I got a "regular" hair cut and a shampoo/conditioner. Honestly, part of why I go is it's relaxing. This is my second time coming here; I've gotten my hair cut by different people each time. Restroom Review: Fisticuts Barbershop has a single-use, all-gender restroom. It is very clean and has nice decorative touches that shows off the owner, Roberto's personality; sports, comedy, and video games! The restroom had a pleasant smell and was very comfortable and welcoming. Other Review: Roberto is my favorite barber. I appreciated his focus and attention-to-detail on my cut, the nice, relaxed atmosphere, and the chance to play some video games while I wait or simply just take in the environment. Unique barbershop in SE Portland, recommended by my friend for my husband. When you walk in to Fisticuts you definitely get the feeling that the owner is a sports enthusiast. There are lots of framed soccer shirts from the Timbers, a cool mural of the Timbers and two big screen TVs with sports playing. Anyway, the barbershop has a vintage feel and even has the 1950's barber chairs. So my husband came in for a classic gentleman's cut, mustache and beard trim. His appointment was with Roberto, who was very friendly, carried great convo with my husband and I, and he had MAD skills; really took his time and left my husband look very handsome. read more

The haircut was a 9.9 out of 10... And the only reason the haircut was 9.9 is because it was the least amazing part of this barbershop. So I need some room to work. Everything else was a 10 the owner it's like getting a haircut from a celebrity. Oh wait, he is a celebrity just asked to see his paycheck from Hollywood... on top of that he's not only a barber but and historian of the barbershop industry... A true artist and visionary... Roberto runs a great shop. He and his team have much experience with all phases of tonsorial arts. There is always great conversation. Never rushed. Parking is not always easy but will improve when they move to the new shop on Sandy. I've been going there since he opened. I always got a top notch cut. Where to begin... I guess the obvious place is the high quality, personalized, and thorough hair care provided by all of the barbers, but especially mine, Sanchez. Sanchez listens, and only to the specifics of your haircut specifics but also to anything else that happens to be on your mind that day. The shop always has a lively conversation going on and top flight soccer on the telly , if they're not playing eclectic tunes on the stereo. Online scheduling is straightforward and accurate and there are plenty of places around to grab a pint or a bite before or after your cut. I seriously could not recommend the shop more. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The barber was a complete asshole to me and seriously creeped me out. Where do I start! This dude is top notch. He is an absolute artist when it comes to hair. Proper fades. Fantastic line ups he does it all. Super easy to schedule with. I would rank this guy in the top five in Portland for barbers could be the best. My recommendation is to give him an idea and just let him freestyle.
