One month in to the new Summit Everett so it's time for a review!…read more First off I'd like to say that I am very happy Summit Everett is here and I'll be continuing my membership with them for the foreseeable future. Opening a rock gym in downtown Everett is not an easy venture and it's very cool that it exists. The facility is very nice. It is clean, well lit, in good order and with 24hr access it's got all the right stuff to make a gym attractive. Whether you are climbing or using the regular weights and treadmill its a very good space. Since their move they transitioned to just bouldering from both bouldering and top rope and I think this was a good move. It makes the walls in the gym more accessible to everyone and can introduce more people to climbing. I won't call bouldering an intro to top rope like some folks but it is easier to get into and I think this switch was the right move. So what could be improved? A quick note about me so you can tell where I'm coming from. I'm at Summit for the rock walls and haven't used the weights or tread mills. I'm a climber since I was young and have an ankle handicap since birth. This means I'm about a 5.12-/v5 climber and won't excel too much beyond that. Including Summit Everett I have climbed four gyms in the PNW both bouldering and ropes and those skill levels are pretty consistent. At Summit I cap at a v4, somewhere between their yellow and blue bands. Summit sets hard. This makes it a very difficult place for beginners. The Vermin scale has a lot of wiggle room so it isn't that they aren't setting according to scale it's that within the scale they set about as hard as they can. You will not find a VB route here. If you are coming from anywhere else in the area kick your climbing level down a notch. My experience is that Summit is also largely a test of physical prowess. Technique and problems solving are not as stressed. The routes meet their difficulty level based on whether you have the strength for a dynamic movement, can grip a hold, or have the reach to progress. I have yet to fail to complete a route at because I didn't think through it correctly or didn't have the technique. These challenges are as important to a skilled climber as the raw physical. Lastly, more wall space. The more options to climb the better. The weekly updates are good but more options would be awesome. This is a big ask for the recently reopened gym so I realize this likely isn't something that can be quickly fixed but I wanted to put it out there because I think it would be very beneficial. Overall, I'm very happy that. Summit Everett is here and I'm looking forward to my time there and seeing the gym grow! Thank you Summit!

In 6 months I have seen improvement and find myself doing things that I thought would take me years to learn. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, if you ever have a question they're more than happy to help. I also didn't expect my child to love it. Kids can be fickle when it comes to their interest but after one round of classes my 6 year old is getting over her fear of heights and has more noticeable self confidence when it comes to climbs. Tl:dr Friendly staff, great climbs, fairly inexpensive, and great for families. The bad reviews are not an accurate representation of what we have experienced in the almost 7 months we have been coming to Summit.

I am a Personal Trainer and a group exercise instructor and here is what I learned: This. Is. Not. That!!!! Cross fit is not your normal gym workout and should not be compared to that at all. These guys were BEASTS!!! They have specific moves that they specifically train to be able to do. I came on a Sunday when apparently all the really good cross fitters come and do several workouts in succession. I was incrediblly intimidated!!! Having said that: I was welcomed by the owner and several members- I was encouraged and shown modifications and i got a bad ass workout!!! Cross fit is still not my thing - but much respect here. The box is a bit small - but has everything you need and they make it work perfectly!! Had a great time - thanks guys

We were approached by the trainers (and now owners), Katie and Andy Stanton, who were incredibly friendly from the get-go. Some people can be intimidated to try Crossfit, but I can honestly say that Amethyst is a very welcoming environment filled with all ages, equal amounts of guys and girls, and all types of personalities. Andy and Katie are passionate about their gym, spending most of their life and resources trying to improve the experience of their athletes. My wife and I now have very close friends associated with Amethyst, and considering we've only been here a year, we couldn't be more happy.

We've tried many different programs and instructors, and my daughter just hasn't "taken" to the water. In comes Addie, and after a couple of months with her patience and kindness, I now have a swimmer. In addition, the entry to the facility always looks really clean and tidy. For this reason I canceled my me ever that just signed up for and paid the registration fee (over $500 Which includes the membership fee). So basically I have been told that if I would have contacted them before the 25th of the month, they could have refunded the membership fee but not that we are past it nothing can happen. If ever I would like to sign up again, I would still have to pay $200. This seems like a rip off and my kid come here for his classes and I come here for my beginner classes as well. Seems like it doesn't matter about customer satisfaction for them. They will Include any rule to make sure they are getting the money. Again, I like individuals here. But as business they definitely suck. I would not recommend being a member here cause as long as you are remember, you are fine but other than that it's a loss of money for you. Many would argue that I should have read terms and condition (which is in benefits to the club) but circumstances arise where you are an advocate to yourself. Be careful to becoming their member because it is a rip off, you may not know it just yet.

Up until he turned 3, it was parent and me classes that I could attend and participate in and my husband was welcome too when he could come! They have taught him great life skills including tumbling safely and amazing listening skills. We recently transitioned to the 3 year old class where I sit outside the class to watch from the sidelines. Thankfully, he did great and listens to the teachers so well! We've been attending almost weekly for about 2 years and we all look forward to going! Teachers Brit and Nina are absolutely amazing with the kids as are all the teachers! We had tried an AGA gymnastics place before this and it was just awful for toddlers. The Little Gym really knows how to make the activities fun and get the kids moving! 10/10 recommend the Little Gym!

I actually didn't sign up for any classes originally and forgot about it and received a follow-up text with an actual instructor from The Little Gym. What great marketing! Hey it worked on me, got the text mid-week & attended class the following weekend. Person was super responsive & even signed us up on her end. Gym is very clean & looks pretty new. The activities vary and keeps the kiddos entertained. Her favorite part was the bubble gun! Made her day!
