It's not often that you go out on a charter and everyone on the boat, including the captain, comes back saying it was the best fishing trip of their lives. Captain Scott's excitement for fishing, knowledge of the sport and attention to his guests makes for a truly great day on the water. Captain Scott met us at our car with a wheelbarrow to carry our stuff, had a cooler full of ice and drinks available when we got on board, and even catered to our two sea sick prone passengers by taking the smoothest path out to sea and checking in with us frequently. After we set up our chum slick, Scott took time explaining each step of the process to us and describing the action happening around, and underneath us on the boat. Just as he said, the sharks took the bait (literally) and we not only caught two blue sharks, we snagged a rare thresher shark after waiting about an hour for it to get to the boat and were rewarded with some unbelievably yummy shark meat to take home! It was a day we'll never forget aboard the Fishing Frenzy. I would highly recommend this company for a fishing charter in the Boston area. Whether you catch the "big one" or not, you're guaranteed to have a great day with Captain Scott.

Holy cow what a great day. I just moved to Boston a couple months ago and had two friends visiting from Colorado and Minnesota. None of us had ever been off shore fishing before. We were hopeful for an exciting day but had no idea how great it would be. Captain Scott and his first mate Mike were awesome and made the day and an awesome experience. We were hopeful for a day of tuna fishing but after a couple of hours with no action for us or over the radio, Scott advised us to consider changing plans to shark fishing. Great call Captain. Before too long, at about 18 miles offshore, we were in for the most exciting hour+ long fight we could hope for complete with an awesome display from some playful humpback whales and a full shark breach 6 feet out of the water. Full on shark week footage type stuff. A truly great day highlighted by my buddy and I tag-team reeling in a 350 lb. 7 foot male Mako shark. Needless to say we were incredibly stoked! Without hesitation, if you are here on Yelp looking for a charter company then stop looking, I advise all of you to choose Captain Scott and Fishing Frenzy for your next adventure.

Awesome trip! Captain Scott and Mike were great; friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We went with just a couple guys for a bachelor party in early August. The weather forecast looked rough but Captain Scott got us out on the water and we were able to grab 2 large Blue Sharks, the size and strength of these things are incredible. What an experience, one I hope to do again! I highly recommended this charter.

His boat is clean and steady. We went lobster fishing. The boat is so steady, it wasn't rocking around too much. Rick gave us each a job to do. One was to record how many lobsters in the trap, which were keepers and which we had to throw back because it was either female (breeder) or too small. I had the job of measuring the lobster for size. Rick taught us that if it's a breeder, you clip the tail to indicate that it's a breeder. My sister in law was recording the number caught in each trap. My brother in law helped with steering the boat (he has a boat too.) My husband helped with gathering the lobster trap with a pole. I didn't know pig skin is used as bait. Although I was nervous, Rick kept me busy with putting bands on the lobster claws. I became an expert at it. At the end of the day, Rick put our catch on the grill. Let me tell you, grilled lobsters are the best! Especially when it's fresh out of the ocean. There was also a small crab in the catch too. I had forgotten about being nervous in the boat. Definitely book a trip with Rick, he makes boating fun! Even for people with anxiety being in the water. I want to go boating again with Rick this summer! I'm not anxious with Rick. He's great! Maybe this time I'll learn to fish!

The park is quite long, it starts in Quincy/Dorcester area, goes through Milton, and I believe ends in Mattapan (Since it is a long path, I have not quite walked/cycled the whole way). On warmer days, there are more people out and about, but it doesn't feel crammed at all. Pros: - View of the water & the city depending on where you start - A few places to park your car (I normally park on the Dorcester side and have yet to see the lot completely full) - There are a few athletic fields so could be a great place to play some ball Cons: - There is almost always dog poop in the grassy area so be careful about where you step & if you are considering a picnic I would carefully inspect the floor before laying claim to a piece of grass.

So it is a beautiful place for walks or flying a kite, but the playground is for older kids... Other than that a great place to visit!

Tim…read morehad the boat readied for us before we showed up and his assistant Jessica met at the dock to make sure we could find his slip easily. We went out on a beautiful day looking for stripers and flounders. Our short ride to his spots was pleasant and Tim entertained us with fishing tales (who knew bananas are unlucky and should never be brought aboard a fishing boat!). At one of the first few spots, flounders started to hit. We reeled in one after another. Tim put them in a tank with circulating water to make sure they are alive when we return. We hit a few more spots for stripers but alas it was not our day. From the chatter over the radio, it was clear that no one was catching any. Tim felt bad that we didn't catch any stripers and took us to a few more spots (extended our charter on his dime) to catch a flounders. When we got back to the dock, he cleaned all the fish for us and packed them in ziplock bags. The boat was fantastic: comfortable, well-equipped, and zippy. I felt well-taken care of and well-guided. Tim is a seasoned fisherman who is warm, fun, and helpful. I would highly recommend him. You won't regret it!
