They just opened a club in Mount Vernon, in shopping center on College/Riverside. I visited the gym yesterday and decided to join. I've been going to gyms for almost 30 years so am a discerning consumer. What impressed me about this gym is it's clean, the equipment is new and in excellent shape, the prices are very reasonable, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they are geared to accommodate everyone---from gym rats to seniors (like me!) to folks who may feel intimidated by stepping into a gym. I had a training session today with Mike. He was outstanding in every sense of the word--knowledgeable, attentive, encouraging - he gives you 100% of his focus. It's a terrific environment to work out in--regardless of your age or fitness level. This is a gym I look forward to visiting and working out at. I think you will too. Plus, parking is super easy (Riverside gym is down the street, but I was put off by it, as the fees are high, parking is tight, entry.exit from the gym parking lot is tough, and the staff frankly were not warm or friendly) Fitness 1440 is giving these folks a run for their money--they are cheaper, less crowded, friendly, helpful, and have excellent machines. This place is a joke. They have awesome equipment but their membership program is not well explained & you get stuck in a contract that you have to uphold but they don't. They tack on fees, can randomly increase membership dues without your knowledge and it's all pretty shady. So unfortunate. read more

I work out at 5 am. Since this company has taken over and advertised "24 hour access" I have been locked out more than with any of the other folks that owned this gym. Probably time to find a new gym. read more

Management has been extremely disrespectful and downright offensive to deal with. Unfortunate to the owner. Do not recommend, for the spend on memberships it would be nice to be treated like a customer should. RESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENT: Your fictitious delusion from the fabricated truth is appalling. Instead of pushing blame, take account for your actions and apologize. You should be ashamed of the way you conduct business. Why won't you release the video footage and clear your name. We have an eye witness that was there when your employee raised our daughter's shirt without consent shaming her in front of the entire daycare and another mom. Our 4yr old girl still talks about this incident, and feels shame for the actions of your employee. As for your harassment claims, show me where this took place, more lies. Since you insist to badger and smear lies, we will be kick this up to the health authorities and file civil suits. All this could have been resolved with sympathy and an apology. read more

if you wish to over pay your hard earned money to have your time wasted then this is the place for you! The key tag to get the "24 Hr" access works about 1 out of every 10 times. Absolute trash. Bathrooms are rarely cleaned by the "nightly" cleaning. Better hope you do not have to use the bathroom while working out, toilet paper was more readily available during COVID. I had heard great things about the equipment and staff at Pursuit Fitness in Smokey Point. I made a visit and was very impressed. The equipment was all high quality, the floor plan was open, and everything was very clean. The receptionist was very personable and helpful. She introduced me to Personal Trainer Katie Fink. I shared my fitness goals with Katie who went right to work developing a plan of action to accomplish them. This is my fourth week with Katie. I could not be more happier with Katie's instruction, guidance, and encouragement each workout session. Katie is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Katie definitely knows her stuff and pushes me to do my best. The results are really showing off fast! If you are looking for someone with experience, excellent communication skills, full of positive energy, as well as a fun person to be around, I highly recommend Katie Fink. Katie will push you giving the results you were looking for when you first walked through their doors, making yourself feel good, and your money well spent. Katie definitely gets 5 Stars! I've been a member at this gym for over 4yrs (prior to the new ownership), and never had any issues until recent. I'm not upset that the rates increased for my personal membership, but it's outrageous that the childcare rates also increased to roughly $70/month, on top of my membership! Price increases aside I chose to stay until last week's incident. My 4yr old daughter was attending childcare at Pursuit Fitness and one of the childcare providers violated her privacy and asked her to raise her shirt in-front of another parent without my consent, or knowledge. I tried to reach out to the owner, manager, and care worker and NEVER heard from the owner, caretaker, but had a conversation with the manager 'Anthony' and wow was he not only short, rude, but downright disrespectful. I caution all mothers, this is not a place for your families. read more

I have had Connor as a personal trainer for about a year now. I appreciate his consistency and pushing me to do better!

Been working with Connor since September of this year post-shoulder surgery. He has been very knowledgeable in how far to push to maximize recovery and minimize risk of re-injury. Also after having to stop working with my physical therapist Connor has been great at doing a lateral movement to incorporate both strength training and PT exercises into our sessions. read more

This gym and their trainers are great. I have been training with Connor for about 6 months and have been very impressed. He is very knowledgeable, approachable, and motivating. He has helped me get into shape while working within my limitations so that I don't injure myself in the process. His knowledge of nutrition has been a great help to loosing weight also. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn. The gym and facilities are clean and well maintained. The variety of equipment is nice to have as well. read more
