I've been going to this gym for 6 months now and it has been amazing! I started with P60 classes and then decided to give personal training a try, and I'm so glad I did! My trainer, Emma, is the best! I had never done a weight lifting program or counted calories before, so she had a lot of teaching to do! She took the time to walk me through my macros and what/when to eat. She showed me every lift in the weight lifting program she designed for me (and my bad knees) and taught me exactly what muscles I should be engaging. I've lost 35 pounds and went from 31% body fat to 14% with zero knee pain! Everyone keeps asking what I'm doing and my honest response every time is that I just do what Emma tells me to! read more

I've worked with several trainers and had wonderful experiences. Anthony was incredible but had to change his schedule so I was placed with Cassii and she is so amazing, its nice to work with another woman who understands the female body a little better. I also have been able to talk to her about things having to do with food and exercise that I was too scared to talk to anyone else about because I was embarrassed. I have terrible coordination and I get really anxious about it, but Cassii has been helping me get better balance with personalized work outs and I never feel judged. Probably one of the best gyms in Monroe! It's pretty clean, well-equipped, and super welcoming. They have a great variety of machines for building muscle, including two dedicated hip thrust machines, multiple squat racks, and a nice turf area. My only wish is that the gym was just a bit bigger to fit even more machines and a larger turf area, but they've done an amazing job maximizing the space they have. Also, huge shoutout to my personal trainer, Charles! He's super knowledgeable, personable, and fun to work with. He checks in during each exercise and adjusts things to make them either harder, easier, or to target different muscles based on my needs. I've learned so much about proper form, recovery, and nutrition from him. The whole staff is awesome -- everyone from the front desk to the trainers and the group class instructors are so friendly and encouraging. Nicole's dance classes are an absolute blast! They're high energy and a great cardio workout! I also love the little extras like the sauna and hydro massage chair! This might be the best gym that I've been to. From a facility standpoint it's good - complete, spacious, clean, etc.. but what really earns it five stars for me is the team of trainers. Adam in particular as my trainer has really changed the game for me.. I lifted weights before in my younger days, got older and grew a dad bod. Adam has been a great resource in terms of busting myths., teaching me the right form, pushing for good nutrition, which is probably the biggest factor, and has just been a great motivator all in all in and out of the gym. I can ask him about anything from diet to supplements, and he gives a thorough answer and is honest about what he doesn't know. I joined a few months ago and really enjoy the atmosphere. Lots of equipment for strength training, cardio, and free weights. Several classes to choose from. The trainers are great - I've worked with both Charles and Anthony. Both are knowledgable, friendly, and encouraging. Charles has been very helpful with increasing my mobility in my shoulders; he's shown me several exercises to loosen things up and even shows me diagrams of which muscles are affected and being activated. Anthony gets me going on days I'm not feeling too motivated. I'm thankful and appreciative of them both. So after paying for a gym membership for years that I never used, I finally made it in to cancel. Unfortunately the front desk person said I can't cancel my membership in person at the club that is annoying. Instead I had to email them. This seemed a bit of a hassle but I did it we will see if they actually follow thru and cancel that. I asked to change my billing about a year ago and that was never done and when I brought this up to employee at the front desk he inferred it must have been a misunderstanding. Pursuit Fitness - Ive been going to this gym to use their sauna for about a year now, no complaints whatsoever. In January, I also purchased a one year membership for my adult son who moved out of my home and influence in February of this year, he is now over 18 years old and can do as he pleases, without having to heed ANYTHING I ask him to do. Needless to say we did not part on good terms, he was disrespectful to his Mother and was not willing to follow any rules of this house. I have not seen him or spoken to him since he left ... until yesterday ... apparently last night-Aug - 28th-he took three non-members into this gym after hours-no staff on site-. The gym provides after hours access allowing 24 / 7 access for all members. Yesterday the gym sent me a text, informing me that because he did this and I was the one who signed him up for a one year contract, they were going to "fine me" $175. I told them what I just told you, that he is an adult, and he is not under my influence or control, and that fining me was IMO out of line in the sense that I should not have to pay for his bad actions, I also told them to kick him out of the gym and NOT allow him access. In all of this they were still unwilling to drop the fine that they keep claiming is my responsibility. Since they were acting so greedily obstinate and unreasonable towards me because of him, I today BLOCKED them from the automatic banking withdrawal that I had set up a year ago to pay for the monthly recurring fee for BOTH membership accounts. But they also had my credit card number from a ONE-TIME charge that was used literally over a year ago, and they charged my card anyway, not authorized by me. I contacted chase credit card services fraud department and told them verbatim what you have just read. They told me not to worry about it, that they would block these people from having any more access or be able to make anymore charges, and that this latest charge-THE FINE-would go to their dispute representatives. This whole thing could have been handled much easier and simpler and without as much conflict ... I WAS willing to fulfill my adult sons remaining contract, and mine, even though they had terminated his access, which he deserved/brought on himself, but the obstinate insistence from the "manager" of the Monroe facility that I pay a fine for something I had NOTHING to do with changed my decision on the monthly recurring charges. So be warned -- THESE ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT RUN Pursuit Fitness, IMHO you would be a fool to allow them ANY access to your private banking or credit card info. DONT DO IT!!!! read more
