My aunt is buried at Osceola Memory Gardens and the way they treat people now is a joke. My dad went to the St. Cloud office for help finding her plot and nobody there even spoke Spanish to help him. Then, I went to the cemetery myself and found out my aunt's vase and flowers were STOLEN. Nobody called us, nobody cared. I waited over 30 minutes to see a manager while employees just walked past me like I was invisible. When a manager finally came out, he was so condescending. He assumed I didn't speak English and started talking to me in really bad, broken Spanish--it felt like he was mocking me. Even the groundskeepers told me that the new management is terrible and the property is falling apart. We paid a ton of money for "perpetual care," but that's a lie because they don't care at all. I'm telling my whole church and everyone I work with to stay away from this place. They take your money and then treat you like garbage.

Even though the grounds are supposed to be locked and closed around 7:30PM, they are so understanding towards those that stay later. Tonight was a great example. We were allowed to visit our family member's grave until 8:30PM to spend time with them on their birthday. For those in the process of making decisions on gravesites and funerals, they allow you to do just about anything. People have installed flower beds, benches, crosses, memorials, and every kind of tombstone you can imagine. It's also easy to spend long periods of time there because of how many trees are scattered across the property. Almost all of the sites are shaded for at least some of the day. You can park along any of the roads in the graveyard, which makes each plot accessible. The ground in between sites (like most Florida soil) has tons of ants and mosquitos though - bring chairs and bug spray!! On the bright side, there are also resident turkeys that love to mosey around when it's not crowded. Overall, this is a really lovely place to celebrate the lives of those you miss and are important to you.
