The teaching staff are not only wonderful with the kids but in my opinion work with them in such a way that they are miles ahead of their peers. The activities and learning tools they utilize made it much easier on my son as well. He left there always happy and excited to tell me about his day. In addition to the great environment, the owner is also extremely down to earth and flexible with allowing you to chose your child's schedule based on availability (many centers we've visited have not been so accommodating). We are In the infant room and the ladies in there are amazing! Our first day, when we walked in they said "This must be Ella!"...this was a huge difference from the first day at the other daycare where no one was there to let me in the building. They are accurate with bottle feeding times and amount, diaper changes, and nap times. They send you a daily report about the activities she did and also how these activities help with her development. We also get a photo each day around lunch time! I had no idea who she was, I had no idea who the director was, nobody was ever at the front when I came in at 9:30am to greet me. There was always a sticky note on the clock in machine that told me where to go. That whole week was teacher appreciation week. Amanda, came in to the room I was working in and introduced herself... BUT INTRODUCED HERSELF AS KATIES PARTNER, and then right in front of my face gave these two employees both gift cards worth $50 a piece. Mind you it is my first week so I don't expect anything at all. But it would of been nice to of done that NOT right in front of my face, or even a hello card. But not to give other staff members $50 gift cards. But moving on! I started working over at Arbor Village! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT THERE! BIG SHOUT OUT TO PAM AND RACHEL IN THE FRONT! A BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE TEACHERS I WORKED IN THE SCHOOL AGE ROOM( YO-YO,HUNTER, AND CASEY) ! And ANOTHER SHOUT OUT TO THOSE KIDS! THEY WERE AWESOME! I LOVED EVERY BIT OF PLAYING IN THE GYM WITH THEM, KICK BALL, BASKETBALL, YOU NAME IT, Ms.Tracy was right there playing with them! I SHOWED UP FOR WORK, ON TIME! NEVER LATE. AND THEN BOOM.... I had to change my payroll information, and I did that up front with Rachel right next to me and I'm sending Katie pictures making sure I did it correct. They both knew! Well payday came, didn't get paid. THIS IS WHEN IT GETS FISHY... I'm sending Katie screen shots and she's like okay I'll take care of it. Amanda sent me my paystub through my email. And I had to call her because I just had talk to Katie saying it didn't go through for the account, well Amanda said well we will have to issue you a paper check and taxes won't be taken out, which is perfectly fine because I'll just owe them, ME! NOT THEM... well then Amanda messaged Rachel saying issue her a check for this amount. Well I go and open it and my taxes are taken out..... WHAT JOB TAKES TAXES OUT OF A WRITTEN CHECK ???? THAT JUST GIVES YOU FRAUD QUESTIONING ALL OVER IT BUT BUT BUT I DIDNT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT FRAUD, my exact words were how do I know that they are being paid? They CAN EASILY pocket that money. The building itself is state of the art with a large indoor playground, sensory room (only place I've seen with this type of activity), huge gymnasium for them to blow off steam, and a cool activity center with arcade games, computer activities, tv's, etc. I would highly recommend this establishment to any parents trying to make one of life's most important decisions. Putting your child in Day care is such a hard thing, but especially during a pandemic. You rely on the place you choose to do what they say they are going to do, and keep your little one and your family safe. Most Day care facilities, at this time, are not allowing parents into the building. The drop off and pick up are at the door. I loved the fact that I can enter the building and take my daughter to her classroom. I did make sure to ask if all parents must wear masks when they enter, I was assured they did. I trusted the Primrose name and was willing to spend the extra money to ensure my daughter was in good hands during this unusual time. I went in and gave them a $500 deposit and as I was getting signed up, witnessed a parent come in with no mask. (I had only been there 5 minutes at most). The staff did not address it, offer her a mask, or say anything. The parent then proceeded to go back to the classroom, passing other children and staff, including mine. I expressed my concern to the assistant director. She still chose not to address it and didn't say anything when the parent passed us again to leave. This was obviously a normal practice for parents. The next day I called and asked the Director about their practices of enforcing wearing a mask. Her words were "Sometimes parents forget", "We aren't going to hound them", "We aren't in a position to tell them they can't come in without a mask", "We May change our practices if we get a case", "We have established families that we don't want to upset." I just wanted other parents to know as I have done so much research and thought I had found a great place. Very disappointing. I reached out to the owner to please refund my $500 that I had just given them the day before. Obviously this was a justifiable reason not to send my child there. The owner refused, so on top of all this, they took my deposit that they had less than 24 hours.
