Gym is not crowded, each time I was there , there might have only been 2-3 other people max. Service is friendly and accommodating. We got a weekend pass as out of state visitors. Pro tip: register on a weekday, since weekends may not have a front desk person to assist Recommendations : 1) test out your access after registration. Make sure to test with door locked to avoid possible subsequent issues 2) bathroom stall was out of toilet paper, so hopefully some more can be stocked up. Overall, would definitely return to visit the facility if I'm back in the area. Keep up the great work.

Boise is my hometown and I come back here to visit every year, but I spend so much time jumping between gym looking for the equipment I need depending on what I'm training that day. The moment I walked in and saw the equipment they had to offer, I knew I was home. They have everything you need to take a true holistic approach to fitness. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the welcoming staff and shown around. Unlike most places I've been around here where the front desk employee kinda looks at you weird like they're wondering why you're bothering them with your presence. All in all, Jack City is an uplifting environment with a welcoming community and unparalleled fitness resources that makes me miss it and wish I had a place like this to train at when I'm gone. And plus, they're one of the only place I've ever seen with kettlebells that go over 50 pounds. Thank you for having me, JFC

Can't say much about this place. I've been a few times for a class or two :)…read more The gym itself is incredible. Very clean, so much space, great selection of weights, cardio etc. If this place was closer to where I live, I'd definitely get a membership. It's very impressive. It's clear whoever runs/owns this place had a beautiful vision for a gym and they brought it to life. I only hope for wonderful things for this gym. It deserves all the best. Coach Nate is one of the best coaches out there. Another wise move by the owners to hire such a kick a$$ coach. The man knows his craft and knows it well. You want a coach who takes his job very seriously, knows exactly what to do to help you achieve your goals and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet? Go here and ask for Coach Nate. You will not be disappointed. Another short review for me?!? With is happening to me? Haha! If you read my reviews, you know I write novels haha! I think I covered this place pretty good though for someone who has been just a handful of times. If you're a Meridian resident or hell, even Boise residents...who don't mind Meridian's traffic (because I loaaaaathhhe it hahaha!) and you need a top tier gym...definitely check out D1. Get you a membership and then request Coach Nate and BOOM! You're set! You won't be sorry!! Thanks, Yelpswoles! Cheers!

The 1-star review is due to a wild safety incident and how Mecca handled it. I started a membership…read moreand was there for only 2 months before they let some stranger without a membership into the gym who physically broke into my locker, stole my wallet, and immediately went on a shopping spree with all my credit cards. I called the police who came and I filed a report. During that process and my back-and-forth with various staff I mentioned that of course I would like to cancel and expect given the extreme circumstance that the cancellation fee would be waved. I was quickly assured that would not be a problem. 6 months go by and I don't hear a word from Mecca until I get a nasty email telling me I owe them over $300 in unpaid membership fees. Shocked, I call them up to discuss. Whoever I talked to told me to email the manager. Manager didn't reply back to me but the billing person did and basically explained that they could care less if my wallet is stolen and since I did not follow some specific sign they claim was posted somewhere that in order to cancel you have to *email* the manager (I guess talking to him or the people reporting directly to him is not enough), they would not consider the verbal agreement at the time valid. Even though I didn't lay foot in the gym since, even though their lack of security (not checking people's membership status during the day) lead to my wallet getting stolen, even though they silently went along for 6 months without communication making it seem settled, they have sent this made-up "bill" to a collections agency. Haven't dealt with a business so vile and greedy before in my life. As for the gym itself, incredibly overrated. You are basically paying double what you should to deal with an overcrowded gym with frequently broken machines and which is a bit filthy at times. Take your money elsewhere!

We walked over to take a look and happened to chat with one of the owners. I returned the next day (today) and my timing was impeccable as I met the other owner, Chelsi. I then decided to do a "drop in" workout for just $10.60. I used the stair climber, free weights, benches, and bike and got my sweat on and my energy out. You'd be surprising how stressful a pickleball tournament can be as a parent ;) There were a few other folks working out while I was there, but the facility is so large, I felt like I had it all to myself! This is such a great concept... I wish I had one closer to home. I would absolutely be a member if I were closer. It's super affordable, has top of the line equipment, and you can come and go as you please... 24 hours a day! The website says that the mission at Elite Fitness is "to empower individuals of all fitness levels to achieve their health and wellness goals by providing 24-hour access to a safe, supportive, and results-driven environment. We are committed to offering clean, high-quality facilities, professional service, and a culture of respect, motivation, and continuous improvement." I would say they are off to a great start! Thanks for the workout today, Elite Fitness, and best of luck moving forward - I hope to be back in the future if/when we visit the area again!
