratuity which amounted to about $13.00. There was no notice posted anywhere in regards to mandatory gratuity being charged & the food & service definitely did not deserve it. Evidently this place thinks more of it's self than it should! Instead of paying with a card as I normally do, my family all pitched in the cash to pay the amount without the added gratuity & I casually placed it next to the register as no one was there when we left. Hope they get the message from this unhappy customer!! read more
