I noticed staff washing their hands consistently between patients. My physical therapist, Nicole, was excellent. She performed a complete assessment and tailored an exercise program to meet my physical needs. With her encouragement and clinical oversight, each week I got stronger. She was professional and caring. My appointments always began on time. I would certainly recommend Harrison Physical Therapy. Lucille D.

The front office handles scheduling, billing, medical insurance, all you have to do is relax and let the therapists do their jobs; which they do quite well. The therapists call you in at your appointed time and immediately you're doing something or receiving some sort of treatment, constantly. They don't waste your time. I've been at other Physical Therapy businesses and there were times when i was sitting around for long periods before the next modality. Watching the clock as they wasted my time and money. When I had a follow up with the prescribing physician I'd let them know my time is valuable and I would not be going back to that place. If they couldn't suggest another therapist I'd find another doctor. I don't entertain fools. This place does well because of these factors: efficient operations, competent therapists, and feed back to the prescribing physicians. Word of mouth worked wonders before the internet and social media. Now it's faster to eliminate the ineffectual, inefficient, inept practices.

St Francis Rehab & Psych Unit (now MidHudson Regional…read moreHospital) Several years ago we had cause to bring our daughter to the St Francis mental health facility. We were told to wait outside in the waiting room because it was too crowded inside. A family of 5 and 1 potential patient were there. So we were forced to leave our daughter, in the middle of a psychotic break, alone with a group of strangers. Instead of asking a family member or two of the other patient to leave so one of us could reassure our daughter we were left outside. I sent a clear, calm letter to object to this treatment and received a rude letter back from the (then) director of the unit supporting the nurse. This past week my daughter was at the Turning Point at the newly renamed MidHudson Regional Hospital. Recommended by DSS and CPS because as your Web site stated you are a MICA program. You are not. My daughter had 4 successful years in AA so reviewing Chapter One of the BB was of little help. When I spoke with her case worker to try and understand alternatives she was confrontational, rude and nasty. After 30 seconds she handed the phone back to my daughter with the comment "this man is not listening to me". No, I was listening closely but receiving very little helpful information. She also rejected my request to speak to her supervisor. I am over 30 years sober in AA. In all my dealings with detoxes, rehabs, half way houses, prisons etc. this was the most unprofessional contact I have ever encountered. I will be sure to council my AA associates to NOT use the Turning Point as a resource since they are so adverse to be helpful.

They see the human being under the addiction and helped me see things in myself I never knew I had. Over all the place is clean and you are treated with respect. One of the councilors Robert Earl is exceptional at his job and helps you see the big picture, living a clean sober life. What he gives to the Job there is no price tag on it, only love and belief in what he does. Turning point really helped me, I am 4 weeks sober today and they have given me the tools to succeed. P.M

I never leave reviews, but it bears communicating: One of the staff members at the desk gave me…read moreincorrect information (that NY State mandates 10 appts without a referral- that isn't true!), and when I tried to decode that she decided to argue with me continuously (including giving more incorrect info) AND literally took the opportunity to call a bunch of people and speak badly of me in FRONT of me at the office- only some of it was in English, I can only imagine what she was saying otherwise. I just called again (there aren't many PTs covered around me), and she again took the opportunity to argue instead of make up for her mistake. At this point I feel there's no chance of receiving quality care here, specifically because of her attitude. If I went here, I'd also have to see her- and she makes me so uncomfortable I'm deciding not to receive care. Incorrect info aside, it's the willingness to fight and put me down that really disturbed me. I think she's the sister of the owner, so expect her to be there a long time. Finally, IF I had listened to her incorrect information I would be on the hook for out of pocket PT (she kept insisting I could come in without a referral, even though my insurance told both of us that wasn't the case.) I hope the practice takes this review seriously-- I'd like to think that at least the PTs take their oath not to do harm seriously.

This is a continuous issue I've heard about from other patients I've spoken to. When I called the emergency line at 7am and spoke to one of the doctors, he instructed me to bring my mother into the office at 8:30 that morning to be seen due to her pain level and symptoms post-op. We arrived and they refused to check us in. They said she had to wait until the next week for her scheduled appointment and when I said the doctor specifically told me to arrive they stopped speaking to me. We were eventually seen, but upon check out the receptionist refused to accept a copy of my health care power of attorney for her file, wouldn't make eye contact with me or speak audibly, barely answered my questions and got visibly upset that she had to reschedule a follow up appointment for us. The following week when I needed a prescription refill I called 4 times over the course of 2 days and did not receive a call back. I happened to be in the plaza for a PT appointment next door so I went in to ask if I could get a refill for my mom. The 2 receptionists seated on the right side clearly were whispering and rolling their eyes at me. They wouldn't speak to me but we're definitely speaking about me. The woman that helped me on the left side (Flora) was polite and ultimately resolved the issue so I was able to pick up a refill. This office would be a good option if they had more pleasant front office staff. Once she heals, I will not be bringing my mother back to this location. Additionally, the sidewalk in front of the office entrance is basically loose rubble. Very dangerous for orthopedic patients to walk on.
