Josh is a wealth of knowledge related to health, fitness, and nutrition. He has given me incredibly…read moreeffective programing and really helped me dial in my form for various movements, all while keeping it enjoyable and engaging. When you work with Josh you don't get a cookie cutter fitness or nutrition plan. He works with you to discover your goals, likes, dislikes, strengths, and challenges and creates a program that meets you where you are, is enjoyable, and takes you where you want to go. I've dealt with chronic back pain for over 20 years and have always tried to manage it using a combination of stretching and meds. I've done physical therapy for it, and while the pain has lessened, it's still there. One session I mentioned it to Josh and he walked me through 1 brief stretch and 1 brief exercise that helped "reset" the nerves in my lower back. I have started doing these two movements a few times each week, and my back hasnt been painfree like this since I was 17 years old. It's hard to put a price on the value Josh brings to the table. Make the jump and book a consultation. You will not regret it!

My wife and I kept on eye on their stuff while they hit the waves. After they came out, we all chatted for a bit and promised to connect on social media. I'm glad we did. After a few months I sought out Josh's help as I wanted to get back into shape in advance of an outdoor adventure I had planned four months down the road. Josh got me to where I needed to be for my adventure and beyond. He helped me build regular exercise habits after years of neglecting that part of my life. I developed strength, flexibility, and conditioning with Josh's virtual coaching program. He tailored workouts for me by setting my baseline to where I was at the start until I could steadily feel and see the progress. I'm continuing to this day with Josh's coaching and encouragement as I prepare for my next level adventure! Thank you Josh.

Membership is $80+ a month. At that price, these basic amenities should be provided.

The dumbbells go into the hundreds and they are new or in good shape. There are some machines that should have more than one, but instead there is a good variety. It is trade off that gyms face. The clientele seems to be a mix, but I tend to go when college kids are in there. I see some guys and girls who could or probably do compete in competitions. I like being around serious gym goers who know gym etiquette. The front desk staff is nice and the trainers unlike the Cary location are much nicer and professional. The bathroom and locker room is usually clean as well which is nice. They have towel service here which is great. The gym remains a tad bit more expensive than it should be considering similar gyms which is why I leave off a star, but I enjoy this gym and I train often. Recently O2 bought the Golds Gym locations in Wilmington so this is your only real option for a good/great gym. I've also been doing a lot of RPM classes over the past few weeks and their instructors are great. Adrian and Jose stand out as pretty awesome, but there are others that are good too. If you are unsure about this gym go to the website and try and get a free trial.

However, I…read morefollowed Dr. Griffin over from her former practice and have been tremendously disappointed. While her personality isn't the warmest or engaging, I can deal with that as long as I am getting my needs addressed. When I switched to Tidal Wellness, I was told that the monthly fee would include having access to the doctor and administration via text or phone after hours. This was especially appealing since the main office phone rarely worked or was answered. This is definitely not as advertised. While you can text, it does not mean you will get a response. And I cannot count how many times the office phone was not functioning. Between the inability to get in touch with staff and the dirty exam table paper that still had the prior patient's imprints on it, I was a bit shocked. In addition, if you believe masks are important during a pandemic (as literally every other medical provider I have been to does), you may want to reconsider. I have never seen the doctor wear one, and her staff are hit or miss (they usually only put one on if you do). However, I continued to give the benefit of the doubt and attributed this to being overwhelmed with the start of a new business. Also, I really did not feel like starting over with someone new, so I continued. I am very active in my medical care and I believe it is important to be proactive. I ask questions and make sure I understand. The final straw came when I requested some simple labs be run. Dr Griffin obliged. However when I get the labs back, only a portion of them were run, but she had added on labs that were unnecessary. I realize I am not a doctor, but because I was the one requesting the labs and it wasn't due to actual symptoms occurring, there was Absolutely no medical basis for her to run these labs. A sidenote... My rheumatologist had run these exact special labs less than 30 days prior and they were completely fine. Now I am trying to battle with my insurance company to get them to pay for the same labs that were done in such a short period of time. There is the potential that I may be stuck with this bill. I have attempted numerous times to reach out to Dr Griffin to professionally and politely discuss this issue. She has avoided me. I stopped in to make an appointment and spoke with Nick. He scheduled me for a Telehealth appointment but then never put it in the system. When I called at the time of my appointment, he admitted his error, but then he responded with " that happens sometimes." Neither he nor Dr Griffin showed any real interest in trying to resolve this situation. I am not one to leave reviews; however, when a patient is paying money out of pocket for services, they should be aware of what they are receiving. And when we are talking about health...we deserve better as patients. I will happily pay the monthly fee for the remainder of this month and for next month. Based on my experiences going into the office, it is clear to me that tidal wellness needs it more than I do. The professionalism of this office is grossly suspect. I would caution anyone to do their research and be very careful when choosing whether or not to make this practice your point of contact for medical care. My recommendation for Dr. Griffin is that she spend some time training on office management. While she may have medical training, business management is clearly lacking. When you choose to run a business, you are choosing all of it.
